just as he spoke by the mouth of his holy Prophets, who are from ages past: (aiōn g165)
et rogabant illum ne imperaret illis ut in abyssum irent (Abyssos g12)
And they petitioned him not to order them to go into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
And as for you, Capernaum, who would be exalted even up to Heaven: you shall be submerged into Hell. (Hadēs g86)
et ecce quidam legis peritus surrexit temptans illum et dicens magister quid faciendo vitam aeternam possidebo (aiōnios g166)
And behold, a certain expert in the law rose up, testing him and saying, “Teacher, what must I do to possess eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
ostendam autem vobis quem timeatis timete eum qui postquam occiderit habet potestatem mittere in gehennam ita dico vobis hunc timete (Geenna g1067)
But I will reveal to you whom you should fear. Fear him who, after he will have killed, has the power to cast into Hell. So I say to you: Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
et laudavit dominus vilicum iniquitatis quia prudenter fecisset quia filii huius saeculi prudentiores filiis lucis in generatione sua sunt (aiōn g165)
And the lord praised the iniquitous steward, in that he had acted prudently. For the sons of this age are more prudent with their generation than are the sons of light.
And so I say to you, make friends for yourself using iniquitous mammon, so that, when you will have passed away, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles.
in Hell. Then lifting up his eyes, while he was in torments, he saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
et interrogavit eum quidam princeps dicens magister bone quid faciens vitam aeternam possidebo (aiōnios g166)
And a certain leader questioned him, saying: “Good teacher, what should I do to possess eternal life?”
who will not receive much more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.”
And so, Jesus said to them: “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage.
Yet truly, those who shall be held worthy of that age, and of the resurrection from the dead, will neither be married, nor take wives.
so that whoever believes in him may not perish, but may have eternal life.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that all who believe in him may not perish, but may have eternal life.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. But whoever is unbelieving toward the Son shall not see life; instead the wrath of God remains upon him.”
But whoever shall drink from the water that I will give to him will not thirst for eternity. Instead, the water that I will give to him will become in him a fountain of water, springing up into eternal life.”
For he who reaps, receives wages and gathers fruit unto eternal life, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
amen amen dico vobis quia qui verbum meum audit et credit ei qui misit me habet vitam aeternam et in iudicium non venit sed transit a morte in vitam (aiōnios g166)
Amen, amen, I say to you, that whoever hears my word, and believes in him who sent me, has eternal life, and he does not go into judgment, but instead he crosses from death into life.
Study the Scriptures. For you think that in them you have eternal life. And yet they also offer testimony about me.
Do not work for food that perishes, but for that which endures to eternal life, which the Son of man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”
So then, this is the will of my Father who sent me: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
amen amen dico vobis qui credit in me habet vitam aeternam (aiōnios g166)
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me has eternal life.
I am the living bread, who descended from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread, he shall live in eternity. And the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.”
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
This is the bread that descends from heaven. It is not like the manna that your fathers ate, for they died. Whoever eats this bread shall live forever.” (aiōn g165)
respondit ergo ei Simon Petrus Domine ad quem ibimus verba vitae aeternae habes (aiōnios g166)
Then Simon Peter answered him: “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Now the slave does not abide in the house for eternity. Yet the Son does abide in eternity. (aiōn g165)
amen amen dico vobis si quis sermonem meum servaverit mortem non videbit in aeternum (aiōn g165)
Amen, amen, I say to you, if anyone will have kept my word, he will not see death for eternity.”
Therefore, the Jews said: “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham is dead, and the Prophets; and yet you say, ‘If anyone will have kept my word, he shall not taste death for eternity.’ (aiōn g165)
a saeculo non est auditum quia aperuit quis oculos caeci nati (aiōn g165)
From ancient times, it has not been heard that anyone has opened the eyes of someone born blind.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall not perish, for eternity. And no one shall seize them from my hand.
And everyone who lives and believes in me shall not die for eternity. Do you believe this?”
Whoever loves his life, will lose it. And whoever hates his life in this world, preserves it unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
respondit ei turba nos audivimus ex lege quia Christus manet in aeternum et quomodo tu dicis oportet exaltari Filium hominis quis est iste Filius hominis (aiōn g165)
The crowd answered him: “We have heard, from the law, that the Christ remains forever. And so how can you say, ‘The Son of man must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of man?”
And I know that his commandment is eternal life. Therefore, the things that I speak, just as the Father has said to me, so also do I speak.”
Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you will have no place with me.”
And I will ask the Father, and he will give another Advocate to you, so that he may abide with you for eternity: (aiōn g165)
sicut dedisti ei potestatem omnis carnis ut omne quod dedisti ei det eis vitam aeternam (aiōnios g166)
just as you have given authority over all flesh to him, so that he may give eternal life to all those whom you have given to him.
And this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (aiōnios g166)
quoniam non derelinques animam meam in inferno neque dabis Sanctum tuum videre corruptionem (Hadēs g86)
For you will not abandon my soul to Hell, nor will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.
Foreseeing this, he was speaking about the Resurrection of the Christ. For he was neither left behind in Hell, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
quem oportet caelum quidem suscipere usque in tempora restitutionis omnium quae locutus est Deus per os sanctorum suorum a saeculo prophetarum (aiōn g165)
whom heaven certainly must take up, until the time of the restoration of all things, which God has spoken of by the mouth of his holy prophets, from ages past. (aiōn g165)
tunc constanter Paulus et Barnabas dixerunt vobis oportebat primum loqui verbum Dei sed quoniam repellitis illud et indignos vos iudicastis aeternae vitae ecce convertimur ad gentes (aiōnios g166)
Then Paul and Barnabas said firmly: “It was necessary to speak the Word of God first to you. But because you reject it, and so judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.
Then the Gentiles, upon hearing this, were gladdened, and they were glorifying the Word of the Lord. And as many as believed were preordained to eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
notum a saeculo est Domino opus suum (aiōn g165)
To the Lord, his own work has been known from eternity.
For unseen things about him have been made conspicuous, since the creation of the world, being understood by the things that were made; likewise his everlasting virtue and divinity, so much so that they have no excuse.
And they exchanged the truth of God for a lie. And they worshipped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is blessed for all eternity. Amen.
To those who, in accord with patient good works, seek glory and honor and incorruption, certainly, he will render eternal life.
So then, just as sin has reigned unto death, so also may grace reign through justice unto eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
nunc vero liberati a peccato servi autem facti Deo habetis fructum vestrum in sanctificationem finem vero vitam aeternam (aiōnios g166)
