< Deuteronomii 13 >

1 Si surrexerit in medio tui prophetes, aut qui somnium vidisse se dicat, et prædixerit signum atque portentum,
If he will arise in midst your a prophet or a dreamer of a dream and he will give to you a sign or a wonder.
2 et evenerit quod locutus est, et dixerit tibi: Eamus, et sequamur deos alienos quos ignoras, et serviamus eis:
And it will come the sign and the wonder which he spoke to you saying let us walk after gods other which not you have known them and let us be enticed to serve them.
3 non audies verba prophetæ illius aut somniatoris: quia tentat vos Dominus Deus vester, ut palam fiat utrum diligatis eum an non, in toto corde, et in tota anima vestra.
Not you will listen to [the] words of the prophet that or to [the] dreamer of the dream that for [is] putting to [the] test Yahweh God your you to know ¿ [are] there you loving Yahweh God your with all heart your and with all being your.
4 Dominum Deum vestrum sequimini, et ipsum timete, et mandata illius custodite, et audite vocem ejus: ipsi servietis, et ipsi adhærebitis.
After Yahweh God your you will walk and him you will fear and commandments his you will keep and to voice his you will listen and him you will serve and to him you will cleave!
5 Propheta autem ille aut fictor somniorum interficietur: quia locutus est ut vos averteret a Domino Deo vestro, qui eduxit vos de terra Ægypti, et redemit vos de domo servitutis: ut errare te faceret de via, quam tibi præcepit Dominus Deus tuus: et auferes malum de medio tui.

6 Si tibi voluerit persuadere frater tuus filius matris tuæ, aut filius tuus vel filia, sive uxor quæ est in sinu tuo, aut amicus, quem diligis ut animam tuam, clam dicens: Eamus, et serviamus diis alienis, quos ignoras tu, et patres tui,

7 cunctarum in circuitu gentium, quæ juxta vel procul sunt, ab initio usque ad finem terræ,

8 non acquiescas ei, nec audias, neque parcat ei oculus tuus ut miserearis et occultes eum,

9 sed statim interficies: sit primum manus tua super eum, et postea omnis populus mittat manum.

10 Lapidibus obrutus necabitur: quia voluit te abstrahere a Domino Deo tuo, qui eduxit te de terra Ægypti, de domo servitutis:

12 Si audieris in una urbium tuarum, quas Dominus Deus tuus dabit tibi ad habitandum, dicentes aliquos:
If you will hear in one of cities your which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you to dwell there saying.
13 Egressi sunt filii Belial de medio tui, et averterunt habitatores urbis suæ, atque dixerunt: Eamus, et serviamus diis alienis quos ignoratis:
They have gone out men sons of worthlessness from midst your and they have thrust aside [the] inhabitants of city their saying let us go and let us serve gods other which not you have known.
14 quare sollicite et diligenter, rei veritate perspecta, si inveneris certum esse quod dicitur, et abominationem hanc opere perpetratam,
And you will investigate and you will search and you will enquire thoroughly and there! truth [is] certain the matter it has been done the abomination this in midst your.
15 statim percuties habitatores urbis illius in ore gladii, et delebis eam ac omnia quæ in illa sunt, usque ad pecora.
Certainly you will strike [the] inhabitants of the city (that *Q(K)*) to [the] mouth of [the] sword totally destroy it and all who [are] in it and livestock its to [the] mouth of [the] sword.
16 Quidquid etiam supellectilis fuerit, congregabis in medio platearum ejus, et cum ipsa civitate succendes, ita ut universa consumas Domino Deo tuo, et sit tumulus sempiternus. Non ædificabitur amplius,
And all plunder its you will gather into [the] middle of open place its and you will burn with fire the city and all plunder its a whole offering to Yahweh God your and it will be a mound of perpetuity not it will be built again.
17 et non adhærebit de illo anathemate quidquam in manu tua: ut avertatur Dominus ab ira furoris sui, et misereatur tui, multiplicetque te sicut juravit patribus tuis,
And not it will cling to hand your anything of the object[s] for destruction so that he may turn Yahweh from [the] burning of anger his and he will give to you compassion and he will have compassion on you and he will increase you just as he swore to ancestors your.
18 quando audieris vocem Domini Dei tui custodiens omnia præcepta ejus, quæ ego præcipio tibi hodie, ut facias quod placitum est in conspectu Domini Dei tui.
For you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh God your to keep all commandments his which I [am] commanding you this day to do the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh God your.
