< Isaiæ 46 >

1 conflatus est Bel contritus est Nabo facta sunt simulacra eorum bestiis et iumentis onera vestra gravi pondere usque ad lassitudinem
He has bowed down Bel [is] stooping low Nebo they belong idols their to the animal[s] and to the cattle burdens your [are] carried a load for a weary [animal].
2 contabuerunt et contrita sunt simul non potuerunt salvare portantem et anima eorum in captivitatem ibit
They have stooped low they have bowed down together not they have been able to rescue a burden and self their in captivity it has gone.
3 audite me domus Iacob et omne residuum domus Israhel qui portamini a meo utero qui gestamini a mea vulva
Listen to me O house of Jacob and all [the] remnant of [the] house of Israel who have been carried from [the] belly who have been borne from [the] womb.
4 usque ad senectam ego ipse et usque ad canos ego portabo ego feci et ego feram et ego portabo et salvabo
And until old age I [am] he and until gray hair I I will carry I I made and I I will bear and I I will carry and I may rescue.
5 cui adsimilastis me et adaequastis et conparastis me et fecistis similem
To whom? will you liken me and you may make [me] equal? and will you compare? me and we may be alike.
6 qui confertis aurum de sacculo et argentum statera ponderatis conducentes aurificem ut faciat deum et procidunt et adorant
Those [who] pour out gold from a bag and silver on scale[s] they weigh out they hire a metalsmith and he makes it a god they prostrate themselves also they bow down.
7 portant illud in umeris gestantes et ponentes in loco suo et stabit ac de loco suo non movebitur sed et cum clamaverint ad eum non audiet de tribulatione non salvabit eos
They lift up it on a shoulder they carry it and they set down it in place its so it may stand from place its not it departs also he cries out to it and not it answers from trouble his not it delivers him.
8 mementote istud et fundamini redite praevaricatores ad cor
Remember this and pluck up courage bring [it] back O rebels on heart.
9 recordamini prioris saeculi quoniam ego sum Deus et non est ultra Deus nec est similis mei
Remember former [things] from long ago for I [am] God and there not [is] yet God and there not [is] like me.
10 adnuntians ab exordio novissimum et ab initio quae necdum facta sunt dicens consilium meum stabit et omnis voluntas mea fiet
[one who] declares From [the] beginning [the] end and from antiquity [things] which not they have been done [one who] says purpose my it will be fulfilled and all desire my I will accomplish.
11 vocans ab oriente avem et de terra longinqua virum voluntatis meae et locutus sum et adducam illud creavi et faciam illud
[one who] calls From [the] east a bird of prey from a land of distance a man of (purpose my *Q(K)*) also I have spoken also I will bring it I have planned also I will accomplish it.
12 audite me duro corde qui longe estis a iustitia
Listen to me O [people] mighty of heart O [people] distant from righteousness.
13 prope feci iustitiam meam non elongabitur et salus mea non morabitur dabo in Sion salutem et Israheli gloriam meam
I have brought near righteousness my not it is far away and salvation my not it will delay and I will give in Zion salvation to Israel splendor my.
