Psalmorum 135
1 alleluia laudate nomen Domini laudate servi Dominum
Praise YAH! Praise the Name of YHWH, Praise, you servants of YHWH,
2 qui statis in domo Domini in atriis domus Dei nostri
Who are standing in the house of YHWH, In the courts of the house of our God.
3 laudate Dominum quia bonus Dominus psallite nomini eius quoniam suave
Praise YAH! For YHWH [is] good, Sing praise to His Name, for [it is] pleasant.
4 quoniam Iacob elegit sibi Dominus Israhel in possessionem sibi
For YAH has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His peculiar treasure.
5 quia ego cognovi quod magnus est Dominus et Deus noster prae omnibus diis
For I have known that YHWH [is] great, Indeed, our Lord [is] above all gods.
6 omnia quae voluit Dominus fecit in caelo et in terra in mare et in omnibus abyssis
All that YHWH pleased He has done, In the heavens and in earth, In the seas and all deep places,
7 educens nubes ab extremo terrae fulgora in pluviam fecit qui producit ventos de thesauris suis
Causing vapors to ascend from the end of the earth, He has made lightnings for the rain, Bringing forth wind from His treasures.
8 qui percussit primogenita Aegypti ab homine usque ad pecus
Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, From man to beast.
9 emisit signa et prodigia in medio tui Aegypte in Pharaonem et in omnes servos eius
He sent tokens and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, On Pharaoh and on all his servants.
10 qui percussit gentes multas et occidit reges fortes
Who struck many nations, and slew strong kings,
11 Seon regem Amorreorum et Og regem Basan et omnia regna Chanaan
Even Sihon king of the Amorite, And Og king of Bashan, And all kingdoms of Canaan.
12 et dedit terram eorum hereditatem hereditatem Israhel populo suo
And He gave their land an inheritance, An inheritance to His people Israel,
13 Domine nomen tuum in aeternum Domine memoriale tuum in generationem et generationem
O YHWH, Your Name [is] for all time, O YHWH, Your memorial from generation to generation.
14 quia iudicabit Dominus populum suum et in servis suis deprecabitur
For YHWH judges His people, And comforts Himself for His servants.
15 simulacra gentium argentum et aurum opera manuum hominum
The idols of the nations [are] silver and gold, Work of the hands of man.
16 os habent et non loquentur oculos habent et non videbunt
They have a mouth, and they do not speak, They have eyes, and they do not see,
17 aures habent et non audient neque enim est spiritus in ore eorum
They have ears, and they do not give ear, Nose—there is no breath in their mouth!
18 similes illis fiant qui faciunt ea et omnes qui sperant in eis
Their makers are like them, Everyone who is trusting in them.
19 domus Israhel benedicite Domino domus Aaron benedicite Domino
O house of Israel, bless YHWH, O house of Aaron, bless YHWH,
20 domus Levi benedicite Domino qui timetis Dominum benedicite Domino
O house of Levi, bless YHWH, Those fearing YHWH, bless YHWH.
21 benedictus Dominus ex Sion qui habitat in Hierusalem
Blessed [is] YHWH from Zion, Inhabiting Jerusalem—praise YAH!
