< Psalmorum 99 >
1 Psalmus ipsi David. Dominus regnavit, irascantur populi: qui sedet super cherubim, moveatur terra.
A Psalm of David. The Lord reigns; —let the people rage; [it is he] that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.
2 Dominus in Sion magnus: et excelsus super omnes populos.
The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.
3 Confiteantur nomini tuo magno: quoniam terribile, et sanctum est:
Let them give thanks to thy great name; for it is terrible and holy.
4 et honor regis iudicium diligit. Tu parasti directiones: iudicium et iustitiam in Iacob tu fecisti.
And the king's honour loves judgment; thou hast prepared equity, thou hast wrought judgment and justice in Jacob.
5 Exaltate Dominum Deum nostrum, et adorate scabellum pedum eius: quoniam sanctum est.
Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship [at] his footstool; for he is holy.
6 Moyses et Aaron in sacerdotibus eius: et Samuel inter eos, qui invocant nomen eius: Invocabant Dominum, et ipse exaudiebat eos:
Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he heard them.
7 in columna nubis loquebatur ad eos. Custodiebant testimonia eius, et præceptum quod dedit illis.
He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the ordinances which he gave them.
8 Domine Deus noster tu exaudiebas eos: Deus tu propitius fuisti eis, et ulciscens in omnes adinventiones eorum.
O Lord our God, thou heardest them; O God, thou becamest propitious to them, though thou didst take vengeance on all their devices.
9 Exaltate Dominum Deum nostrum, et adorate in monte sancto eius: quoniam sanctus Dominus Deus noster.
Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
