Aionian Verses
congregatis autem cunctis liberis eius ut lenirent dolorem patris noluit consolationem recipere et ait descendam ad filium meum lugens in infernum et illo perseverante in fletu (Sheol )
And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. (Sheol )
at ille non descendet inquit filius meus vobiscum frater eius mortuus est ipse solus remansit si quid ei adversi acciderit in terra ad quam pergitis deducetis canos meos cum dolore ad inferos (Sheol )
And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. (Sheol )
si tuleritis et istum et aliquid ei in via contigerit deducetis canos meos cum maerore ad inferos (Sheol )
And if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. (Sheol )
videritque eum non esse nobiscum morietur et deducent famuli tui canos eius cum dolore ad inferos (Sheol )
It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad [is] not [with us], that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave. (Sheol )
sin autem novam rem fecerit Dominus ut aperiens terra os suum degluttiat eos et omnia quae ad illos pertinent descenderintque viventes in infernum scietis quod blasphemaverint Dominum (Sheol )
But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that [appertain] unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD. (Sheol )
descenderuntque vivi in infernum operti humo et perierunt de medio multitudinis (Sheol )
They, and all that [appertained] to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. (Sheol )
ignis succensus est in furore meo et ardebit usque ad inferni novissima devorabitque terram cum germine suo et montium fundamenta conburet (Sheol )
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol )
Dominus mortificat et vivificat deducit ad infernum et reducit (Sheol )
The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. (Sheol )
funes inferi circumdederunt me praevenerunt me laquei mortis (Sheol )
The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; (Sheol )
facies ergo iuxta sapientiam tuam et non deduces canitiem eius pacifice ad inferos (Sheol )
Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down to the grave in peace. (Sheol )
tu noli pati esse eum innoxium vir autem sapiens es et scies quae facias ei deducesque canos eius cum sanguine ad infernum (Sheol )
Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou [art] a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood. (Sheol )
sicut consumitur nubes et pertransit sic qui descenderit ad inferos non ascendet (Sheol )
[As] the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no [more]. (Sheol )
excelsior caelo est et quid facies profundior inferno et unde cognosces (Sheol )
[It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? (Sheol )
quis mihi hoc tribuat ut in inferno protegas me ut abscondas me donec pertranseat furor tuus et constituas mihi tempus in quo recorderis mei (Sheol )
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol )
si sustinuero infernus domus mea est in tenebris stravi lectulum meum (Sheol )
If I wait, the grave [is] mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol )
in profundissimum infernum descendent omnia mea putasne saltim ibi erit requies mihi (Sheol )
They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when [our] rest together [is] in the dust. (Sheol )
ducunt in bonis dies suos et in puncto ad inferna descendunt (Sheol )
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. (Sheol )
ad nimium calorem transeat ab aquis nivium et usque ad inferos peccatum illius (Sheol )
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: [so doth] the grave [those which] have sinned. (Sheol )
nudus est inferus coram illo et nullum est operimentum perditioni (Sheol )
Hell [is] naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. (Sheol )
quoniam non est in morte qui memor sit tui in inferno autem quis confitebitur tibi (Sheol )
For in death [there is] no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol )
convertantur peccatores in infernum omnes gentes quae obliviscuntur Deum (Sheol )
The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. (Sheol )
quoniam non derelinques animam meam in inferno non dabis sanctum tuum videre corruptionem (Sheol )
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol )

Domine eduxisti ab inferno animam meam salvasti me a descendentibus in lacum (Sheol )
O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol )
Domine ne confundar quoniam invocavi te erubescant impii et deducantur in infernum (Sheol )
Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, [and] let them be silent in the grave. (Sheol )
sicut oves in inferno positi sunt mors depascet eos et dominabuntur eorum iusti in matutino et auxilium eorum veterescet in inferno a gloria eorum (Sheol )
Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. (Sheol )
verumtamen Deus redimet animam meam de manu inferi cum acceperit me diapsalma (Sheol )
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. (Selah) (Sheol )

Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol )

For great [is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. (Sheol )
quia repleta est malis anima mea et vita mea in inferno adpropinquavit (Sheol )
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. (Sheol )
quis est homo qui vivet et non videbit mortem eruet animam suam de manu inferi diapsalma (Sheol )
What man [is he that] liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol )
circumdederunt me dolores mortis pericula inferni invenerunt me tribulationem et dolorem inveni (Sheol )
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol )
si ascendero in caelum tu illic es si descendero ad infernum ades (Sheol )
If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there]. (Sheol )
sicut crassitudo terrae erupta est super terram dissipata sunt ossa nostra secus infernum (Sheol )
Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth. (Sheol )
degluttiamus eum sicut infernus viventem et integrum quasi descendentem in lacum (Sheol )
Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: (Sheol )
pedes eius descendunt in mortem et ad inferos gressus illius penetrant (Sheol )
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. (Sheol )
viae inferi domus eius penetrantes interiora mortis (Sheol )
Her house [is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. (Sheol )
et ignoravit quod gigantes ibi sint et in profundis inferni convivae eius (Sheol )
But he knoweth not that the dead [are] there; [and that] her guests [are] in the depths of hell. (Sheol )
infernus et perditio coram Domino quanto magis corda filiorum hominum (Sheol )
Hell and destruction [are] before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? (Sheol )
semita vitae super eruditum ut declinet de inferno novissimo (Sheol )
The way of life [is] above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. (Sheol )
tu virga percuties eum et animam eius de inferno liberabis (Sheol )
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. (Sheol )
infernus et perditio non replentur similiter et oculi hominum insatiabiles (Sheol )
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. (Sheol )
infernus et os vulvae et terra quae non satiatur aqua ignis vero numquam dicit sufficit (Sheol )
The grave; and the barren womb; the earth [that] is not filled with water; and the fire [that] saith not, [It is] enough. (Sheol )
quodcumque potest manus tua facere instanter operare quia nec opus nec ratio nec scientia nec sapientia erunt apud inferos quo tu properas (Sheol )
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. (Sheol )
pone me ut signaculum super cor tuum ut signaculum super brachium tuum quia fortis est ut mors dilectio dura sicut inferus aemulatio lampades eius lampades ignis atque flammarum (Sheol )
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love [is] strong as death; jealousy [is] cruel as the grave: the coals thereof [are] coals of fire, [which hath a] most vehement flame. (Sheol )
propterea dilatavit infernus animam suam et aperuit os suum absque ullo termino et descendent fortes eius et populus eius et sublimes gloriosique eius ad eum (Sheol )
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (Sheol )
pete tibi signum a Domino Deo tuo in profundum inferni sive in excelsum supra (Sheol )
Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. (Sheol )
infernus subter conturbatus est in occursum adventus tui suscitavit tibi gigantas omnes principes terrae surrexerunt de soliis suis omnes principes nationum (Sheol )
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol )
detracta est ad inferos superbia tua concidit cadaver tuum subter te sternetur tinea et operimentum tuum erunt vermes (Sheol )
Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, [and] the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. (Sheol )
verumtamen ad infernum detraheris in profundum laci (Sheol )
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. (Sheol )
dixistis enim percussimus foedus cum morte et cum inferno fecimus pactum flagellum inundans cum transierit non veniet super nos quia posuimus mendacium spem nostram et mendacio protecti sumus (Sheol )
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol )
et delebitur foedus vestrum cum morte et pactum vestrum cum inferno non stabit flagellum inundans cum transierit eritis ei in conculcationem (Sheol )
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol )
ego dixi in dimidio dierum meorum vadam ad portas inferi quaesivi residuum annorum meorum (Sheol )
I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years. (Sheol )
quia non infernus confitebitur tibi neque mors laudabit te non expectabunt qui descendunt in lacum veritatem tuam (Sheol )
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can [not] celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Sheol )
et ornasti te regi unguento et multiplicasti pigmenta tua misisti legatos tuos procul et humiliata es usque ad inferos (Sheol )
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] unto hell. (Sheol )
haec dicit Dominus Deus in die quando descendit ad inferos indixi luctum operui eum abysso et prohibui flumina eius et coercui aquas multas contristatus est super eum Libanus et omnia ligna agri concussa sunt (Sheol )
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol )
a sonitu ruinae eius commovi gentes cum deducerem eum ad infernum cum his qui descendebant in lacum et consolata sunt in terra infima omnia ligna voluptatis egregia atque praeclara in Libano universa quae inrigabantur aquis (Sheol )
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. (Sheol )
nam et ipsi cum ea descendent ad infernum ad interfectos gladio et brachium uniuscuiusque sedebit sub umbraculo eius in medio nationum (Sheol )
They also went down into hell with him unto [them that be] slain with the sword; and [they that were] his arm, [that] dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen. (Sheol )
loquentur ei potentissimi robustorum de medio inferni qui cum auxiliatoribus eius descenderunt et dormierunt incircumcisi interfecti gladio (Sheol )
The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword. (Sheol )
et non dormient cum fortibus cadentibusque et incircumcisis qui descenderunt ad infernum cum armis suis et posuerunt gladios suos sub capitibus suis et fuerunt iniquitates eorum in ossibus eorum quia terror fortium facti sunt in terra viventium (Sheol )
And they shall not lie with the mighty [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol )
de manu mortis liberabo eos de morte redimam eos ero mors tua o mors ero morsus tuus inferne consolatio abscondita est ab oculis meis (Sheol )
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol )

Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: (Sheol )
et dixit clamavi de tribulatione mea ad Dominum et exaudivit me de ventre inferni clamavi et exaudisti vocem meam (Sheol )
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice. (Sheol )
et quomodo vinum potantem decipit sic erit vir superbus et non decorabitur qui dilatavit quasi infernus animam suam et ipse quasi mors et non adimpletur et congregabit ad se omnes gentes et coacervabit ad se omnes populos (Sheol )
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, [he is] a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and [is] as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people: (Sheol )
ego autem dico vobis quia omnis qui irascitur fratri suo reus erit iudicio qui autem dixerit fratri suo racha reus erit concilio qui autem dixerit fatue reus erit gehennae ignis (Geenna )
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (Geenna )
quod si oculus tuus dexter scandalizat te erue eum et proice abs te expedit enim tibi ut pereat unum membrorum tuorum quam totum corpus tuum mittatur in gehennam (Geenna )
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna )
et si dextera manus tua scandalizat te abscide eam et proice abs te expedit tibi ut pereat unum membrorum tuorum quam totum corpus tuum eat in gehennam (Geenna )
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna )
et nolite timere eos qui occidunt corpus animam autem non possunt occidere sed potius eum timete qui potest et animam et corpus perdere in gehennam (Geenna )
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna )
et tu Capharnaum numquid usque in caelum exaltaberis usque in infernum descendes quia si in Sodomis factae fuissent virtutes quae factae sunt in te forte mansissent usque in hunc diem (Hadēs )
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs )
et quicumque dixerit verbum contra Filium hominis remittetur ei qui autem dixerit contra Spiritum Sanctum non remittetur ei neque in hoc saeculo neque in futuro (aiōn )
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come. (aiōn )
qui autem est seminatus in spinis hic est qui verbum audit et sollicitudo saeculi istius et fallacia divitiarum suffocat verbum et sine fructu efficitur (aiōn )
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. (aiōn )
inimicus autem qui seminavit ea est diabolus messis vero consummatio saeculi est messores autem angeli sunt (aiōn )
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (aiōn )
sicut ergo colliguntur zizania et igni conburuntur sic erit in consummatione saeculi (aiōn )
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (aiōn )
sic erit in consummatione saeculi exibunt angeli et separabunt malos de medio iustorum (aiōn )
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, (aiōn )
et ego dico tibi quia tu es Petrus et super hanc petram aedificabo ecclesiam meam et portae inferi non praevalebunt adversum eam (Hadēs )
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Hadēs )
si autem manus tua vel pes tuus scandalizat te abscide eum et proice abs te bonum tibi est ad vitam ingredi debilem vel clodum quam duas manus vel duos pedes habentem mitti in ignem aeternum (aiōnios )
Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. (aiōnios )
et si oculus tuus scandalizat te erue eum et proice abs te bonum tibi est unoculum in vitam intrare quam duos oculos habentem mitti in gehennam ignis (Geenna )
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. (Geenna )
et ecce unus accedens ait illi magister bone quid boni faciam ut habeam vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (aiōnios )
et omnis qui reliquit domum vel fratres aut sorores aut patrem aut matrem aut uxorem aut filios aut agros propter nomen meum centuplum accipiet et vitam aeternam possidebit (aiōnios )
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (aiōnios )
et videns fici arborem unam secus viam venit ad eam et nihil invenit in ea nisi folia tantum et ait illi numquam ex te fructus nascatur in sempiternum et arefacta est continuo ficulnea (aiōn )
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. (aiōn )
vae vobis scribae et Pharisaei hypocritae quia circuitis mare et aridam ut faciatis unum proselytum et cum fuerit factus facitis eum filium gehennae duplo quam vos (Geenna )
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. (Geenna )
serpentes genimina viperarum quomodo fugietis a iudicio gehennae (Geenna )
[Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Geenna )
sedente autem eo super montem Oliveti accesserunt ad eum discipuli secreto dicentes dic nobis quando haec erunt et quod signum adventus tui et consummationis saeculi (aiōn )
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (aiōn )
tunc dicet et his qui a sinistris erunt discedite a me maledicti in ignem aeternum qui paratus est diabolo et angelis eius (aiōnios )
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (aiōnios )
et ibunt hii in supplicium aeternum iusti autem in vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (aiōnios )
docentes eos servare omnia quaecumque mandavi vobis et ecce ego vobiscum sum omnibus diebus usque ad consummationem saeculi (aiōn )
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. (aiōn )
qui autem blasphemaverit in Spiritum Sanctum non habet remissionem in aeternum sed reus erit aeterni delicti (aiōn , aiōnios )
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: (aiōn , aiōnios )
et aerumnae saeculi et deceptio divitiarum et circa reliqua concupiscentiae introeuntes suffocant verbum et sine fructu efficitur (aiōn )
And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn )
et si scandalizaverit te manus tua abscide illam bonum est tibi debilem introire in vitam quam duas manus habentem ire in gehennam in ignem inextinguibilem (Geenna )
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (Geenna )
et si pes tuus te scandalizat amputa illum bonum est tibi claudum introire in vitam aeternam quam duos pedes habentem mitti in gehennam ignis inextinguibilis (Geenna )
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (Geenna )
quod si oculus tuus scandalizat te eice eum bonum est tibi luscum introire in regnum Dei quam duos oculos habentem mitti in gehennam ignis (Geenna )
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: (Geenna )
et cum egressus esset in viam procurrens quidam genu flexo ante eum rogabat eum magister bone quid faciam ut vitam aeternam percipiam (aiōnios )
And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios )
qui non accipiat centies tantum nunc in tempore hoc domos et fratres et sorores et matres et filios et agros cum persecutionibus et in saeculo futuro vitam aeternam (aiōn , aiōnios )
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. (aiōn , aiōnios )