Yet truly, having been freed now from sin, and having been made servants of God, you hold your fruit in sanctification, and truly its end is eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
stipendia enim peccati mors gratia autem Dei vita aeterna in Christo Iesu Domino nostro (aiōnios g166)
For the wages of sin is death. But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Theirs are the fathers, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is over all things, blessed God, for all eternity. Amen.
“Or who shall descend into the abyss?” (that is, to call back Christ from the dead). (Abyssos g12)
For God has enclosed everyone in unbelief, so that he may have mercy on everyone.
For from him, and through him, and in him are all things. To him is glory, for all eternity. Amen.
And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.
But to him who is able to confirm you according to my Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, in accord with the revelation of the mystery which has been hidden from time immemorial, (aiōnios g166)
(which now has been made clear through the Scriptures of the Prophets, in accord with the precept of the eternal God, unto the obedience of faith) which has been made known among all the Gentiles: (aiōnios g166)
to God, who alone is wise, through Jesus Christ, to him be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
ubi sapiens ubi scriba ubi conquisitor huius saeculi nonne stultam fecit Deus sapientiam huius mundi (aiōn g165)
Where are the wise? Where are the scribes? Where are the truth-seekers of this age? Has not God made the wisdom of this world into foolishness?
Now, we do speak wisdom among the perfect, yet truly, this is not the wisdom of this age, nor that of the leaders of this age, which shall be reduced to nothing.
Instead, we speak of the wisdom of God in a mystery which has been hidden, which God predestined before this age for our glory, (aiōn g165)
something that none of the leaders of this world have known. For if they had known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may be truly wise. (aiōn g165)
quapropter si esca scandalizat fratrem meum non manducabo carnem in aeternum ne fratrem meum scandalizem (aiōn g165)
Because of this, if food leads my brother to sin, I will never eat meat, lest I lead my brother to sin.
Now all of these things happened to them as an example, and so they have been written for our correction, because the final age has fallen upon us. (aiōn g165)
ubi est mors victoria tua ubi est mors stimulus tuus (Hadēs g86)
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
As for them, the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, would not shine in them.
For though our tribulation is, at the present time, brief and light, it accomplishes in us the weight of a sublime eternal glory, beyond measure.
And we are contemplating, not the things that are seen, but the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporal, whereas the things that are not seen are eternal.
For we know that, when our earthly house of this habitation is dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in heaven.
just as it was written: “He has distributed widely, he has given to the poor; his justice remains from age to age.”
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.
who gave himself on behalf of our sins, so that he might deliver us from this present wicked age, according to the will of God our Father. (aiōn g165)
cui est gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn g165)
To him is glory forever and ever. Amen.
For whoever sows in his flesh, from the flesh he shall also reap corruption. But whoever sows in the Spirit, from the Spirit he shall reap eternal life.
above every principality and power and virtue and dominion, and above every name that is given, not only in this age, but even in the future age. (aiōn g165)
in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum saeculum mundi huius secundum principem potestatis aeris huius spiritus qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiae (aiōn g165)
in which you walked in times past, according to the age of this world, according to the prince of the power of this sky, the spirit who now works in the sons of distrust. (aiōn g165)
ut ostenderet in saeculis supervenientibus abundantes divitias gratiae suae in bonitate super nos in Christo Iesu (aiōn g165)
so that he may display, in the ages soon to arrive, the abundant wealth of his grace, by his goodness toward us in Christ Jesus.
and to enlighten everyone concerning the dispensation of the mystery, hidden before the ages in God who created all things, (aiōn g165)
secundum praefinitionem saeculorum quam fecit in Christo Iesu Domino nostro (aiōn g165)
according to that timeless purpose, which he has formed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn g165)
ipsi gloria in ecclesia et in Christo Iesu in omnes generationes saeculi saeculorum amen (aiōn g165)
to him be glory, in the Church and in Christ Jesus, throughout every generation, forever and ever. Amen.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the directors of this world of darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in high places.
And to God our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
the mystery which had remained hidden to past ages and generations, but which now is manifested to his saints. (aiōn g165)
qui poenas dabunt in interitu aeternas a facie Domini et a gloria virtutis eius (aiōnios g166)
These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue, (aiōnios g166)
So may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who has loved us and who has given us an everlasting consolation and good hope in grace, (aiōnios g166)
But it was for this reason that I obtained mercy, so that in me as first, Christ Jesus would display all patience, for the instruction of those who would believe in him unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
regi autem saeculorum inmortali invisibili soli Deo honor et gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn g165)
So then, to the King of ages, to the immortal, invisible, solitary God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
certa bonum certamen fidei adprehende vitam aeternam in qua vocatus es et confessus bonam confessionem coram multis testibus (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you have been called, and make a good profession of faith in the sight of many witnesses.
who alone holds immortality, and who inhabits the inaccessible light, whom no man has seen, nor even is able to see, to whom is honor and everlasting dominion. Amen.
Instruct the wealthy of this age not to have a superior attitude, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who offers us everything in abundance to enjoy, (aiōn g165)
who has freed us and has called us to his holy vocation, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the ages of time.
I endure all things for this reason: for the sake of the elect, so that they, too, may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory.
For Demas has abandoned me, out of love for this age, and he has departed for Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia; Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
liberabit me Dominus ab omni opere malo et salvum faciet in regnum suum caeleste cui gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn g165)
The Lord has freed me from every evil work, and he will accomplish salvation by his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
in the hope of the eternal life that God, who does not lie, promised before the ages of time, (aiōnios g166)
instructing us to reject impiety and worldly desires, so that we may live soberly and justly and piously in this age, (aiōn g165)
ut iustificati gratia ipsius heredes simus secundum spem vitae aeternae (aiōnios g166)
so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
So perhaps, then, he departed from you for a time, so that you might receive him again for eternity, (aiōnios g166)
lastly, in these days, he has spoken to us through the Son, whom he appointed as the heir of all things, and through whom he made the world.
But about the Son: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of equity. (aiōn g165)
quemadmodum et in alio dicit tu es sacerdos in aeternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech (aiōn g165)
And similarly, he says in another place: “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”
And having reached his consummation, he was made, for all who are obedient to him, the cause of eternal salvation, (aiōnios g166)

