Job 38
1 Respondens autem Dominus Job de turbine, dixit:
And he answered Yahweh Job (from - *Q(K)*) (the tempest *Q(k)*) and he said.
2 [Quis est iste involvens sententias sermonibus imperitis?
Who? this - [is] making dark counsel by words not knowledge.
3 Accinge sicut vir lumbos tuos: interrogabo te, et responde mihi.
Gird up please like a man loins your and I will ask you and make known to me.
4 Ubi eras quando ponebam fundamenta terræ? indica mihi, si habes intelligentiam.
Where? were you when founded I [the] earth tell if you know understanding.
5 Quis posuit mensuras ejus, si nosti? vel quis tetendit super eam lineam?
Who? did he appoint measurements its for you know or who? did he stretch out on it a measuring-line.
6 Super quo bases illius solidatæ sunt? aut quis demisit lapidem angularem ejus,
On what? bases its were they sunk or who? did he lay [the] stone of corner its.
7 cum me laudarent simul astra matutina, et jubilarent omnes filii Dei?
When sang together [the] stars of morning and they shouted all [the] sons of God.
8 Quis conclusit ostiis mare, quando erumpebat quasi de vulva procedens;
And he shut off with doors [the] sea when burst forth it from [the] womb it came forth.
9 cum ponerem nubem vestimentum ejus, et caligine illud quasi pannis infantiæ obvolverem?
When made I cloud[s] clothing its and thick darkness swaddling-band its.
10 Circumdedi illud terminis meis, et posui vectem et ostia,
And I broke on it boundary my and I set in place a bar and doors.
11 et dixi: Usque huc venies, et non procedes amplius, et hic confringes tumentes fluctus tuos.
And I said to here you will come and not you will add and here someone will fix in [the] pride of waves your.
12 Numquid post ortum tuum præcepisti diluculo, et ostendisti auroræ locum suum?
¿ From days your have you commanded morning (you caused to know the dawn *Q(K)*) place its.
13 Et tenuisti concutiens extrema terræ, et excussisti impios ex ea?
To take hold on [the] corners of the earth so they may be shaken wicked [people] from it.
14 Restituetur ut lutum signaculum, et stabit sicut vestimentum:
It is changed like [the] clay of a seal so they may stand forth like clothing.
15 auferetur ab impiis lux sua, et brachium excelsum confringetur.
So it may be withheld from wicked [people] light their and an arm uplifted it is broken.
16 Numquid ingressus es profunda maris, et in novissimis abyssi deambulasti?
¿ Have you gone to [the] springs of [the] sea and in [the] depth of [the] deep have you walked about?
17 Numquid apertæ sunt tibi portæ mortis, et ostia tenebrosa vidisti?
¿ Have they been revealed to you [the] gates of death and [the] gates of deep darkness have you seen?
18 Numquid considerasti latitudinem terræ? indica mihi, si nosti, omnia:
Have you shown yourself attentive? to [the] broad spaces of [the] earth tell if you know all of it.
19 in qua via lux habitet, et tenebrarum quis locus sit:
Where? this [is] the way [where] it dwells light and darkness where? this [is] place its.
20 ut ducas unumquodque ad terminos suos, et intelligas semitas domus ejus.
That you will take it to territory its and that you will discern [the] paths of house its.
21 Sciebas tunc quod nasciturus esses, et numerum dierum tuorum noveras?
You know for then you were born and [the] number of days your [is] many.
22 Numquid ingressus es thesauros nivis, aut thesauros grandinis aspexisti,
¿ Have you gone into [the] storehouses of snow and [the] storehouses of hail have you seen?
23 quæ præparavi in tempus hostis, in diem pugnæ et belli?
Which I have kept back for [the] time of distress for [the] day of battle and warfare.
24 Per quam viam spargitur lux, dividitur æstus super terram?
Where? this [is] the way [where] it is divided light [where] it scatters [the] east wind over [the] earth.
25 Quis dedit vehementissimo imbri cursum, et viam sonantis tonitrui,
Who? does he divide for the flood a channel and a path for [the] storm of thunder claps.
26 ut plueret super terram absque homine in deserto, ubi nullus mortalium commoratur;
To send rain on a land not anyone a wilderness [which] not anyone [is] in it.
27 ut impleret inviam et desolatam, et produceret herbas virentes?
To satisfy devastation and desolation and to cause to sprout a going forth of vegetation.
28 Quis est pluviæ pater? vel quis genuit stillas roris?
¿ [is] there For the rain a father or who? does he father [the] drops of dew.
29 De cujus utero egressa est glacies? et gelu de cælo quis genuit?
From [the] womb of whom? does it come forth the ice and [the] frost of heaven who? does he give birth to it.
30 In similitudinem lapidis aquæ durantur, et superficies abyssi constringitur.
Like stone waters they become hard and [the] surface of [the] deep they freeze.
31 Numquid conjungere valebis micantes stellas Pleiadas, aut gyrum Arcturi poteris dissipare?
¿ Will you bind on [the] bonds of Pleiades or? [the] chains of Orion will you loosen.
32 Numquid producis luciferum in tempore suo, et vesperum super filios terræ consurgere facis?
¿ Will you lead out [the] constellations at appropriate time its and [the] Bear with young ones its will you guide? them.
33 Numquid nosti ordinem cæli, et pones rationem ejus in terra?
¿ Do you know [the] statutes of [the] heavens or? do you appoint rule its over the earth.
34 Numquid elevabis in nebula vocem tuam, et impetus aquarum operiet te?
¿ Will you lift up to the cloud[s] voice your and an abundance of water will you cover? yourself.
35 Numquid mittes fulgura, et ibunt, et revertentia dicent tibi: Adsumus?
¿ Will you send forth lightning so they may go and they may say to you here [are] we.
36 Quis posuit in visceribus hominis sapientiam? vel quis dedit gallo intelligentiam?
Who? has he put in the inner parts wisdom or who? has he given to the heart understanding.
37 Quis enarrabit cælorum rationem? et concentum cæli quis dormire faciet?
Who? will he count [the] clouds by wisdom and [the] waterskins of heaven who? will he make to lie down.
38 Quando fundebatur pulvis in terra, et glebæ compingebantur?
When flows [the] dust into lump and [the] clods they are joined together.
39 Numquid capies leænæ prædam, et animam catulorum ejus implebis,
¿ Will you hunt for a lion prey and [the] life of young lions will you fill?
40 quando cubant in antris, et in specubus insidiantur?
If they will crouch in dens they will remain in thicket for lying-in-wait.
41 Quis præparat corvo escam suam, quando pulli ejus clamant ad Deum, vagantes, eo quod non habeant cibos?]
Who? does he prepare for the raven food-supply its if (young ones its *Q(K)*) to God they will cry for help they will wander about for not food.
