1 Un Salamans nodomāja celt namu Tā Kunga vārdam un namu savai ķēniņa valdībai.
And Solomon said that he would build a house to the name of the Lord, and a house for his kingdom.
2 Un Salamans noskaitīja septiņdesmit tūkstoš vīrus pie nastu nešanas un astoņdesmit tūkstoš cirtējus uz kalniem un trīs tūkstoš sešsimt uzraugus pār viņiem.
And Solomon gathered seventy thousand men that bore burdens, and eighty thousand hewers of stone in the mountain, and [there were] three thousand six hundred superintendents over them.
3 Un Salamans sūtīja pie Hirama, Tirus ķēniņa, un lika sacīt: kā tu esi darījis manam tēvam Dāvidam un tam sūtījis ciedru kokus, sev namu celt, kur dzīvot, -
And Solomon sent to Chiram king of Tyre, saying, Whereas you did deal [favourably] with David my father, and did send him cedars to build for himself a house to dwell in,
4 Redzi, es gribu namu celt Tā Kunga, sava Dieva, vārdam un Viņam to svētīt, Viņa priekšā kvēpināt ar saldām kvēpināmām zālēm un nolikt vienmēr priekšliekamas maizes un upurēt dedzināmos upurus ik rītu un ik vakaru, svētdienās un jaunos mēnešos un Tā Kunga, mūsu Dieva, augstos svētkos, kā Israēlim mūžīgi pienākas.
behold, I also his son am building a house to the name of the Lord my God, to consecrate it to him, to burn incense before him, and [to offer] show bread continually, and to offer up whole burnt offerings continually morning and evening, and on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts of the Lord our God: this [is] a perpetual [statute] for Israel.
5 Un tas nams, ko es celšu, būs liels, jo mūsu Dievs ir lielāks nekā visi dievi.
And the house which I am building [is to be] great: for the Lord our God [is] great beyond all gods.
6 Bet kam tad tik daudz spēka, Viņam namu celt? Jo debesis un visu debesu debesis nespēs Viņu saņemt; kas tad es esmu, ka varētu Viņam celt namu? Bet ka tik vien Viņa priekšā varētu kvēpināt.
And who will be able to build him a house? for the heaven and heaven of heavens do not bear his glory: and who am I, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?
7 Un nu sūti man gudru vīru, kas māk izstrādāt zeltu un sudrabu un varu un dzelzi, purpuru, karmezīnu un zilumu, un kas prot strādāt izrakstītu darbu kopā ar tiem gudriem, kas pie manis iekš Jūda un Jeruzālemē, ko mans tēvs Dāvids gādājis.
And now send me a man wise and skilled to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and in scarlet, and in blue, and one that knows how to grave together with the craftsmen who are with me in Juda and in Jerusalem, which materials my father David prepared.
8 Sūti man arī ciedru kokus, priedes un algumim kokus no Lībanus; jo es zinu, ka tavi kalpi prot cirst Lībanus kokus. Un redzi, mani kalpi būs pie taviem,
And send me from Libanus cedar wood, and wood of juniper, and pine; for I know that your servants are skilled in cutting timber in Libanus: and, behold, your servants shall go with my servants,
9 Man sacirst kokus lielā vairumā; jo tas nams, ko es celšu, būs liels un apbrīnojams.
to prepare timber for me in abundance: for the house which I am building [must be] great and glorious.
10 Un redzi, taviem kalpiem, kas tos kokus cērt, es došu divdesmit tūkstoš koru samaltu kviešu un divdesmit tūkstoš koru miežu, un divdesmit tūkstoš batus vīna un divdesmit tūkstoš batus eļļas.
And, behold, I have given freely to your servants that work and cut the wood, corn for food, [even] twenty thousand measures of wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand measures of wine, and twenty thousand measures of oil.
11 Tad Hirams, Tirus ķēniņš, atbildēja caur grāmatām un sūtīja pie Salamana: tāpēc ka Tas Kungs Savus ļaudis mīļo, Viņš tevi licis pār tiem par ķēniņu.
And Chiram king of Tyre answered in writing, and sent to Solomon, saying, Because the Lord loved his people, he made you king over them.
12 Un Hirams sacīja: slavēts lai ir Tas Kungs, Israēla Dievs, kas radījis debesi un zemi, kas ķēniņam Dāvidam devis gudru, prātīgu un apdomīgu dēlu, kas namu uztaisīs Tam Kungam un namu savai ķēniņa valdībai.
And Chiram said, Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to king David a wise son, and one endowed with knowledge and understanding, who shall build a house for the Lord, and a house for his kingdom.
13 Tad es nu sūtu gudru pratēju vīru, Huramu Abivu;
And now I have sent you a wise and understanding man [who belonged] to Chiram my father
14 Viņa māte ir no Dana meitām, un viņa tēvs Tiriešu vīrs. Tas māk izstrādāt zeltu un sudrabu, varu, dzelzi, akmeņus, kokus, purpuru un zilumu un smalkas dzijas, audeklu un karmezīnu, un darīt visādu izrakstītu darbu, izdomāt visādas gudras lietas, ko tam liek, ar taviem gudriem un ar tava tēva, mana kunga, Dāvida, gudriem.
(his mother [was] of the daughters of Dan, and his father [was] a Tyrian), skilled to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in stones and wood; and to weave with purple, and blue, and fine linen, and scarlet; and to engrave, and to understand every device, whatever you shall give him [to do] with your craftsmen, and the craftsmen of my lord David your father.
15 Tad nu lai sūta taviem kalpiem tos kviešus un miežus un eļļu un vīnu, ko mans kungs minējis.
And now, the wheat, and the barley, and the oil, and the wine which my lord mentioned, let him send to his servants.
16 Tad mēs cirtīsim Lībanus kokus, cik tev vajag un pie tevis novedīsim ar plostiem pār jūru uz Joppi, tad tu tos varēsi likt vest uz Jeruzālemi.
And we will cut timber out of Libanus according to all your need, and we will bring it on rafts to the sea of Joppa, and you shall bring it to Jerusalem.
17 Un Salamans skaitīja visus svešiniekus Israēla zemē, pēc tās skaitīšanas, kā viņa tēvs Dāvids tos bija skaitījis, un tur atradās simt piecdesmit trīs tūkstoši seši simti.
And Solomon gathered all the foreigners that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering with which David his father numbered them; and there were found a hundred and fifty-three thousand six hundred.
18 Un viņš no tiem ņēma septiņdesmit tūkstoš nastu nesējus un astoņdesmit tūkstoš cirtējus uz kalniem un trīs tūkstoš sešsimt uzraugus, ļaudis dzīt pie darba.
And he made of them seventy thousand burden-bearers, and eighty thousand hewers of stone, and three thousand six hundred taskmasters over the people.