gustaverunt nihilominus bonum Dei verbum virtutesque saeculi venturi (aiōn g165)
who, despite having tasted the good Word of God and the virtues of the future age, (aiōn g165)
ubi praecursor pro nobis introiit Iesus secundum ordinem Melchisedech pontifex factus in aeternum (aiōn g165)
to the place where the forerunner Jesus has entered on our behalf, so as to become the High Priest for eternity, according to the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
contestatur enim quoniam tu es sacerdos in aeternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech (aiōn g165)
For he testifies: “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”
But this man was made a priest with an oath, by the One who said to him: “The Lord has sworn and he will not repent. You are a priest forever.”

For the law appoints men as priests, though they have infirmities. But, by the word of the oath that is after the law, the Son has been perfected for eternity.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the Holy Spirit has offered himself, immaculate, to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, in order to serve the living God?

Otherwise, he would need to have suffered repeatedly since the beginning of the world. But now, one time, at the consummation of the ages, he has appeared in order to destroy sin though his own sacrifice.

equip you with all goodness, so that you may do his will. May he accomplish in you whatever is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom is glory forever and ever. Amen.
And so the tongue is like a fire, comprising all iniquity. The tongue, stationed in the midst of our body, can defile the entire body and inflame the wheel of our nativity, setting a fire from Hell. (Geenna g1067)

But the Word of the Lord endures for eternity. And this is the Word that has been evangelized to you.

But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will himself perfect, confirm, and establish us, after a brief time of suffering. (aiōnios g166)
ipsi imperium in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn g165)
To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
sic enim abundanter ministrabitur vobis introitus in aeternum regnum Domini nostri et salvatoris Iesu Christi (aiōnios g166)
For in this way, you shall be provided abundantly with an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
For God did not spare those Angels who sinned, but instead delivered them, as if dragged down by infernal ropes, into the torments of the underworld, to be reserved unto judgment. (Tartaroō g5020)
crescite vero in gratia et in cognitione Domini nostri et salvatoris Iesu Christi ipsi gloria et nunc et in die aeternitatis amen (aiōn g165)
Yet truly, increase in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory, both now and in the day of eternity. Amen.
And that Life has been made manifest. And we have seen, and we testify, and we announce to you: the Eternal Life, who was with the Father, and who appeared to us.
And the world is passing away, with its desire. But whoever does the will of God abides unto eternity.
And this is the Promise, which he himself has promised to us: Eternal Life.
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within him.
And this is the testimony which God has given to us: Eternal Life. And this Life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
