Liber Numeri 7
1 factum est autem in die qua conplevit Moses tabernaculum et erexit illud unxitque et sanctificavit cum omnibus vasis suis altare similiter et vasa eius
And it came to pass, on the day when Moses made an end of rearing up the habitation and anointing it, and hallowing it, and all the furniture thereof, and the altar, and all the utensils thereof, —both of anointing them, and hallowing them,
2 obtulerunt principes Israhel et capita familiarum qui erant per singulas tribus praefecti eorum qui numerati fuerant
that the princes of Israel, the heads of their ancestral houses, made an offering, —they being princes of the tribes, they being the men who stood over them who were numbered:
3 munera coram Domino sex plaustra tecta cum duodecim bubus unum plaustrum obtulere duo duces et unum bovem singuli obtuleruntque ea in conspectu tabernaculi
yea then brought they in as their offering, before Yahweh—six covered waggons, and twelve oxen, a waggon for every two of the princes and an ox for each one, —yea they brought them near before the habitation.
4 ait autem Dominus ad Mosen
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
5 suscipe ab eis ut serviant in ministerio tabernaculi et tradas ea Levitis iuxta ordinem ministerii sui
Take [them] of them, so shall they be for doing the laborious work of the tent of meeting, —and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to the need of his laborious work.
6 itaque cum suscepisset Moses plaustra et boves tradidit eos Levitis
So Moses took the waggons, and the oxen, —and gave them unto the Levites:
7 duo plaustra et quattuor boves dedit filiis Gerson iuxta id quod habebant necessarium
two of the waggons and four of the oxen, gave he unto the sons of Gershon, —according to the need of their laborious work;
8 quattuor alia plaustra et octo boves dedit filiis Merari secundum officia et cultum suum sub manu Ithamar filii Aaron sacerdotis
and four of the waggons, and eight of the oxen, gave he unto the sons of Merari, —according to the need of their laborious work, in the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest;
9 filiis autem Caath non dedit plaustra et boves quia in sanctuario serviunt et onera propriis portant umeris
but, unto the sons of Kohath, gave he none, —because as to the laborious work of the sanctuary which pertained unto them, upon their shoulders, were they to carry it.
10 igitur obtulerunt duces in dedicationem altaris die qua unctum est oblationem suam ante altare
So then the princes offered for the dedication of the altar, on the day it was anointed, —yea the princes offered their oblation before the altar,
11 dixitque Dominus ad Mosen singuli duces per singulos dies offerant munera in dedicationem altaris
And Yahweh said unto Moses: Each prince on his appointed day, thus shall they offer their oblation, for the dedication of the altar.
12 primo die obtulit oblationem suam Naasson filius Aminadab de tribu Iuda
And so it was, that, he who on the first day, offered his oblation, —was Nahshon son of Amminadab of the tribe of Judah;
13 fueruntque in ea acetabulum argenteum pondo centum triginta siclorum fiala argentea habens septuaginta siclos iuxta pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
and his offering, was—one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty shekels, the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil for a meal-offering;
14 mortariolum ex decem siclis aureis plenum incenso
one spoon of ten shekels of gold full of incense;
15 bovem et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
16 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat, as a sin-bearer;
17 et in sacrificio pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec est oblatio Naasson filii Aminadab
and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Nashon, son of Amminadab.
18 secundo die obtulit Nathanahel filius Suar dux de tribu Isachar
On the second day, Nethanel, son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, brought his offering.
19 acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos iuxta pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
He offered as his oblation—one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty shekels, the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;
20 mortariolum aureum habens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense;
21 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
22 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat, as a sin-bearer;
23 et in sacrificio pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Nathanahel filii Suar
and, as peace-offering two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Nethanel, son of Zuar.
24 tertio die princeps filiorum Zabulon Heliab filius Helon
On the third day, the prince of the sons of Zebulun, —Eliab, son of Helon:
25 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, —one charger of silver a hundred and thirty shekels, the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;
26 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon, of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense;
27 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock, one ram, one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
28 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat, as a sin-bearer;
29 et in sacrificio pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec est oblatio Heliab filii Helon
and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Eliab, son of Helon.
30 die quarto princeps filiorum Ruben Helisur filius Sedeur
On the fourth day, the prince of he sons of Reuben, —Elizur, son of Shedeur:
31 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of Silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil, as a meal-offering;
32 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense:
33 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram, one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
34 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat for a sin-bearer;
35 et in hostias pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Helisur filii Sedeur
and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Elizur, son of Shedeur.
36 die quinto princeps filiorum Symeon Salamihel filius Surisaddai
On the fifth day, the prince of the sons of Simeon, —Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai:
37 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver a hundred and thirty shekels, the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;
38 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold, full of incense;
39 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram one he-lamb of the first year as an ascending-sacrifice;
40 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat as a sin-bearer;
41 et in hostias pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Salamihel filii Surisaddai
and, as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai.
42 die sexto princeps filiorum Gad Heliasaph filius Duhel
On the sixth day, the prince of the sons of Gad, —Eliasaph, son of Deuel:
43 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, one tossing bowl, of silver, seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil, as a meal-offering;
44 mortariolum aureum adpendens siclos decem plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense;
45 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
46 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat as a sin-bearer;
47 et in hostias pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Heliasaph filii Duhel
and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Eliasaph, son of Deuel.
48 die septimo princeps filiorum Ephraim Helisama filius Ammiud
On the seventh day, the prince of the sons of Ephraim, —Elishama, son of Ammihud:
49 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver a hundred and thirty shekels, the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;
50 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold, full of incense;
51 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock, one ram, one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
52 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat, as a sin-bearer;
53 et in hostias pacificas boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Helisama filii Ammiud
and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Elishama, son of Ammihud.
54 die octavo princeps filiorum Manasse Gamalihel filius Phadassur
On the eighth day, the prince of the sons of Manasseh, —Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur:
55 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, one tossing bowl, of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;
56 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense;
57 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram one he-lamb of the first year as an ascending-sacrifice:
58 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat, as a sin-bearer;
59 et in hostias pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Gamalihel filii Phadassur
and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.
60 die nono princeps filiorum Beniamin Abidan filius Gedeonis
On the ninth day, the prince of the sons of Benjamin, —Abidan, son of Gideoni:
61 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, —one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil, as a meal-offering;
62 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon, of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense;

