< Psalmorum 126 >
1 Canticum graduum. [In convertendo Dominus captivitatem Sion, facti sumus sicut consolati.
A Song of Ascents. When Jehovah brought back those that returned to Zion, We were like unto them that dream.
2 Tunc repletum est gaudio os nostrum, et lingua nostra exsultatione. Tunc dicent inter gentes: Magnificavit Dominus facere cum eis.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the nations, Jehovah hath done great things for them.
3 Magnificavit Dominus facere nobiscum; facti sumus lætantes.
Jehovah hath done great things for us, [Whereof] we are glad.
4 Converte, Domine, captivitatem nostram, sicut torrens in austro.
Turn again our captivity, O Jehovah, As the streams in the South.
5 Qui seminant in lacrimis, in exsultatione metent.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 Euntes ibant et flebant, mittentes semina sua. Venientes autem venient cum exsultatione, portantes manipulos suos.]
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing his sheaves [with him].