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios )
ostendam autem vobis quem timeatis timete eum qui postquam occiderit habet potestatem mittere in gehennam ita dico vobis hunc timete (Geenna )
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Geenna )
et laudavit dominus vilicum iniquitatis quia prudenter fecisset quia filii huius saeculi prudentiores filiis lucis in generatione sua sunt (aiōn )
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. (aiōn )
et ego vobis dico facite vobis amicos de mamona iniquitatis ut cum defeceritis recipiant vos in aeterna tabernacula (aiōnios )
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios )

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs )

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios )
et non recipiat multo plura in hoc tempore et in saeculo venturo vitam aeternam (aiōn , aiōnios )
Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. (aiōn , aiōnios )

And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: (aiōn )
illi autem qui digni habebuntur saeculo illo et resurrectione ex mortuis neque nubunt neque ducunt uxores (aiōn )
But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: (aiōn )

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios )

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Hadēs )

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. (Hadēs )

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. (aiōn )
tunc constanter Paulus et Barnabas dixerunt vobis oportebat primum loqui verbum Dei sed quoniam repellitis illud et indignos vos iudicastis aeternae vitae ecce convertimur ad gentes (aiōnios )
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios )
audientes autem gentes gavisae sunt et glorificabant verbum Domini et crediderunt quotquot erant praeordinati ad vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (aiōnios )

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. (aiōn )

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (aïdios )
qui commutaverunt veritatem Dei in mendacio et coluerunt et servierunt creaturae potius quam creatori qui est benedictus in saecula amen (aiōn )
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
his quidem qui secundum patientiam boni operis gloriam et honorem et incorruptionem quaerentibus vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: (aiōnios )
ut sicut regnavit peccatum in morte ita et gratia regnet per iustitiam in vitam aeternam per Iesum Christum Dominum nostrum (aiōnios )
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios )

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. (aiōnios )

For of him, and through him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
et nolite conformari huic saeculo sed reformamini in novitate sensus vestri ut probetis quae sit voluntas Dei bona et placens et perfecta (aiōn )
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (aiōn )

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, (aiōnios )

