< Psalmorum 128 >

1 Canticum graduum. Beati omnes qui timent Dominum, qui ambulant in viis ejus.
Blessed is every one that feareth Yhwh; that walketh in his ways.
2 Labores manuum tuarum quia manducabis: beatus es, et bene tibi erit.
For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Uxor tua sicut vitis abundans in lateribus domus tuæ; filii tui sicut novellæ olivarum in circuitu mensæ tuæ.
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Ecce sic benedicetur homo qui timet Dominum.
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth Yhwh.
5 Benedicat tibi Dominus ex Sion, et videas bona Jerusalem omnibus diebus vitæ tuæ.
Yhwh shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Et videas filios filiorum tuorum: pacem super Israël.
Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.