and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Abidan, son of Gideoni.

On the tenth day, the prince of the sons of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai:

his offering, one charger of silver a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, —one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;

On the eleventh day, the prince of the sons of Asher, Pagiel son of Ochran;

his offering, one charger of silver, a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, one tossing bowl, of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, —both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil as a meal-offering;

one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold, full of incense;

one choice young bullock, one ram one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;

and as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering of Pagiel, son of Ochran.

On the twelfth day, the prince of the sons of Naphtali, Ahira, son of Enan:
79 obtulit acetabulum argenteum adpendens centum triginta siclos fialam argenteam habentem septuaginta siclos ad pondus sanctuarii utrumque plenum simila conspersa oleo in sacrificium
his offering, one charger of silver a hundred and thirty [shekels], the weight thereof, one tossing bowl of silver, seventy shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them, full of fine meal overflowed with oil, as a meal-offering;
80 mortariolum aureum adpendens decem siclos plenum incenso
one spoon of ten [shekels] of gold full of incense;
81 bovem de armento et arietem et agnum anniculum in holocaustum
one choice young bullock one ram one he-lamb of the first year, as an ascending-sacrifice;
82 hircumque pro peccato
one young he-goat as a sin-bearer;
83 et in hostias pacificorum boves duos arietes quinque hircos quinque agnos anniculos quinque haec fuit oblatio Achira filii Henan
and, as a peace-offering, two oxen, five rams five he-goats, five he-lambs of the first year, this, was the offering of Ahira, son of Enan.
84 haec in dedicatione altaris oblata sunt a principibus Israhel in die qua consecratum est acetabula argentea duodecim fialae argenteae duodecim mortariola aurea duodecim
This, was the offering for the dedication of the altar in the day when it was anointed, from the princes of Israel, —twelve chargers of silver twelve tossing bowls of silver, twelve spoons of gold;
85 ita ut centum triginta argenti siclos haberet unum acetabulum et septuaginta siclos una fiala id est in commune vasorum omnium ex argento sicli duo milia quadringenti pondere sanctuarii
a hundred and thirty [shekels], each charger of silver, and seventy, each tossing bowl, —all the silver of the vessels, two thousand and four hundred [shekels], by the shekel of the sanctuary;
86 mortariola aurea duodecim plena incenso denos siclos adpendentia pondere sanctuarii id est simul auri sicli centum viginti
twelve spoons of gold full of incense, ten shekels each spoon by the shekel of the sanctuary, —all the gold of the spoons, a hundred and twenty [shekels].
87 boves de armento in holocaustum duodecim arietes duodecim agni anniculi duodecim et libamenta eorum hirci duodecim pro peccato
All the herd for the ascending-sacrifice, —twelve bullocks twelve rams twelve he-lambs of the first year with their meal-offering, —twelve young he-goats for the bearing of sin;
88 hostiae pacificorum boves viginti quattuor arietes sexaginta hirci sexaginta agni anniculi sexaginta haec oblata sunt in dedicatione altaris quando unctum est
and all the herd for the peace-offering, twenty-four bullocks sixty rams, sixty he-goats sixty he-lambs of the first year, —this, was the offering for the dedication of the altar, after it was anointed.
89 cumque ingrederetur Moses tabernaculum foederis ut consuleret oraculum audiebat vocem loquentis ad se de propitiatorio quod erat super arcam testimonii inter duos cherubin unde et loquebatur ei
And when Moses entered into the tent of meeting, that He might speak with him, then heard he the Voice speaking unto him from off the propitiatory that was upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim, —so He spake unto him.
