< Titum 2 >

1 tu autem loquere quae decet sanam doctrinam
But say the things which fit sound doctrine,
2 senes ut sobrii sint pudici prudentes sani fide dilectione patientia
that older men should be sober-minded, worthy of respect, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in patience:
3 anus similiter in habitu sancto non criminatrices non vino multo servientes bene docentes
and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
4 ut prudentiam doceant adulescentulas ut viros suos ament filios diligant
that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 prudentes castas domus curam habentes benignas subditas suis viris ut non blasphemetur verbum Dei
to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and being subject to their own husbands, so that God's word may not be discredited.
6 iuvenes similiter hortare ut sobrii sint
Likewise, exhort the younger men to be self-controlled;
7 in omnibus te ipsum praebe exemplum bonorum operum in doctrina integritatem gravitatem
in all things showing yourself an example of good works. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness,
and a sound message that cannot be condemned; that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.
Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing in all things; not contradicting;
not stealing, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
11 apparuit enim gratia Dei salutaris omnibus hominibus
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,
instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; (aiōn g165)
13 expectantes beatam spem et adventum gloriae magni Dei et salvatoris nostri Iesu Christi
looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Yeshua the Messiah;
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
