< Corinthios I 3 >

1 et ego fratres non potui vobis loqui quasi spiritalibus sed quasi carnalibus tamquam parvulis in Christo
And I could not speake vnto you, brethren, as vnto spirituall men, but as vnto carnall, euen as vnto babes in Christ.
2 lac vobis potum dedi non escam nondum enim poteratis sed ne nunc quidem potestis adhuc enim estis carnales
I gaue you milke to drinke, and not meat: for yee were not yet able to beare it, neither yet nowe are yee able.
3 cum enim sit inter vos zelus et contentio nonne carnales estis et secundum hominem ambulatis
For yee are yet carnall: for whereas there is among you enuying, and strife, and diuisions, are ye not carnall, and walke as men?
4 cum enim quis dicit ego quidem sum Pauli alius autem ego Apollo nonne homines estis quid igitur est Apollo quid vero Paulus
For when one sayeth, I am Pauls, and another, I am Apollos, are yee not carnall?
5 ministri eius cui credidistis et unicuique sicut Dominus dedit
Who is Paul then? and who is Apollos, but the ministers by whome yee beleeued, and as the Lord gaue to euery man?
6 ego plantavi Apollo rigavit sed Deus incrementum dedit
I haue planted, Apollos watred, but God gaue the increase.
7 itaque neque qui plantat est aliquid neque qui rigat sed qui incrementum dat Deus
So then, neither is hee that planteth any thing, neither hee that watreth, but God that giueth the increase.
8 qui plantat autem et qui rigat unum sunt unusquisque autem propriam mercedem accipiet secundum suum laborem
And he that planteth, and he that watreth, are one, and euery man shall receiue his wages, according to his labour.
9 Dei enim sumus adiutores Dei agricultura estis Dei aedificatio estis
For we together are Gods labourers: yee are Gods husbandrie, and Gods building.
10 secundum gratiam Dei quae data est mihi ut sapiens architectus fundamentum posui alius autem superaedificat unusquisque autem videat quomodo superaedificet
According to the grace of God giuen to mee, as a skilfull master builder, I haue laide the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let euery man take heede how he buildeth vpon it.
11 fundamentum enim aliud nemo potest ponere praeter id quod positum est qui est Christus Iesus
For other foundation can no man laie, then that which is laied, which is Iesus Christ.
12 si quis autem superaedificat supra fundamentum hoc aurum argentum lapides pretiosos ligna faenum stipulam
And if any man builde on this foundation, golde, siluer, precious stones, timber, haye, or stubble,
13 uniuscuiusque opus manifestum erit dies enim declarabit quia in igne revelabitur et uniuscuiusque opus quale sit ignis probabit
Euery mans worke shalbe made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shalbe reueiled by the fire: and the fire shall trie euery mans worke of what sort it is.
14 si cuius opus manserit quod superaedificavit mercedem accipiet
If any mans worke, that he hath built vpon, abide, he shall receiue wages.
15 si cuius opus arserit detrimentum patietur ipse autem salvus erit sic tamen quasi per ignem
If any mans worke burne, he shall lose, but he shalbe saued himselfe: neuerthelesse yet as it were by the fire.
16 nescitis quia templum Dei estis et Spiritus Dei habitat in vobis
Knowe ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 si quis autem templum Dei violaverit disperdet illum Deus templum enim Dei sanctum est quod estis vos
If any man destroy the Temple of God, him shall God destroy: for the Temple of God is holy, which ye are.
18 nemo se seducat si quis videtur inter vos sapiens esse in hoc saeculo stultus fiat ut sit sapiens (aiōn g165)
Let no man deceiue himselfe: If any man among you seeme to be wise in this world, let him be a foole, that he may be wise. (aiōn g165)
19 sapientia enim huius mundi stultitia est apud Deum scriptum est enim conprehendam sapientes in astutia eorum
For the wisdome of this worlde is foolishnesse with God: for it is written, He catcheth the wise in their owne craftinesse.
20 et iterum Dominus novit cogitationes sapientium quoniam vanae sunt
And againe, The Lord knoweth that the thoughtes of the wise be vaine.
21 itaque nemo glorietur in hominibus omnia enim vestra sunt
Therefore let no man reioyce in men: for all things are yours.
22 sive Paulus sive Apollo sive Cephas sive mundus sive vita sive mors sive praesentia sive futura omnia enim vestra sunt
Whether it be Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death: whether they be things present, or thinges to come, euen all are yours,
23 vos autem Christi Christus autem Dei
And ye Christes, and Christ Gods.
