1 Psalmus Cantici David, in finem, In hymnis. Deus misereatur nostri, et benedicat nobis: illuminet vultum suum super nos, et misereatur nostri.
To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm: a Song. God be gracious unto us, and bless us, [and] cause his face to shine upon us; (Selah)
2 Ut cognoscamus in terra viam tuam: in omnibus gentibus salutare tuum.
That thy way may be known upon earth, thy salvation among all nations.
3 Confiteantur tibi populi Deus: confiteantur tibi populi omnes.
Let the peoples praise thee, O God, let all the peoples praise thee.
4 Laetentur et exultent gentes: quoniam iudicas populos in aequitate, et gentes in terra dirigis.
Let the nations rejoice and sing for joy: for thou wilt judge the peoples equitably; and the nations upon earth, thou wilt guide them. (Selah)
5 Confiteantur tibi populi Deus: confiteantur tibi populi omnes.
Let the peoples praise thee, O God; let all the peoples praise thee.
6 terra dedit fructum suum. Benedicat nos Deus, Deus noster,
The earth will yield her increase; God, our God, will bless us:
7 benedicat nos Deus: et metuant eum omnes fines terrae.
God will bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
