1 et coepit Salomon aedificare domum Domini in Hierusalem in monte Moria qui demonstratus fuerat David patri eius in loco quem paraverat David in area Ornan Iebusei
And Salomon bigan to bilde the hows of the Lord in Jerusalem, in the hil of Moria, that was schewid to Dauid, his fadir, in the place which Dauid hadde maad redi in the corn floor of Ornam Jebusei.
2 coepit autem aedificare mense secundo anno quarto regni sui
Forsothe he bigan to bilde in the secounde monethe, in the fourthe yeer of his rewme.
3 et haec sunt fundamenta quae iecit Salomon ut aedificaret domum Dei longitudinis cubitos in mensura prima sexaginta latitudinis cubitos viginti
And these weren the foundementis, whiche Salomon settide, that he schulde bilde the hous of God; sixti cubitis of lengthe in the firste mesure, twenti cubitis of breede.
4 porticum vero ante frontem quae tendebatur in longum iuxta mensuram latitudinis domus cubitorum viginti porro altitudo centum viginti cubitorum erat et deauravit eam intrinsecus auro mundissimo

7 porro aurum erat probatissimum de cuius lamminis texit domum et trabes eius et postes et parietes et ostia et celavit cherubin in parietibus

8 fecit quoque domum sancti sanctorum longitudinem iuxta latitudinem domus cubitorum viginti et latitudinem similiter viginti cubitorum et lamminis aureis texit eam quasi talentis sescentis

10 fecit etiam in domo sancti sanctorum cherubin duo opere statuario et texit eos auro

11 alae cherubin viginti cubitis extendebantur ita ut una ala haberet cubitos quinque et tangeret parietem domus et altera quinque cubitos habens alam tangeret alterius cherub

12 similiter cherub alterius ala quinque habebat cubitos et tangebat parietem et ala eius altera quinque cubitorum alam cherub alterius contingebat
In lijk maner the wynge of the tother cherub hadde fyue cubitis, and touchide the wal, and the tother wynge therof of fyue cubitis touchide the wynge of the tothir cherub.
13 igitur alae utriusque cherubin expansae erant et extendebantur per cubitos viginti ipsi autem stabant erectis pedibus et facies eorum versae erant ad exteriorem domum
Therfor the wyngis of euer eithir cherub weren spred abrood, and weren holdun forth bi twenti cubitis; sotheli thilke cherubyns stoden on the feet reisid, and her faces weren turned to the outermere hows.
14 fecit quoque velum ex hyacintho purpura coccino et bysso et intexuit ei cherubin

16 necnon et quasi catenulas in oraculo et superposuit eas capitibus columnarum malagranata etiam centum quae catenulis interposuit
Also he made and as litle chaynes in Goddis answeryng place, and puttide tho on the heedis of the pilers; also he made an hundrid pumgarnadis, whiche he settide bitwixe the litle chaynes.
17 ipsas quoque columnas posuit in vestibulo templi unam a dextris et alteram a sinistris eam quae a dextris erat vocavit Iachin et quae ad levam Booz
And he settide tho pilers in the porche of the temple, oon at the riytside, and the tother at the leftside; he clepide that that was at the riytside Jachym, and that that was at the leftside he clepide Booz.
