Timotheum Ii 3
1 Hoc autem scito, quod in novissimis diebus instabunt tempora periculosa:
This however do realize, that in [the] last days will be present times difficult.
2 erunt homines seipsos amantes, cupidi, elati, superbi, blasphemi, parentibus non obedientes, ingrati, scelesti,
Will be for men lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, to parents disobedient, ungrateful, unholy,
3 sine affectione, sine pace, criminatores, incontinentes, immites, sine benignitate,
unloving, implacable, slanderous, without self-control, savage, without love of good,
4 proditores, protervi, tumidi, et voluptatum amatores magis quam Dei:
treacherous, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 habentes speciem quidem pietatis, virtutem autem ejus abnegantes. Et hos devita:
having a form of godliness but the power of it already denying. And these do yourself turn away from.
6 ex his enim sunt qui penetrant domos, et captivas ducunt mulierculas oneratas peccatis, quæ ducuntur variis desideriis:
Out of this sort for are those entering into households and (being captured *N(k)O*) (*k*) weak women burdened with sins, being led away by passions various,
7 semper discentes, et numquam ad scientiam veritatis pervenientes.
always learning and never to a knowledge of [the] truth to come being able.
8 Quemadmodum autem Jannes et Mambres restiterunt Moysi: ita et hi resistunt veritati, homines corrupti mente, reprobi circa fidem;
By which way now Jannes and Jambres opposed to Moses, so also these oppose to the truth, men depraved in mind, disqualified regarding the faith.
9 sed ultra non proficient: insipientia enim eorum manifesta erit omnibus, sicut et illorum fuit.
But not they will advance further much; for the folly of them plain will be to all, as also that of those [two] became.
10 Tu autem assecutus es meam doctrinam, institutionem, propositum, fidem, longanimitatem, dilectionem, patientiam,
You yourself however (closely followed *N(k)O*) after my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,
11 persecutiones, passiones: qualia mihi facta sunt Antiochiæ, Iconii, et Lystris: quales persecutiones sustinui, et ex omnibus eripuit me Dominus.
persecutions, sufferings such as to me happened in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what manner of persecutions I endured! And yet out of all me delivered the Lord.
12 Et omnes, qui pie volunt vivere in Christo Jesu, persecutionem patientur.
Also all now those desiring piously to live in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
13 Mali autem homines et seductores proficient in pejus, errantes, et in errorem mittentes.
Evil however men and imposters will advance to worse deceiving and being deceived.
14 Tu vero permane in iis quæ didicisti, et credita sunt tibi: sciens a quo didiceris:
You yourself however do abide in [the] things you have learned and you were assured of knowing from (which [people] *N(k)O*) you learned [them],
15 et quia ab infantia sacras litteras nosti, quæ te possunt instruere ad salutem, per fidem quæ est in Christo Jesu.
and for from childhood the sacred writings you know, which are being able you to make wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 Omnis Scriptura divinitus inspirata utilis est ad docendum, ad arguendum, ad corripiendum, et erudiendum in justitia:
Every Scripture [is] God-breathed and profitable for instruction, for conviction, for correction, [and] for training in righteousness,
17 ut perfectus sit homo Dei, ad omne opus bonum instructus.
so that complete may be the of God man, toward every work good fully equipped.
