< Job 24 >

1 ab Omnipotente non sunt abscondita tempora qui autem noverunt eum ignorant dies illius
Why? from [the] Almighty not have they been stored up times (and [those who] know him *Q(K)*) not have they seen? days his.
2 alii terminos transtulerunt diripuerunt greges et paverunt eos
Boundaries people reach flock[s] they seize and they have pastured [them].
3 asinum pupillorum abigerunt et abstulerunt pro pignore bovem viduae
[the] donkey of Fatherless ones they drive away they take as pledge [the] ox of a widow.
4 subverterunt pauperum viam et oppresserunt pariter mansuetos terrae
They thrust aside needy [people] from [the] path together they are made to hide themselves [the] poor [people] of [the] earth.
5 alii quasi onagri in deserto egrediuntur ad opus suum vigilantesque ad praedam praeparant panem liberis
There! wild donkeys - in the wilderness they go forth in work their seeking for food a desert plain to it food for the children.
6 agrum non suum demetunt et vineam eius quem vi oppresserunt vindemiant
In the field fodder its (they harvest *Q(K)*) and [the] vineyard of [the] wicked they glean.
7 nudos dimittunt homines indumenta tollentes quibus non est operimentum in frigore
Naked they spend [the] night because not clothing and there not [is] covering in the coldness.
8 quos imbres montium rigant et non habentes velamen amplexantur lapides
From [the] rain of [the] mountains they are wet and because not shelter they embrace [the] rock.
9 vim fecerunt depraedantes pupillos et vulgum pauperem spoliaverunt
People tear away from [the] breast a fatherless one and on [the] poor they take pledges.
10 nudis et incedentibus absque vestitu et esurientibus tulerunt spicas
Naked they go about not clothing and hungry they carry a sheaf.
11 inter acervos eorum meridiati sunt qui calcatis torcularibus sitiunt
Between rows their they press out oil wine-presses they tread and they were thirsty.
12 de civitatibus fecerunt viros gemere et anima vulneratorum clamavit et Deus inultum abire non patitur
From [the] city men - they groan and [the] throat of [those] fatally wounded it cries for help and God not he puts offensiveness.
13 ipsi fuerunt rebelles luminis nescierunt vias eius nec reversi sunt per semitas illius
They - they are among [those who] rebel against [the] light not they pay regard to ways its and not they dwell in paths its.
14 mane primo consurgit homicida interficit egenum et pauperem per noctem vero erit quasi fur
To the light he rises a murderer he kills [the] poor and [the] needy and in the night he is like thief.
15 oculus adulteri observat caliginem dicens non me videbit oculus et operiet vultum suum
And [the] eye of an adulterer - it watches for twilight saying not it will observe me an eye and covering of face he puts.
16 perfodit in tenebris domos sicut in die condixerant sibi et ignoraverunt lucem
He digs into in darkness houses by day they seal up for themselves not they know light.
17 si subito apparuerit aurora arbitrantur umbram mortis et sic in tenebris quasi in luce ambulant
For together - [is] morning for them deep darkness for he is acquainted with [the] terrors of deep darkness.
18 levis est super faciem aquae maledicta sit pars eius in terra nec ambulet per viam vinearum
[is] swift He - on [the] surface of [the] waters it is cursed portion their in the land not anyone turns [the] direction of vineyards.
19 ad nimium calorem transeat ab aquis nivium et usque ad inferos peccatum illius (Sheol h7585)
Drought also heat they snatch away [the] waters of snow Sheol [those who] they have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
20 obliviscatur eius misericordia dulcedo illius vermes non sit in recordatione sed conteratur quasi lignum infructuosum
It forgets him [the] womb - it sucks on him maggot[s] again not he is remembered and it was broken like tree injustice.
21 pavit enim sterilem et quae non parit et viduae bene non fecit
[he] feeds on A barren [woman] [who] not she gives birth and a widow not he does good to.
22 detraxit fortes in fortitudine sua et cum steterit non credet vitae suae
And he drags off mighty [ones] by power his he rises and not anyone trusts in life.
23 dedit ei Deus locum paenitentiae et ille abutitur eo in superbiam oculi autem eius sunt in viis illius
He gives to him to security so he may support himself and eyes his [are] on ways their.
24 elevati sunt ad modicum et non subsistent et humiliabuntur sicut omnia et auferentur et sicut summitates spicarum conterentur
They are exalted a little - and there not [is] he and they are brought low like everyone they are contracted! and like a head of grain they wither.
25 quod si non est ita quis me potest arguere esse mentitum et ponere ante Deum verba mea
And if not then who? will he prove a liar me and will he make? into nothing speech my.