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: (aiōnios )
solo sapienti Deo per Iesum Christum cui honor in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
To God only wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
ubi sapiens ubi scriba ubi conquisitor huius saeculi nonne stultam fecit Deus sapientiam huius mundi (aiōn )
Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn )
sapientiam autem loquimur inter perfectos sapientiam vero non huius saeculi neque principum huius saeculi qui destruuntur (aiōn )
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: (aiōn )
sed loquimur Dei sapientiam in mysterio quae abscondita est quam praedestinavit Deus ante saecula in gloriam nostram (aiōn )
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (aiōn )
quam nemo principum huius saeculi cognovit si enim cognovissent numquam Dominum gloriae crucifixissent (aiōn )
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (aiōn )
nemo se seducat si quis videtur inter vos sapiens esse in hoc saeculo stultus fiat ut sit sapiens (aiōn )
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. (aiōn )
quapropter si esca scandalizat fratrem meum non manducabo carnem in aeternum ne fratrem meum scandalizem (aiōn )
Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. (aiōn )

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (aiōn )

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (aiōn )
id enim quod in praesenti est momentaneum et leve tribulationis nostrae supra modum in sublimitatem aeternum gloriae pondus operatur nobis (aiōnios )
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; (aiōnios )
non contemplantibus nobis quae videntur sed quae non videntur quae enim videntur temporalia sunt quae autem non videntur aeterna sunt (aiōnios )
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal. (aiōnios )
scimus enim quoniam si terrestris domus nostra huius habitationis dissolvatur quod aedificationem ex Deo habeamus domum non manufactam aeternam in caelis (aiōnios )
For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios )

(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. (aiōn )

Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: (aiōn )

quoniam qui seminat in carne sua de carne et metet corruptionem qui autem seminat in spiritu de spiritu metet vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (aiōnios )
supra omnem principatum et potestatem et virtutem et dominationem et omne nomen quod nominatur non solum in hoc saeculo sed et in futuro (aiōn )
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (aiōn )
in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum saeculum mundi huius secundum principem potestatis aeris huius spiritus qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiae (aiōn )
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (aiōn )
ut ostenderet in saeculis supervenientibus abundantes divitias gratiae suae in bonitate super nos in Christo Iesu (aiōn )
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (aiōn )
et inluminare omnes quae sit dispensatio sacramenti absconditi a saeculis in Deo qui omnia creavit (aiōn )
And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (aiōn )
secundum praefinitionem saeculorum quam fecit in Christo Iesu Domino nostro (aiōn )
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (aiōn )
ipsi gloria in ecclesia et in Christo Iesu in omnes generationes saeculi saeculorum amen (aiōn )
Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (aiōn )
quia non est nobis conluctatio adversus carnem et sanguinem sed adversus principes et potestates adversus mundi rectores tenebrarum harum contra spiritalia nequitiae in caelestibus (aiōn )
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. (aiōn )

[Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: (aiōn )

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (aiōnios )
ipse autem Dominus noster Iesus Christus et Deus et Pater noster qui dilexit nos et dedit consolationem aeternam et spem bonam in gratia (aiōnios )
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, (aiōnios )
sed ideo misericordiam consecutus sum ut in me primo ostenderet Christus Iesus omnem patientiam ad deformationem eorum qui credituri sunt illi in vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios )
regi autem saeculorum inmortali invisibili soli Deo honor et gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios )

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (aiōn )

Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (aiōnios )
ideo omnia sustineo propter electos ut et ipsi salutem consequantur quae est in Christo Iesu cum gloria caelesti (aiōnios )
Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios )
Demas enim me dereliquit diligens hoc saeculum et abiit Thessalonicam Crescens in Galliam Titus in Dalmatiam (aiōn )
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. (aiōn )
liberabit me Dominus ab omni opere malo et salvum faciet in regnum suum caeleste cui gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (aiōnios )
erudiens nos ut abnegantes impietatem et saecularia desideria sobrie et iuste et pie vivamus in hoc saeculo (aiōn )
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (aiōn )
ut iustificati gratia ipsius heredes simus secundum spem vitae aeternae (aiōnios )
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios )
forsitan enim ideo discessit ad horam a te ut aeternum illum recipere (aiōnios )
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; (aiōnios )

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (aiōn )

But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. (aiōn )

As he saith also in another [place], Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios )

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (aiōn )

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )

For he testifieth, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )

(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec: ) (aiōn )

But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. (aiōn )

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, [maketh] the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. (aiōn )

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us]. (aiōnios )

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (aiōnios )
et ideo novi testamenti mediator est ut morte intercedente in redemptionem earum praevaricationum quae erant sub priore testamento repromissionem accipiant qui vocati sunt aeternae hereditatis (aiōnios )
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (aiōnios )
alioquin oportebat eum frequenter pati ab origine mundi nunc autem semel in consummatione saeculorum ad destitutionem peccati per hostiam suam apparuit (aiōn )
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn )

