1 Porro filii Issachar: Thola, et Phua, Iasub, et Simeron, quattuor.
And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four.
2 Filii Thola: Ozi et Raphaia, et Ieriel, et Iemai, et Iebsem, et Samuel, principes per domos cognationum suarum. De stirpe Thola viri fortissimi numerati sunt in diebus David, viginti duo millia sexcenti.
And sons of Tola: Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of the house of their fathers, [even] of Tola, mighty men of valor in their generations; their number in the days of David [is] twenty-two thousand and six hundred.
3 Filii Ozi: Izrahia, de quo nati sunt Michael, et Obadia, et Ioel, et Iesia, quinque omnes principes.
And sons of Uzzi: Izrahiah; and sons of Izrahiah: Michael, and Obadiah, and Joel, Ishiah, Hamishah—all of them heads.
4 Cumque eis per familias, et populos suos, accincti ad praelium, viri fortissimi, triginta sex millia: multas enim habuerunt uxores, et filios.
And beside them, by their generations, of the house of their fathers, [are] thirty-six thousand troops of the host of battle, for they multiplied wives and sons;
5 Fratres quoque eorum per omnem cognationem Issachar robustissimi ad pugnandum, octoginta septem millia numerati sunt.
and their brothers of all the families of Issachar, mighty men of valor, listed by their genealogy, [are] eighty-seven thousand for the whole.
6 Filii Beniamin: Bela, et Bechor, et Iadihel, tres.
Of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Jediael—three.
7 Filii Bela: Esbon, et Ozi, et Oziel, et Ierimoth, et Urai, quinque principes familiarum, et ad pugnandum robustissimi: numerus autem eorum, viginti duo millia et triginta quattuor.
And sons of Bela: Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth, and Iri—five; heads of a house of fathers, mighty men of valor, with their genealogy, twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.
8 Porro filii Bechor: Zamira, et Ioas, et Eliezer, et Elioenai, et Amri, et Ierimoth, et Abia, et Anathoth, et Almath: omnes hi, filii Bechor.
And sons of Becher: Zemirah, and Joash, and Eliezar, and Elioenai, and Omri, and Jerimoth, and Abijah, and Anathoth, and Alameth. All these [are] sons of Becher,
9 Numerati sunt autem per familias suas principes cognationum suarum ad bella fortissimi, viginti millia et ducenti.
with their genealogy, after their generations, heads of a house of their fathers, mighty men of valor, twenty thousand and two hundred.
10 Porro filii Iadihel: Balan. Filii autem Balan: Iehus, et Beniamin, et Aod, et Chanana, et Zethan, et Tharsis, et Ahisahar.
And sons of Jediael: Bilhan; and sons of Bilhan: Jeush, and Benjamin, and Ehud, and Chenaanah, and Zethan, and Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
11 omnes hi filii Iadihel, principes cognationum suarum, viri fortissimi, decem et septem millia, et ducenti ad praelium procedentes.
All these [are] sons of Jediael, even heads of the fathers, mighty in valor, seventeen thousand and two hundred going out to the host for battle.
12 Sepham quoque, et Hapham filii Hir: et Hasim filii Aher.
And Shuppim and Huppim [are] sons of Ir, [and] Hushim [is] the son of Aher.
13 Filii autem Nephthali: Iaziel, et Guni, et Ieser, et Sellum, filii Bala.
Sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shallum, sons of Bilhah.
14 Porro filius Manasse, Esriel: concubinaque eius Syra peperit Machir patrem Galaad.
Sons of Manasseh: Ashriel, whom Jaladah his Aramean concubine bore, with Machir father of Gilead.
15 Machir autem accepit uxorem filiis suis Happhim, et Saphan: et habuit sororem nomine Maacha: nomen autem secundi, Salphaad, nataeque sunt Salphaad filiae.
And Machir took wives for Huppim and for Shuppim, and the name of the first [is] Maachah, and the name of the second Zelophehad, and Zelophehad has daughters.
16 et peperit Maacha uxor Machir filium, vocavitque nomen eius Phares: porro nomen fratris eius, Sares: et filii eius, Ulam, et Recen.
And Maachah wife of Machir bears a son and calls his name Peresh, and the name of his brother [is] Sheresh, and his sons [are] Ulam and Rakem.
17 Filius autem Ulam, Badan. hi sunt filii Galaad, filii Machir, filii Manasse.
And son of Ulam: Bedan. These [are] sons of Gilead son of Machir, son of Manasseh.
