Job 23

1 Respondens autem Iob, ait:

Lè sa a, Jòb pran lapawòl, li di konsa:

2 Nunc quoque in amaritudine est sermo meus, et manus plagae meae aggravata est super gemitum meum.

-Fwa sa a ankò, m'ap kenbe tèt ak Bondye, m'ap plenyen nan pye l'. Se plenn m'ap plenn pou sa m'ap pase anba men l'.

3 Quis mihi tribuat ut cognoscam et inveniam illum, et veniam usque ad solium eius?

Si m' te ka konnen kote pou m' jwenn li, mwen ta rive kote l' ye a.

4 Ponam coram eo iudicium, et os meum replebo increpationibus.

M' ta defann kòz mwen devan li. M' ta di l' dènye sa ki nan lide m' pou defann tèt mwen.

5 Ut sciam verba, quae mihi respondeat, et intelligam quid loquatur mihi.

M' ta konnen jan l'ap reponn mwen, m' ta tande sa l'ap di m'.

6 Nolo multa fortitudine contendat mecum, nec magnitudinis suae mole me premat.

Eske Bondye tapral sèvi ak tout fòs li pou diskite avè m'? Non. Li ta rete koute m' ase.

7 Proponat aequitatem contra me, et perveniet ad victoriam iudicium meum.

Li ta wè moun k'ap pale avè l' la se yon moun ki toujou mache dwat. Li menm k'ap jije m' lan, li ta rekonèt mwen inonsan.

8 Si ad Orientem iero, non apparet: si ad Occidentem, non intelligam eum.

M' ale bò solèy leve, Bondye pa la. M' ale bò solèy kouche, mwen pa wè l' tou.

9 Si ad sinistram, quid agam? non apprehendam eum: si me vertam ad dexteram, non videbo illum.

Mwen moute nan nò al chache l', m' pa wè l'. Mwen desann nan sid, bichi!

10 Ipse vero scit viam meam, et probavit me quasi aurum, quod per ignem transit:

Men, Bondye konnen tout ti vire tounen mwen. Si li sonde m', l'a wè m' bon tankou bon lò ki pase nan dife.

11 Vestigia eius secutus est pes meus, viam eius custodivi, et non declinavi ex ea.

M' mache pye pou pye dèyè l'. M' swiv chemen li mete devan m' lan. M' pa janm devire ni adwat ni agoch.

12 A mandatis labiorum eius non recessi, et in sinu meo abscondi verba oris eius.

Mwen toujou fè tou sa li bay lòd fè. Mwen te fè volonte l', mwen pa fè sa m' te gen nan tèt mwen.

13 Ipse enim solus est, et nemo avertere potest cogitationem eius: et anima eius quodcumque voluit, hoc fecit.

Men, lè Bondye fin deside yon bagay, ki moun ki ka fè l' chanje lide? Ki moun ki ka enpoze l' fè sa li vle fè a?

14 Cum expleverit in me voluntatem suam, et alia multa similia praesto sunt ei.

L'ap toujou fè m' sa li vle fè m' lan. Sa se yonn nan tout bagay li deside fè yo.

15 Et idcirco a facie eius turbatus sum, et considerans eum, timore solicitor.

Se poutèt sa, m'ap tranble devan l'. Lè m' chonje sa, mwen soti pè l'.

16 Deus mollivit cor meum, et Omnipotens conturbavit me.

Men wi, se Bondye k'ap kraze kouraj mwen. Se Bondye menm mwen soti pè. Se pa fènwa a.

17 Non enim perii propter imminentes tenebras, nec faciem meam operuit caligo.

Fènwa a kache Bondye pou m' pa wè l'. L' enpoze m' santi prezans li. Se tout!
