1 Jūda bērni bija: Perecs, Hecrons un Karmus un Hurs un Šobals.
the sons of Judah, Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 Un Reajus, Šobala dēls, dzemdināja Jakatu. Un Jakats dzemdināja Ahumaju un Lahadu, šie ir Caregatiešu radi.
And, Reaiah son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and, Jahath, begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These, are the families of the Zorathites.
3 Šie ir no Etama tēva: Jezreēls, Jezmus un Jedbas, un viņu māsai bija vārds Aclelpone.
And, these, were the sons of Etam, Jezreel and Ishma, and Idbash, —and, the name of their sister, was Hazzelelponi;

And, Ashhur the father of Tekoa, had two wives, —Helah, and Naarah.
6 Un Naēra tam dzemdēja Akuzamu un Heferu un Temnu un Akastaru. Šie ir Naēras bērni.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzzam and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These, were the sons of Naarah.
7 Un Elleas bērni bija: Cerets, Jecoars un Etnans.
And, the sons of Helah, were Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.
8 Un Koc dzemdināja Anubu un Acobebu un Aharhēla, Aruma dēla, radus.
And, Koz, begat Anub, and Zobebah, —and the families of Aharhel, the son of Harum.
9 Un Jaēbecam bija lielāks gods pār saviem brāļiem, un viņa māte viņa vārdu bija saukusi Jaēbecs, sacīdama: es to ar sāpēm esmu dzemdējusi.
Now it came to pass that Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, —but, his mother, had called his name Jabez, ["he causes pain"] saying, Because I bare him with pain.
10 Jo Jaēbecs piesauca Israēla Dievu un sacīja: kaut tu mani svētīt svētītu un manas robežas vairotu, un tava roka būtu ar mani un darītu, ka ļaunums un sāpes mani neaiztiek Un Dievs tam lika nākt, ko viņš lūdza.
So then Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst, indeed bless, me, and enlarge my boundary, and that thy hand might be with me, —and that thou wouldst work [to deliver me] from evil, that it be not my pain. And God brought about that which he asked.
11 Un Kalubs, Zukas brālis, dzemdināja Meķeru, šis ir Estona tēvs.
And, Chelub the brother of Shuhah, begat Mehir, the same, was the father of Eshton.
12 Un Estons dzemdināja Betravu un Paseju un Teīnnu, Naāsa pilsētas tēvu. Šie ir Rekas vīri.
And, Eshton, begat Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of Ir-nahash. These, are the men of Recah.

And, the sons of Kenaz, were Othniel, and Seraiah, —and, the sons of Othniel, Hathath.

And, Meonothai, begat Ophrah, —and, Seraiah, begat Joab, the father of Ge-harashim, for they were, craftsmen.

And, the sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh, were Iru, Elah, and Naam, —and the sons of Elah and Kenaz.
16 Un Jealeēļa bērni bija: Zivs un Ziva, Tirja un Azareēls.
And, the sons of Jehallelel, Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
17 Un Ezras bērni bija: Jeters un Mereds un Hefers un Jalons un Taārs ar Mirjamu un Zamaju un Jezbu, Estemoas tēvu.
And, the sons of Ezrah, Jether and Mered, and Epher and Jalon. And, these, are the sons of Bithia, daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took, —and she conceived and bare Miriam and Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.
18 Un viņa sieva Judija dzemdēja Jeredu, Ģedora tēvu, un Heberu, Zokus tēvu, un Jekutiēli, Zanoas tēvu. Šie ir Bitjas, Faraona meitas, bērni, ko Mereds bija apņēmis.

And, the sons of Shimon, Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan and Tilon. And, the sons of Ishi, Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.
21 Un Šelus, Jūda dēla, bērni bija: Ģers, Lekas tēvs, un Laēdus, Marezas tēvs, un Azbeas nama vēveru(audēju) radi.
the sons of Shelah, the son of Judah, Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, —and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;
22 Ir Joķims un KoŠebas vīri un Joas un Zaravs, kas pār Moabiešiem valdījuši, un Jazubi Laēmā; bet tās jau ir vecas lietas.
and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph who ruled for Moab, and Jashubi-lehem, —but, the records, are ancient.
23 Tie bija podnieki un dzīvoja Netaīmā un Ģederā; pie ķēniņa darba tie tur dzīvoja.
They, were the potters and the inhabitants of Netaim, and Gederah, —with the king in his work, dwelt they there.
24 Sīmeana bērni bija: Nemuels un Jamins un Jaribs, Zerus, Sauls.
The sons of Simeon, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul:
25 Tā dēls bija Šalums, tā dēls Mibzams, tā dēls Mizmus.
Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
26 Un Mizmus bērni bija: Amuels, tā dēls Zakurs, tā dēls Šimejus.
And, the sons of Mishma, Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
27 Un Šimejum bija sešpadsmit dēli un sešas meitas, bet viņa brāļiem nebija daudz bērnu. Un visi viņu radi nevairojās tik daudz, kā Jūda bērni.
And, Shimei, had sixteen sons, and six daughters, but, his brethren, had not many children, —nor did, any of their family, multiply so much as the sons of Judah.

And they dwelt in Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual;
29 Un Bilā un Ecemā un Toladā
and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad;
30 Un Betuēlā un Ormā un Ciklagā
and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag;
31 Un Bet Markabotā un Acurzuzimā un Betbiērā un Sāraīma. Šās bija viņu pilsētas, tiekams Dāvids palika par ķēniņu.
and in Beth-marcaboth, and in Hazar-susim, and in Beth-biri, and in Shaaraim. These, were their cities unto the reign of David.

And, their villages, were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, —five cities;

and all their villages that were round about these cities, as far as Baal. These, were their habitations, and they had their own genealogical register.
34 Un Mezobabs un Jamleķs un Jošus, Amacījas dēls,
And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah;
35 Un Joēls un Jeūs, Jozivja dēls, tas bija Serajas, tas Aziēļa dēls,
and Joel, —and Jehu, the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel:
36 Un Eljoēnajus un Jaēkobus un Jezoaja un Azaja un Adiēls un Jezimeēls un Benaja,
and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah:
37 Un Zizas, Zivejus dēls, tas bija Alona, tas Jedajas, tas Zimrus, tas Šemajas dēls.
and Ziza, son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.

These, introduced by their names, were leading men in their families. And, their ancestral house, brake forth exceedingly;

so they went to the entering in of Gerar, unto the east of the valley, —to seek pasture for their flocks;
40 Un tie atrada taukas un labas ganības un plašu zemi, klusu un mierīgu, jo Hama bērni tur senāk dzīvoja.
and they found pasture, fat and good, and, the land, was broad on both hands, and quiet, and secure, —for, of Ham, were the dwellers there aforetime.
41 Un tie, vārdiem uzrakstītie, nāca Hizkijas, Jūda ķēniņa, laikā, un apkāva viņu teltis un dzīvotājus, kas tur bija, un tos izdeldēja līdz šai dienai, un dzīvoja viņu vietā, jo tur bija ganības viņu avīm.
But these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the Meunim who were found there, and devoted them, until this day, and dwelt in their stead, —for there was pasture for their flocks, there.