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (aiōn )

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
et lingua ignis est universitas iniquitatis lingua constituitur in membris nostris quae maculat totum corpus et inflammat rotam nativitatis nostrae inflammata a gehenna (Geenna )
And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. (Geenna )

If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )

crescite vero in gratia et in cognitione Domini nostri et salvatoris Iesu Christi ipsi gloria et nunc et in die aeternitatis amen (aiōn )
But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn )

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (aiōn )

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, [even] eternal life. (aiōnios )

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios )

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios )
et scimus quoniam Filius Dei venit et dedit nobis sensum ut cognoscamus verum Deum et simus in vero Filio eius hic est verus Deus et vita aeterna (aiōnios )
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (aiōnios )

For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. (aiōn )

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (aïdios )

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (aiōnios )
fluctus feri maris despumantes suas confusiones sidera errantia quibus procella tenebrarum in aeternum servata est (aiōn )
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (aiōn )

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (aiōnios )
soli Deo salvatori nostro per Iesum Christum Dominum nostrum gloria magnificentia imperium et potestas ante omne saeculum et nunc et in omnia saecula amen (aiōn )
To the only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (aiōn )

The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn )

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. (aiōn )

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos )
et aperuit puteum abyssi et ascendit fumus putei sicut fumus fornacis magnae et obscuratus est sol et aer de fumo putei (Abyssos )
And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
et habebant super se regem angelum abyssi cui nomen hebraice Abaddon graece autem Apollyon et latine habet nomen Exterminans (Abyssos )
And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [ his] name Apollyon. (Abyssos )
et iuravit per viventem in saecula saeculorum qui creavit caelum et ea quae in illo sunt et terram et ea quae in ea sunt et mare et quae in eo sunt quia tempus amplius non erit (aiōn )
And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: (aiōn )
et cum finierint testimonium suum bestia quae ascendit de abysso faciet adversus illos bellum et vincet eos et occidet illos (Abyssos )
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
et septimus angelus tuba cecinit et factae sunt voces magnae in caelo dicentes factum est regnum huius mundi Domini nostri et Christi eius et regnabit in saecula saeculorum (aiōn )
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (aiōn )
et vidi alterum angelum volantem per medium caelum habentem evangelium aeternum ut evangelizaret sedentibus super terram et super omnem gentem et tribum et linguam et populum (aiōnios )
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, (aiōnios )
et fumus tormentorum eorum in saecula saeculorum ascendit nec habent requiem die ac nocte qui adoraverunt bestiam et imaginem eius et si quis acceperit caracterem nominis eius (aiōn )
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (aiōn )
et unus ex quattuor animalibus dedit septem angelis septem fialas aureas plenas iracundiae Dei viventis in saecula saeculorum (aiōn )
And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. (aiōn )
bestiam quam vidisti fuit et non est et ascensura est de abysso et in interitum ibit et mirabuntur inhabitantes terram quorum non sunt scripta nomina in libro vitae a constitutione mundi videntes bestiam quia erat et non est (Abyssos )
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. et iterum dixerunt alleluia et fumus eius ascendit in saecula saeculorum (aiōn )
And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. (aiōn )
et adprehensa est bestia et cum illo pseudopropheta qui fecit signa coram ipso quibus seduxit eos qui acceperunt caracterem bestiae qui et adorant imaginem eius vivi missi sunt hii duo in stagnum ignis ardentis sulphure (Limnē Pyr )
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr )

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (Abyssos )
et diabolus qui seducebat eos missus est in stagnum ignis et sulphuris ubi et bestia et pseudoprophetes et cruciabuntur die ac nocte in saecula saeculorum (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
et dedit mare mortuos qui in eo erant et mors et inferus dederunt mortuos qui in ipsis erant et iudicatum est de singulis secundum opera ipsorum (Hadēs )
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (Hadēs )

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Limnē Pyr )
et nox ultra non erit et non egebunt lumine lucernae neque lumine solis quoniam Dominus Deus inluminat illos et regnabunt in saecula saeculorum (aiōn )
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. (aiōn )

hoc est pessimum inter omnia quae sub sole fiunt quia eadem cunctis eveniunt unde et corda filiorum hominum implentur malitia et contemptu in vita sua et post haec ad inferos deducentur ()
quem Deus suscitavit solutis doloribus inferni iuxta quod inpossibile erat teneri illum ab eo ()
