1 لە پۆڵسەوە، بەندەی خودا و نێردراوی عیسای مەسیح، لە پێناوی گەشەکردنی باوەڕی ئەوانەی خودا هەڵیبژاردوون بۆ ناسینی ئەو ڕاستییەی کە بەرەو لەخواترسییان دەبات،

Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of God's elect and a real knowledge of the Truth that accords with godliness,

2 بە هیوای ئەو ژیانە هەتاهەتاییەی کە خودا، ئەوەی هەرگیز درۆ ناکات، لەپێش دەستپێکی زەمان بەڵێنی داوە. (aiōnios g166)

in hope of eternal life—which life God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time (aiōnios g166)

3 لە کاتی خۆیدا وشەکەی بە ڕاگەیاندن دەرخست، ئەوەی بەگوێرەی فەرمانی خودای ڕزگارکەرمان بە من سپێردرا.

but has manifested by a proclamation of His Word at chosen times, which word was entrusted to me by the command of our Savior God;

4 بۆ تیتۆسی کوڕی ڕاستەقینەم بەگوێرەی باوەڕی هاوبەشمان: با نیعمەت و ئاشتی لە خودای باوک و عیسای مەسیحی ڕزگارکەرمانەوە لەگەڵت بێت.

to Titus, a true son in a common faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from Father God and Sovereign Jesus Christ, our Savior.

5 لەبەر ئەمە تۆم لە دوورگەی کریت بەجێهێشت، تاکو ئەو شتانەی ماونەتەوە ڕێکیان بخەیت و لە هەموو شارێکدا پیران دابنێیت، وەک ڕامسپاردوویت.

I left you in Crete for this reason, that you should set in order the things that were lacking and appoint elders in every town as I directed you

6 پیر دەبێت گلەیی لەسەر نەبێت، مێردی یەک ژن بێت، منداڵەکانی باوەڕدار بن و کەس لەسەر بەڕەڵایی و یاخیبوون سکاڵایان لێ نەکات.

—if a man is blameless, a one-woman man, having children who believe and who are not open to the charge of being wild or disobedient.

7 لەبەر ئەوەی چاودێر سەرکاری خودایە، پێویستە گلەیی لەسەر نەبێت، خۆسەپێن و تووڕە و سەرخۆش و شەڕفرۆش نەبێت، چاوی لە دەستکەوتی ناڕەوا نەبێت،

Because as an administrator under God the overseer must be blameless; not self-willed, not hotheaded, not given to wine, not a bully, not avaricious;

8 بەڵکو میوان دۆست بێت، حەز لە چاکە بکات، ژیر بێت، ڕاستودروست و پیرۆز و خۆڕاگر بێت.

but rather hospitable, a lover of what is good, prudent, just, holy, disciplined;

9 دەست بە پەیامی متمانەوە بگرێت کە بەگوێرەی فێرکردنە، تاکو بتوانێت بە فێرکردنی دروست خەڵک هانبدات، سەرزەنشتی بەرهەڵستکاران بکات.

holding fast the trustworthy Word as taught, so that he may be competent both to exhort with the sound doctrine and to correct those who oppose it.

10 باسی ئەو شتانە دەکەم، چونکە خەڵکی یاخی زۆرن کە فێڵبازن و قسەی پووچ دەکەن، بە تایبەتی لەو تاقمەی کە دەڵێن دەبێ باوەڕدار خەتەنە بکرێت.

Because there really are lots of rebels, loudmouths and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group,

11 دەبێت دەمی ئەمانە دابخرێت، چونکە بۆ دەستکەوتی ناڕەوا، بە فێرکردنە ناپەسەندەکانیان تەواوی خێزانەکان هەڵدەگەڕێننەوە.

who must be silenced—they are ruining whole households, teaching things that they ought not, and for dishonest gain!

12 یەکێک لە پێغەمبەرانی دوورگەی کریت گوتوویەتی: «کریتییەکان هەمیشە درۆ دەکەن، دەعبای بەدکارن، نەوسنی تەمبەڵن.»

One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”

13 ئەم شایەتییە ڕاستە. لەبەر ئەوە بە توندی سەرزەنشتیان بکە، تاکو لە باوەڕەکەدا دروست بن و

This testimony is true. Therefore correct them rigorously, that they may be sound in the faith,

14 سەرنج نەدەنە ئەفسانەی جولەکە و ڕاسپاردەی ئەو کەسانەی کە لە ڕاستی هەڵدەگەڕێنەوە.

not paying attention to Jewish fables or to commands of men who are rejecting the truth.

15 بۆ پاک هەموو شتێک پاکە، بەڵام بۆ گڵاو و بێباوەڕان هیچ شتێک پاک نییە. لەڕاستیدا، بیر و ویژدانیشیان گڵاو بووە.

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; in fact, both their minds and their consciences are defiled.

16 بانگەشەی ئەوە دەکەن کە خودا دەناسن بەڵام بە کردەوە نکۆڵی لێ دەکەن. ئەوانە قێزەونن و گوێڕایەڵ نین و بەکەڵکی هیچ چاکەکارییەک نایەن.

They profess to know God, but by their actions they deny Him, being detestable, disobedient and disqualified for any good work.
