Psalmorum 19
1 in finem psalmus David caeli enarrant gloriam Dei et opera manuum eius adnuntiat firmamentum
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The heauens declare the glory of God, and the firmament sheweth ye worke of his hands.
2 dies diei eructat verbum et nox nocti indicat scientiam
Day vnto day vttereth the same, and night vnto night teacheth knowledge.
3 non sunt loquellae neque sermones quorum non audiantur voces eorum
There is no speach nor language, where their voyce is not heard.
4 in omnem terram exivit sonus eorum et in fines orbis terrae verba eorum
Their line is gone forth through all the earth, and their words into the endes of the world: in them hath he set a tabernacle for the sunne.
5 in sole posuit tabernaculum suum et ipse tamquam sponsus procedens de thalamo suo exultavit ut gigans ad currendam viam suam
Which commeth forth as a bridegrome out of his chamber, and reioyceth like a mightie man to runne his race.
6 a summo caeli egressio eius et occursus eius usque ad summum eius nec est qui se abscondat a calore eius
His going out is from the ende of the heauen, and his compasse is vnto the endes of ye same, and none is hid from the heate thereof.
7 lex Domini inmaculata convertens animas testimonium Domini fidele sapientiam praestans parvulis
The Lawe of the Lord is perfite, conuerting the soule: the testimonie of the Lord is sure, and giueth wisedome vnto the simple.
8 iustitiae Domini rectae laetificantes corda praeceptum Domini lucidum inluminans oculos
The statutes of the Lord are right and reioyce the heart: the commandement of the Lord is pure, and giueth light vnto the eyes.
9 timor Domini sanctus permanens in saeculum saeculi iudicia Domini vera iustificata in semet ipsa
The feare of the Lord is cleane, and indureth for euer: the iudgements of the Lord are trueth: they are righteous altogether,
10 desiderabilia super aurum et lapidem pretiosum multum et dulciora super mel et favum
And more to be desired then golde, yea, then much fine golde: sweeter also then honie and the honie combe.
11 etenim servus tuus custodit ea in custodiendis illis retributio multa
Moreouer by them is thy seruant made circumspect, and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 delicta quis intellegit ab occultis meis munda me
Who can vnderstand his faultes? clense me from secret fautes.
13 et ab alienis parce servo tuo si mei non fuerint dominati tunc inmaculatus ero et emundabor a delicto maximo
Keepe thy seruant also from presumptuous sinnes: let them not reigne ouer me: so shall I be vpright, and made cleane from much wickednes.
14 et erunt ut conplaceant eloquia oris mei et meditatio cordis mei in conspectu tuo semper Domine adiutor meus et redemptor meus
Let the wordes of my mouth, and the meditation of mine heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
