1 David vero hos habuit filios, qui ei nati sunt in Hebron; primogenitum Amnon ex Achinoam Iezrahelitide, secundum Daniel de Abigail Carmelitide,
These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: The firstborn was Amnon by Ahinoam of Jezreel; the second was Daniel by Abigail of Carmel;
2 tertium Absalom filium Maacha filiae Tholmai regis Gessur, quartum Adoniam filium Aggith,
the third was Absalom the son of Maacah daughter of King Talmai of Geshur; the fourth was Adonijah the son of Haggith;
3 quintum Saphathiam ex Abital, sextum Iethraham de Egla uxore sua.
the fifth was Shephatiah by Abital; and the sixth was Ithream by his wife Eglah.
4 Sex ergo nati sunt ei in Hebron, ubi regnavit septem annis et sex mensibus. Triginta autem et tribus annis regnavit in Ierusalem.
These six sons were born to David in Hebron, where he reigned seven years and six months. And David reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three years,
5 Porro in Ierusalem nati sunt ei filii Simmaa, et Sobab, et Nathan, et Salomon, quattuor de Bethsabee filia Ammiel,
and these sons were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon. These four were born to him by Bathsheba daughter of Ammiel.
6 Iebaar quoque et Elisama,
David’s other sons were Ibhar, Elishua, Eliphelet,
7 et Eliphaleth, et Noge, et Nepheg, et Iaphia,
Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
8 necnon Elisama, et Eliada, et Elipheleth, novem:
Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet—nine in all.
9 omnes hi, filii David absque filiis concubinarum: habueruntque sororem Thamar.
These were all the sons of David, besides the sons by his concubines. And Tamar was their sister.
10 Filius autem Salomonis, Roboam: cuius Abia filius genuit Asa. De hoc quoque natus est Iosaphat,
Solomon’s son was Rehoboam: Abijah was his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,
11 pater Ioram: qui Ioram genuit Ochoziam, ex quo ortus est Ioas:
Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son,
12 et huius Amasias filius genuit Azariam. Porro Azariae filius Ioatham
Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,
13 procreavit Achaz patrem Ezechiae, de quo natus est Manasses.
Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,
14 Sed et Manasses genuit Amon patrem Iosiae.
Amon his son, and Josiah his son.
15 Filii autem Iosiae fuerunt, primogenitus Iohanan, secundus Ioakim, tertius Sedechias, quartus Sellum.
The sons of Josiah: Johanan was the firstborn, Jehoiakim the second, Zedekiah the third, and Shallum the fourth.
16 De Ioakim natus est Iechonias, et Sedechias.
The successors of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, and Zedekiah.
17 Filii Iechoniae fuerunt, Asir, Salathiel,
The descendants of Jeconiah the captive: Shealtiel his son,
18 Melchiram, Phadaia, Senneser et Iecemia, Sama, et Nadabia.
Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.
19 De Phadaia orti sunt Zorobabel et Semei. Zorobabel genuit Mosollam, Hananiam, et Salomith sororem eorum:
The sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel and Shimei. The children of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah, their sister Shelomith,
20 Hasaban quoque, et Ohol, et Barachian, et Hasadian, Iosabhesed, quinque.
and five others: Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-hesed.
21 Filius autem Hananiae, Phaltias pater Ieseiae, cuius filius Raphaia. huius quoque filius, Arnan, de quo natus est Obdia, cuius filius fuit Sechenias.
The descendants of Hananiah: Pelatiah, Jeshaiah, and the sons of Rephaiah, of Arnan, of Obadiah, and of Shecaniah.
22 Filius Secheniae, Semeia: cuius filii Hattus, et Iegaal, et Baria, et Naaria, et Saphat, et Sesa, sex numero.
The six descendants of Shecaniah were Shemaiah and his sons: Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat.
23 Filius Naariae, Elioenai, et Ezechias, et Ezricam, tres.
The sons of Neariah: Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam—three in all.
24 Filii Elioenai, Oduia, et Eliasub, et Pheleia, et Accub, et Iohanan, et Dalaia, et Anani, septem.
The sons of Elioenai: Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani—seven in all.
