1 Regina quoque Saba, cum audisset famam Salomonis, venit ut tentaret eum in ænigmatibus in Ierusalem, cum magnis opibus et camelis, qui portabant aromata, et auri plurimum, gemmasque pretiosas. Cumque venisset ad Salomonem, locuta est ei quæcumque erant in corde suo.
And [the] queen of Sheba she heard [the] report of Solomon and she came to put to [the] test Solomon by difficult matters in Jerusalem with a retinue numerous very and camels carrying spices and gold to abundance and stone[s] precious and she came to Solomon and she spoke with him all that it was with heart her.
2 Et exposuit ei Salomon omnia quæ proposuerat: nec quidquam fuit, quod non perspicuum ei fecerit.
And he told to her Solomon all words her and not it was concealed a word from Solomon which not he told to her.
3 Quæ postquam vidit, sapientiam scilicet Salomonis, et domum quam ædificaverat,
And she saw [the] queen of Sheba [the] wisdom of Solomon and the house which he had built.
4 necnon et cibaria mensæ eius, et habitacula servorum, et officia ministrorum eius, et vestimenta eorum, pincernas quoque et vestes eorum, et victimas quas immolabat in domo Domini: non erat præ stupore ultra in ea spiritus.
And [the] food of table his and [the] seating of servants his and [the] standing of servants his and clothes their and cup-bearers his and clothes their and upper room his which he went up [the] house of Yahweh and not it was still in her breath.
5 Dixitque ad regem: Verus est sermo, quem audieram in terra mea de virtutibus et sapientia tua.
And she said to the king [was] truth the word which I heard in own land my on words your and on wisdom your.
6 Non credebam narrantibus donec ipsa venissem, et vidissent oculi mei, et probassem vix medietatem sapientiæ tuæ mihi fuisse narratam: vicisti famam virtutibus tuis.
And not I believed words their until that I came and they saw eyes my and here! not it was told to me [the] half of [the] greatness of wisdom your you have added to the report which I heard.
7 Beati viri tui, et beati servi tui, qui assistunt coram te omni tempore, et audiunt sapientiam tuam.
How blessed! [are] people your and how blessed! [are] servants your these who stand before you continually and [who] hear wisdom your.
8 Sit Dominus Deus tuus benedictus, qui voluit te ordinare super thronum suum, regem Domini Dei tui. Quia diligit Deus Israel, et vult servare eum in æternum, idcirco posuit te super eum regem ut facias iudicia atque iustitiam.
May he be Yahweh God your blessed who - he has delighted in you to put you on throne his to king for Yahweh God your because loves God your Israel to make stand it for ever and he has appointed you over them to king to do justice and righteousness.
9 Dedit autem regi centum viginti talenta auri, et aromata multa nimis, et gemmas pretiosissimas: non fuerunt aromata talia ut hæc, quæ dedit regina Saba regi Salomoni.
And she gave to the king one hundred and twenty - talent[s] of gold and spices to abundance exceedingly and stone[s] precious and not it has been like the spice that which she gave [the] queen of Sheba to the king Solomon.
10 Sed et servi Hiram cum servis Salomonis attulerunt aurum de Ophir, et ligna thyina, et gemmas pretiosissimas:
And also [the] servants of (Huram *Q(K)*) and [the] servants of Solomon who they brought gold from Ophir they brought wood of algum and stone[s] precious.
11 de quibus fecit rex, de lignis scilicet thyinis, gradus in domo Domini, et in domo regia, citharas quoque, et psalteria cantoribus: numquam visa sunt in Terra Iuda ligna talia.
And he made the king [the] wood of the algum tracks for [the] house of Yahweh and for [the] house of the king and harps and lyres for the singers and not they had been seen like them before in [the] land of Judah.
12 Rex autem Salomon dedit reginæ Saba cuncta quæ voluit, et quæ postulavit, et multo plura quam attulerat ad eum: quæ reversa, abiit in terram suam cum servis suis.
And the king Solomon he gave to [the] queen of Sheba all desire her which she asked besides [that] which she had brought to the king and she turned and she went to own land her she and servants her.
13 Erat autem pondus auri, quod afferebatur Salomoni per singulos annos, sexcenta sexaginta sex talenta auri:
And it was [the] weight of the gold which it came to Solomon in a year one six hundred and sixty and six talents of gold.
14 excepta ea summa, quam legati diversarum gentium, et negotiatores afferre consueverant, omnesque reges Arabiæ, et satrapæ terrarum, qui comportabant aurum, et argentum Salomoni.
