< Deuteronomii 16 >

1 Observa mensem novarum frugum, et verni primum temporis, ut facias Phase Domino Deo tuo: quoniam in isto mense eduxit te Dominus Deus tuus de Aegypto nocte.
Observe the month Abib, and keep the passover to the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth from Egypt by night.
Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover to the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
3 Non comedes in eo panem fermentatum: Septem diebus comedes absque fermento, afflictionis panem, quoniam in pavore egressus es de Aegypto: ut memineris diei egressionis tuae de Aegypto, omnibus diebus vitae tuae.
Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread with it, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth from the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth from the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy land seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou didst sacrifice the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning.
5 Non poteris immolare Phase in qualibet urbium tuarum, quas Dominus Deus tuus daturus est tibi;
Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee:
6 sed in loco, quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus, ut habitet nomen eius ibi: immolabis Phase vespere ad solis occasum, quando egressus es de Aegypto.
But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at evening, at the setting of the sun, at the time of thy departure from Egypt.
7 Et coques, et comedes in loco, quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus, maneque consurgens vades in tabernacula tua.
And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt return in the morning, and go to thy tents.
Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt do no work.
9 Septem hebdomadas numerabis tibi ab ea die qua falcem in segetem miseris.
Seven weeks shalt thou number to thee: begin to number the seven weeks from the time when thou beginnest to put the sickle to the grain.
10 et celebraris diem festum hebdomadarum Domino Deo tuo, oblationem spontaneam manus tuae, quam offeres iuxta benedictionem Domini Dei tui:
And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks to the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thy hand, which thou shalt give to the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
11 et epulaberis coram Domino Deo tuo, tu, filius tuus, et filia tua, servus tuus, et ancilla tua, et Levites qui est intra portas tuas, advena ac pupillus et vidua, qui morantur vobiscum: in loco quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus, ut habitet nomen eius ibi:
And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy male, and female servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a slave in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.
Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy grain and thy wine:
14 et epulaberis in festivitate tua, tu, filius tuus, et filia, servus tuus et ancilla, Levites quoque et advena, pupillus et vidua qui intra portas tuas sunt.
And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy male servant, and thy female servant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
15 Septem diebus Domino Deo tuo festa celebrabis in loco quem elegerit Dominus: benedicetque tibi Dominus Deus tuus in cunctis frugibus tuis, et in omni opere manuum tuarum, erisque in laetitia.
Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast to the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy increase, and in all the works of thy hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
16 Tribus vicibus per annum apparebit omne masculinum tuum in conspectu Domini Dei tui in loco quem elegerit: in sollemnitate azymorum, in sollemnitate hebdomadarum, et in sollemnitate tabernaculorum. Non apparebit ante Dominum vacuus:
Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:
17 sed offeret unusquisque secundum quod habuerit iuxta benedictionem Domini Dei sui, quam dederit ei.
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.
18 Iudices et magistros constitues in omnibus portis tuis, quas Dominus Deus tuus dederit tibi, per singulas tribus tuas: ut iudicent populum iusto iudicio,
Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
Thou shalt not pervert judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a bribe: for a bribe doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near to the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make for thee.
Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.
