Psalmorum 65
1 Psalmus David, in finem. Canticum Hieremiae, et Ezechielis ex populo transmigrationis, cum inciperent exire. Te decet hymnus Deus in Sion: et tibi reddetur votum in Ierusalem.
For the end, a Psalm [and] Song of David. Praise becomes you, O God, in Sion; and to you shall the vow be performed.
2 Exaudi orationem meam: ad te omnis caro veniet.
Hear my prayer; to you all flesh shall come.
3 Verba iniquorum praevaluerunt super nos: et impietatibus nostris tu propitiaberis.
The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but do you pardon our sins.
4 Beatus, quem elegisti, et assumpsisti: inhabitabit in atriis tuis. Replebimur in bonis domus tuae: sanctum est templum tuum,
Blessed [is he] whom you have chosen and adopted; he shall dwell in your courts; we shall be filled with the good things of your house; your temple is holy.
5 mirabile in aequitate. Exaudi nos Deus salutaris noster, spes omnium finium terrae, et in mari longe.
[You are] wonderful in righteousness. Listen to us, O God our Saviour; the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them [that are] on the sea afar off:
6 Praeparans montes in virtute tua, accinctus potentia:
who do establish the mountains in your strength, being girded about with power;
7 qui conturbas profundum maris sonum fluctuum eius. Turbabuntur gentes,
who trouble the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves.
8 et timebunt qui habitant terminos a signis tuis: exitus matutini et vespere delectabis.
The nations shall be troubled, and they that inhabit the ends [of the earth] shall be afraid of your signs; you will cause the outgoings of morning and evening to rejoice.
9 Visitasti terram et inebriasti eam: multiplicasti locupletare eam. Flumen Dei repletum est aquis, parasti cibum illorum: quoniam ita est praeparatio eius.
You have visited the earth, and saturated it; you have abundantly enriched it. The river of God is filled with water; you have prepared their food, for thus is the preparation [of it].
10 Rivos eius inebria, multiplica genimina eius: in stillicidiis eius laetabitur germinans.
Saturate her furrows, multiply her fruits; [the crop] springing up shall rejoice in its drops.
11 Benedices coronae anni benignitatis tuae: et campi tui replebuntur ubertate.
You will bless the crown of the year [because] of your goodness; and your plains shall be filled with fatness.
12 Pinguescent speciosa deserti: et exultatione colles accingentur.
The mountains of the wilderness shall be enriched; and the hills shall gird themselves with joy.
13 Induti sunt arietes ovium, et valles abundabunt frumento: clamabunt, etenim hymnum dicent.
The rams of the flock are clothed [with wool], and the valleys shall abound in corn; they shall cry aloud, yes they shall sing hymns.
