Liber Numeri 29
1 Mensis etiam septimi prima dies venerabilis et sancta erit vobis. Omne opus servile non facietis in ea, quia dies clangoris est et tubarum.
“Hold a holy meeting on the first day of the seventh month. Don't do any of your normal work. This is the day when you will blow the trumpets.
2 Offeretisque holocaustum in odorem suavissimum Domino, vitulum de armento unum, arietem unum, et agnos anniculos immaculatos septem:
Present a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all of them without defects, as a sacrifice acceptable to the Lord,
3 et in sacrificiis eorum, similæ oleo conspersæ tres decimas per singulos vitulos, duas decimas per arietem,
along with their grain offerings of the best flour mixed with olive oil: three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram,
4 unam decimam per agnum, qui simul sunt agni septem:
and one tenth of an ephah for each of the seven male lambs.
5 et hircum pro peccato, qui offertur in expiationem populi,
Also present a male goat as a sin offering to make you right.
6 præter holocaustum calendarum cum sacrificiis suis, et holocaustum sempiternum cum libationibus solitis: eisdem cæremoniis offeretis in odorem suavissimum incensum Domino.
These offerings are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt offerings along with their required grain offerings and drink offerings. They are burnt offerings acceptable to the Lord.
7 Decima quoque dies mensis hujus septimi erit vobis sancta atque venerabilis, et affligetis animas vestras: omne opus servile non facietis in ea.
Hold a holy meeting on the tenth day of this seventh month, and practice self-denial. Don't do any of your normal work.
8 Offeretisque holocaustum Domino in odorem suavissimum, vitulum de armento unum, arietem unum, agnos anniculos immaculatos septem:
Present a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all of them without defects, acceptable to the Lord.
9 et in sacrificiis eorum similæ oleo conspersæ tres decimas per singulos vitulos, duas decimas per arietem,
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings of the best flour mixed with olive oil: three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths of an ephah for the ram,
10 decimam decimæ per agnos singulos, qui sunt simul agni septem:
and one tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs.
11 et hircum pro peccato, absque his quæ offerri pro delicto solent in expiationem, et holocaustum sempiternum, cum sacrificio et libaminibus eorum.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the sin offering to make you right and the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
12 Quintadecima vero die mensis septimi, quæ vobis sancta erit atque venerabilis, omne opus servile non facietis in ea, sed celebrabitis solemnitatem Domino septem diebus.
Hold a holy meeting on the fifteenth day of the seventh month. Don't do any of your normal work. You are to celebrate a festival dedicated to the Lord for seven days.
13 Offeretisque holocaustum in odorem suavissimum Domino, vitulos de armento tredecim, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
Present the following as a burnt offering acceptable to the Lord: thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
14 et in libamentis eorum, similæ oleo conspersæ tres decimas per vitulos singulos, qui sunt simul vituli tredecim, et duas decimas arieti uno, id est, simul arietibus duobus,
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings of the best flour mixed with olive oil: three-tenths of an ephah of the best flour mixed with olive oil for each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenths of an ephah for each of the two rams,
15 et decimam decimæ agnis singulis, qui sunt simul agni quatuordecim:
and one tenth of an ephah for each of the fourteen lambs.
16 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, et sacrificio, et libamine ejus.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
17 In die altero offeretis vitulos de armento duodecim, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
On the second day present twelve young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
18 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
19 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque et libamine ejus.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
20 Die tertio offeretis vitulos undecim, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
On the third day present eleven young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
21 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
22 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque et libamine ejus.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
23 Die quarto offeretis vitulos decem, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
On the fourth day present ten young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
24 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
25 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque ejus et libamine.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
26 Die quinto offeretis vitulos novem, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
On the fifth day present nine young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
27 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
28 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque ejus et libamine.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
29 Die sexto offeretis vitulos octo, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
On the sixth day present eight young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
30 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
31 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque ejus et libamine.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
32 Die septimo offeretis vitulos septem, et arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim:
On the seventh day present seven young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
33 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
34 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque ejus et libamine.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
35 Die octavo, qui est celeberrimus, omne opus servile non facietis,
On the eighth day all of you are to meet together. Don't do any of your normal work.
36 offerentes holocaustum in odorem suavissimum Domino, vitulum unum, arietem unum, agnos anniculos immaculatos septem:
Present the following as a burnt offering acceptable to the Lord: one bull, two rams, and seven male lambs a year old, all of them without defects.
37 sacrificiaque et libamina singulorum, per vitulos, et arietes, et agnos rite celebrabitis:
They are to be accompanied by their grain offerings and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs, all according to the number required.
38 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque ejus et libamine.
Also present a male goat as a sin offering in addition to the continual burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
39 Hæc offeretis Domino in solemnitatibus vestris: præter vota et oblationes spontaneas in holocausto, in sacrificio, in libamine, et in hostiis pacificis.
Present these offerings to the Lord at the times you are required to do so, in addition to your offerings to fulfill a promise and freewill offerings, whether they are burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings, or peace offerings.”
40 Narravitque Moyses filiis Israël omnia quæ ei Dominus imperarat.
Moses repeated all this to the Israelites as the Lord ordered him to do.
