ڕۆما 13

1 با هەموو کەسێک ملکەچی دەسەڵاتدارە فەرمانڕەواکان بێت، چونکە دەسەڵات نییە لە خوداوە نەبێت، جا ئەوەی هەیە لەلایەن خوداوە دانراوە.

Let every one submit to the authorities that are over him; for there is no authority which is not from God: and the authorities which exist have been ordained by God.

2 ئیتر ئەوەی بەرهەڵستی دەسەڵات دەکات، بەرهەڵستی دانراوی خودا دەکات، بەرهەڵستکارانیش حوکمدان بەسەر خۆیان دەهێنن.

He therefore that setteth himself against the authority resisteth what God hath ordained; and they a who resist will bring upon themselves judgment.

3 فەرمانڕەوایان جێی ترس نین بۆ چاکەکاری، بەڵکو بۆ خراپەکاری. ئایا دەتەوێت لە دەسەڵات نەترسیت؟ چاکە بکە، ستایشی ئەو بەدەستدەهێنیت،

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wouldst thou then not be afraid of the government? Do that which is good, and thou wilt have praise from it;

4 چونکە خزمەتکاری خودایە و بۆ چاکەی تۆ کار دەکات. بەڵام ئەگەر خراپەت کرد بترسە، چونکە لەخۆڕا شمشێر هەڵناگرێت. ئەو خزمەتکاری خودایە و بە تووڕەیی خودا سزای خراپەکاران دەدات.

for the ruler is God's servant to thee for good. But if thou doest evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is God's servant, an avenger to inflict wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5 بۆیە پێویستە ملکەچ بن، نەک تەنها لەبەر تووڕەیی، بەڵکو لەبەر ویژدانیش.

It is necessary therefore to submit, not only because of the wrath, but also for your conscience' sake.

6 هەر لەبەر ئەمەشە باج دەدەن، چونکە ئەوان خزمەتکاری خودان و بەردەوام لەسەر ئەم کارەن.

For the same reason pay tribute also; for they are ministers of God, attending continually to this very business.

7 مافی هەمووان بدەن: باج بە خاوەن باج، سەرانە بە خاوەن سەرانە، ترس لە خاوەن ترس، ڕێز بە خاوەن ڕێز.

Render to all what is due to them; tribute, to whom tribute is due; custom, to whom custom; fear, to whom fear; honor, to whom honor.

8 بە هیچ شتێک قەرزاری کەس مەبن، جگە لەوەی یەکتریتان خۆشبوێ، چونکە ئەوەی خەڵکی دیکەی خۆشبوێ، شەریعەتی تەوراتی هێناوەتە دی.

Owe no one anything but brotherly love; for he that loveth others hath fulfilled the Law.

9 ڕاسپاردەکانی وەک [داوێنپیسی مەکەن]، [مەکوژن]، [دزی مەکەن]، [چاو مەبڕنە هیچ شتێک کە هی کەسێکی دیکە بێت] و ڕاسپاردەی دیکەش لەم ڕاسپاردەیەدا کۆدەبنەوە: [نزیکەکەت وەک خۆت خۆشبوێت.]

For these, “Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet,” and every other commandment, are summed up in this precept, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

10 خۆشەویستی خراپە لەگەڵ نزیکەکەی ناکات، بۆیە خۆشەویستی هێنانەدیی شەریعەتە.

Love worketh no ill to one's neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.

11 جگە لەوەش کاتەکە دەزانن، وا کاتی ئەوەیە لە خەو هەستن، چونکە ئێستا ڕزگاریمان نزیکترە لەو کاتەی باوەڕمان هێنا.

And this, since we know the time, that it is already high time for us to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we became believers.

12 شەو لە تەواوبوونە، وا ڕۆژ هەڵدێت. با کرداری تاریکی دابکەنین و چەکی ڕووناکی لەبەر بکەین.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us then throw off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light.

13 با بەڕێزەوە ڕەفتار بکەین وەک چۆن لە ڕۆژدا ڕەفتار دەکرێت، نەک لە ڕابواردن و سەرخۆشی، داوێنپیسی و بەڕەڵایی، ناکۆکی و ئیرەیی.

Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in lewdness and wantonness, not in strife and envy;

14 بەڵکو عیسای مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ لەبەر بکەن، بیر لە تێرکردنی ئارەزووەکانی سروشتی دنیایی مەکەنەوە.

but clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and think not about satisfying the lusts of the flesh.