Apart from [the] men of the merchants and the traders [were] bringing and all [the] kings of Arabia and [the] governors of the land [were] bringing gold and silver to Solomon.
15 Fecit igitur rex Salomon ducentas hastas aureas de summa sexcentorum aureorum, qui in singulis hastis expendebantur:
And he made the king Solomon two hundred body shield[s] gold beaten six hundred gold beaten he put up on the body shield one.
16 trecenta quoque scuta aurea trecentorum aureorum, quibus tegebantur singula scuta: posuitque ea rex in armentario, quod erat consitum nemore.
And three hundred shields gold beaten three hundred gold he put up on the shield one and he put them the king in [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon.
17 Fecit quoque rex solium eburneum grande, et vestivit illud auro mundissimo.
And he made the king a throne of ivory great and he overlaid it gold pure.
18 Sex quoque gradus, quibus ascendebatur ad solium, et scabellum aureum, et brachiola duo altrinsecus, et duos leones stantes iuxta brachiola,
And six steps [belonged] to the throne and a footstool in gold to the throne [were] attached and hands from this and from this [were] on [the] place of the sitting and two lions [were] standing beside the hands.
19 sed et alios duodecim leunculos stantes super sex gradus ex utraque parte: non fuit tale solium in universis regnis.
And two [plus] ten lions [were] standing there on [the] six the steps from this and from this not it had been made thus for any kingdom.
20 Omnia quoque vasa convivii regis erant aurea, et vasa domus saltus Libani ex auro purissimo. Argentum enim in diebus illis pro nihilo reputabatur.
And all [the] vessels of [the] drink of the king Solomon [were] gold and all [the] utensils of [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon [were] gold pure gold not silver [was] esteemed in [the] days of Solomon to anything.
21 Siquidem naves regis ibant in Tharsis cum servis Hiram, semel in annis tribus: et deferebant inde aurum et argentum, et ebur, et simias, et pavos.
For ships of the king [were] going Tarshish with [the] servants of Huram one [time] to three years they came - ships of Tarshish carrying gold and silver ivori and monkeys and apes.
22 Magnificatus est igitur Salomon super omnes reges terræ præ divitiis et gloria.
And he became great the king Solomon more than all [the] kings of the earth to wealth and wisdom.
23 Omnesque reges terrarum desiderabant videre faciem Salomonis, ut audirent sapientiam, quam dederat Deus in corde eius:
And all [the] kings of the earth [were] seeking [the] face of Solomon to hear wisdom his which he had put God in heart his.
24 et deferebant ei munera, vasa argentea, et aurea, et vestes, et arma, et aromata, equos, et mulos, per singulos annos.
And they [were] bringing everyone gift his articles of silver and articles of gold and garments weaponry and spices horses and mules [the] matter of a year in a year.
25 Habuit quoque Salomon quadraginta millia equorum in stabulis, et curruum, equitumque duodecim millia, constituitque eos in urbibus quadrigarum, et ubi erat rex in Ierusalem.
And it belonged to Solomon four thousand stalls of horses and chariots and two [plus] ten thousand horsemen and he placed them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
26 Exercuit etiam potestatem super cunctos reges a flumine Euphrate usque ad terram Philisthinorum, et usque ad terminos Ægypti.
And he was ruling over all the kings from the river and to [the] land of [the] Philistines and to [the] border of Egypt.
27 Tantamque copiam præbuit argenti in Ierusalem quasi lapidum: et cedrorum tantam multitudinem velut sycomororum, quæ gignuntur in campestribus.
And he made the king silver in Jerusalem like stones and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
28 Adducebantur autem ei equi de Ægypto, cunctisque regionibus.
And [were] brought out horses from Egypt for Solomon and from all the lands.
29 Reliqua autem operum Salomonis priorum et novissimorum scripta sunt in verbis Nathan Prophetæ, et in libris Ahiæ Silonitis, in visione quoque Addo Videntis, contra Ieroboam filium Nabat.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Solomon former and latter ¿ not [are] they written on [the] words of Nathan the prophet and on [the] prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in [the] visions (Iddo *Q(K)*) the seer on Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat.
30 Regnavit autem Salomon in Ierusalem super omnem Israel quadraginta annis.
And he reigned Solomon in Jerusalem over all Israel forty year[s].
31 Dormivitque cum patribus suis, et sepelierunt eum in Civitate David: regnavitque Roboam filius eius pro eo.
And he lay down Solomon with ancestors his and people buried him in [the] city of David father his and he became king Rehoboam son his in place of him.