18 Soror autem eius Regina peperit Virumdecorum, et Abiezer, et Mohola.
And his sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah.
19 Erant autem filii Semida, Ahin, et Sechem, et Leci, et Aniam.
And the sons of Shemida are Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.
20 Filii autem Ephraim: Suthala, Bared filius eius, Thahath filius eius, Elada filius eius, Thahath filius eius, huius filius Zabad,
And sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son,
21 et huius filius Suthula, et huius filius Ezer et Elad: occiderunt autem eos viri Geth indigenae, quia descenderant ut invaderent possessiones eorum.
and Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead; and men of Gath who are born in the land have slain them because they came down to take their livestock.
22 Luxit igitur Ephraim pater eorum multis diebus, et venerunt fratres eius ut consolarentur eum.
And their father Ephraim mourns many days, and his brothers come to comfort him,
23 Ingressusque est ad uxorem suam: quae concepit, et peperit filium, et vocavit nomen eius Beria, eo quod in malis domus eius ortus esset:
and he goes in to his wife, and she conceives and bears a son, and he calls his name Beriah, because his house had been in calamity—
24 filia autem eius fuit Sara, quae aedificavit Bethoron inferiorem et superiorem, et Ozensara.
and his daughter [is] Sherah, and she builds Beth-Horon, the lower and the upper, and Uzzen-Sherah—
25 Porro filius eius Rapha, et Reseph, et Thale, de quo natus est Thaan,
Rephah [is] his son, and Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son,
26 qui genuit Laadan: huius quoque filius Ammiud, qui genuit Elisama,
Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,
27 de quo ortus est Nun, qui habuit filium Iosue.
Nun his son, Joshua his son.
28 Possessio autem eorum et habitatio, Bethel cum filiabus suis, et contra orientem Noran ac Occidentalem plagam Gazer et filiae eius, Sichem quoque cum filiabus suis, usque ad Asa cum filiabus eius.
And their possession and their dwellings [are] Beth-El and its small towns, and Naaran to the east, and Gezer and its small towns to the west, and Shechem and its small towns, as far as Gaza and its small towns;
29 Iuxta filios quoque Manasse Bethsan et filias eius, Thanach et filias eius, Mageddo et filias eius: Dor et filias eius: in his habitaverunt filii Ioseph, filii Israel.
and by the parts of the sons of Manasseh [are] Beth-Shean and its small towns, Taanach and its small towns, Megiddo and its small towns, Dor and its small towns; the sons of Joseph, son of Israel, dwelt in these.
30 Filii Aser: Iemna, et Iesua, et Iessui, et Baria, et Sara soror eorum.
Son of Asher: Imnah, and Ishve, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and their sister Serah.
31 Filii autem Baria: Heber, et Melchiel: ipse est pater Barsaith.
And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel—he [is] father of Birzavith.
32 Heber autem genuit Iephlat, et Somer, et Hotham, et Suaa sororem eorum.
And Heber begot Japhlet, and Shomer, and Hotham, and their sister Shua.
33 Filii Iephlat: Phosech, et Chamaal, et Asoth: hi filii Iephlat.
And sons of Japhlet: Pasach, and Bimhal, and Ashvath; these [are] sons of Japhlet.
34 Porro filii Somer: Ahi, et Roaga, et Haba, et Aram.
And sons of Shamer: Ahi, and Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.
35 Filii autem Helem fratris eius: Supha, et Iemna, et Selles, et Amal.
And [each] son of his brother Helem: Zophah, and Imna, and Shelesh, and Amal.
36 Filii Supha: Sue, Harnapher, et Sual, et Beri, et Iamra,
Sons of Zophah: Suah, and Harnepher, and Shual, and Beri, and Imrah,
37 Bosor, et Hod, et Samma, et Salusa, et Iethran, et Bera.
Bezer, and Hod, and Shamma, and Shilshah, and Ithran, and Beera.
38 Filii Iether: Iephone, et Phaspha, et Ara.
And sons of Jether: Jephunneh, and Pispah, and Ara.
39 Filii autem Olla: Aree, et Haniel, et Resia.
And sons of Ulla: Arah, and Hanniel, and Rezia.
40 Omnes hi filii Aser, principes cognationum, electi atque fortissimi duces ducum: numerus autem eorum aetatis, quae apta esset ad bellum, viginti sex millia.
All these [are] sons of Asher, heads of the house of the fathers, chosen ones, mighty in valor, heads of the princes, with their genealogy, for the host, for battle, their number [is] twenty-six thousand men.
