Pāvila 2. Vēstule Korintiešiem 5
1 Jo mēs zinām, kad mūsu laicīgais mājoklis, šī būda būs salauzta, tad mums ir ēka no Dieva, mājoklis ne rokām taisīts, kas ir mūžīgs debesīs. (aiōnios g166)
For we know that, if our earthly tent-habitation be destroyed, we have a building provided by God, a house not made with hands, everlasting, in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
2 Jo šinī būdā mēs nopūšamies un ilgojamies, ka taptu pārģērbti ar savu dzīvokli, kas ir no debesīm;
For while in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven;
3 Proti, ja pavisam tiksim atrasti apģērbti, ne pliki.
since, indeed, when we have put off our present garment, we shall not be found naked.
4 Jo šinī būdā būdami mēs arī nopūšamies un esam apgrūtināti; tādēļ ka negribam tapt noģērbti, bet pārģērbti, lai tas, kas mirstams, top aprīts no dzīvības.
For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened; inasmuch as we do not desire to be unclothed, but to be clothed upon, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
5 Bet kas mūs uz šo pašu sataisa, ir Dievs, kas mums arī devis Tā Gara ķīlu.
Now he that hath prepared us for this very thing is God; who also gave to us the Spirit as the pledge.
6 Tāpēc mēs arvienu turam drošu prātu un zinām: kamēr mājojam miesās, tikmēr esam svešumā un vēl ne pie Tā Kunga.
We have courage, therefore, always, and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;
7 Jo mēs staigājam ticība, ne skatīšanā.
for we walk by faith, not by sight; but we have courage,
8 Bet mēs turam drošu prātu un gribam labāki būt ārā no miesām un būt pie Tā Kunga.
and are well pleased rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
9 Tāpēc arī, vai pie Tā Kunga mājās būdami, vai te vēl svešumā, dzenamies uz to, ka Viņam labi patīkam.
Wherefore we also strive that, whether at home or absent, we may be approved by him.
10 Jo mums visiem būs parādīties priekš Kristus soģa krēsla, lai ikviens dabū, ko miesās būdams darījis, vai labu, vai ļaunu.
For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.
11 Tad nu zinādami, ka To Kungu būs bīties, mēs pārliecinājām cilvēkus, bet Dievam esam zināmi; bet es ceru, ka mēs arī esam zināmi jūsu zināmās sirdīs.
Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but to God we have been made manifest, and I hope have been made manifest in your consciences also.
12 Jo mēs jums atkal neuzteicamies paši, bet jums ko dodam par mums lielīties; lai jums kas ir pret tiem, kas lielās ar to, kas priekš acīm, un ne ar to, kas sirdī.
For we are not again commending ourselves to you, but giving you occasion to glory on our behalf; that ye may have somewhat to answer those who glory in outward appearance, and not in heart.
13 Jo ja mēs par daudz teikuši, tad tas ir Dievam par godu; jeb ja mēreni, tad jums par labu.
For whether we were beside ourselves, it was for God; or whether we are in our sound mind, it is for you.
14 Jo Kristus mīlestība mūs spiež (atzīt),
For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judged, that if one died for all, then all died;
15 Kad spriežam tā: ka, ja viens par visiem ir miris, tad visi miruši. Un Viņš tādēļ par visiem ir miris, lai tie, kas dzīvo, vairs nedzīvo sev pašiem, bet Tam, kas par viņiem miris un uzmodināts.
and he died for all, that they who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who died for their sakes, and rose again.
16 Tad nu uz priekšu mēs nepazīstam nevienu pēc miesas; un jebšu mēs Kristu arī esam pazinuši pēc miesas, tomēr tagad Viņu vairs nepazīstam.
So that we henceforth know no one according to the flesh; and if we have even known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we no longer know him.
17 Tad nu, ja kas ir iekš Kristus, tas ir jauns radījums. Kas bijis, ir pagājis, redzi, viss ir palicis jauns.
Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Bet viss tas ir no Dieva, kas mūs ir salīdzinājis ar Sevi pašu caur Jēzu Kristu un mums devis to salīdzināšanas amatu.
And all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself by Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 Jo Dievs bija iekš Kristus, salīdzinādams pasauli ar Sevi pašu, tiem viņu grēkus nepielīdzinādams, un mūsu starpā ir iecēlis to salīdzināšanas vārdu.
seeing that in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Tad nu no Kristus puses mēs esam sūtīti, tā kā Dievs caur mums lūgtu, mēs lūdzam no Kristus puses: ļaujaties salīdzināties ar Dievu.
We then are ambassadors for Christ; as though God were exhorting you by us, in behalf of Christ we entreat you, Be reconciled to God.
21 Jo To, kas nekāda grēka nav zinājis, Viņš priekš mums ir darījis par grēku, ka mēs iekš Tā kļūtu Dieva taisnība.
Him, who knew not sin, he made sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness in him.
