پەندەکانی سلێمان 5

1 ڕۆڵە، سەرنج بدە داناییم، گوێ بۆ تێگەیشتنم شل بکە،

My son, attend unto my wisdom; incline thine ear to my understanding;

2 تاکو سەلیقەت بپارێزیت و لێوەکانت ئاگایان لە زانیاری بێت،

That thou mayest preserve discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

3 چونکە لێوەکانی ژنی داوێنپیس هەنگوینیان لێ دەتکێت، قسەی لە ڕۆن لووسترە.

For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;

4 بەڵام کۆتاییەکەی وەک زەقنەبووت تاڵە، وەک شمشێری دوو دەم تیژە.

But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 پێیەکانی بەرەو خوار دەبنەوە بۆ مردن، هەنگاوەکانی پەیوەستن بە جیهانی مردووانەوە. (Sheol h7585)

Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on the nether-world; (Sheol h7585)

6 سەرنج ناداتە ڕێچکەی ژیان، هەنگاوەکانی خوارە بەڵام ئەو نازانێت.

Lest she should walk the even path of life, her ways wander, but she knoweth it not.

7 ئەی کوڕینە، ئێستاش گوێم لێ بگرن، لە قسەی دەمم خۆتان لامەدەن.

Now therefore, O ye children, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

8 ڕێگای خۆتی لێ دووربخەوە، لە دەرگای ماڵەکەی نزیک مەبەوە،

Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house;

9 نەوەک شکۆمەندیت بە خەڵکی دیکە بدەیت و ساڵانی تەمەنت بە کەسی دڵڕەق،

Lest thou give thy vigour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel;

10 نەوەک بێگانەکان لە توانات تێر بن و بەری ماندووبوونت بۆ ماڵی نامۆیەک بڕوات.

Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in the house of an alien;

11 لە کۆتایی ژیانتدا دەناڵێنیت، کاتێک گۆشت و جەستەت لەناودەچێت.

And thou moan, when thine end cometh, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

12 دەڵێیت: «چۆن ڕقم لە تەمبێکردن دەبووەوە، دڵم گاڵتەی بە سەرزەنشت دەهات.

And say: 'How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

13 گوێڕایەڵی ئەوانە نەبووم کە ڕێنماییان دەکردم و گوێم بۆ مامۆستاکانم شل نەکرد.

Neither have I hearkened to the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

14 کەمێکی مابوو بکەومە ناو هەموو خراپەیەکەوە، لەناو کۆڕ و کۆمەڵدا.»

I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.'

15 لە ئەمباراوی خۆت ئاو بخۆوە، لە ئاوی هەڵقوڵاوی بیرەکەت.

Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

16 ئایا کانییەکانت بڕژێتە سەر شەقامەکان، جۆگەی ئاو بێت لە گۆڕەپانەکان؟

Let thy springs be dispersed abroad, and courses of water in the streets.

17 با تەنها بۆ تۆ بێت، بێگانەت لەگەڵدا نەبێت.

Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.

18 با کانیاوەکەت بەرەکەتدار بێت، بە هاوسەری گەنجییەتیت دڵخۆش بە.

Let thy fountain be blessed; and have joy of the wife of thy youth.

19 ئاسکێکی خۆشەویست و مامزێکی شۆخ و شەنگ، با هەموو کاتێک مەمکەکانی تێرت بکەن، بە خۆشەویستی ئەو هەمیشە وێڵ بیت.

A lovely hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; with her love be thou ravished always.

20 کوڕی خۆم، ئیتر بۆچی وێڵی ژنی بەدڕەوشت دەبیت؟ بۆچی ژنی داوێنپیس لە باوەش دەگریت؟

Why then wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of an alien?

21 ڕێگاکانی مرۆڤ لەبەرچاوی یەزدانە، هەموو ڕێڕەوەکانی هەڵدەسەنگێنێت.

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He maketh even all his paths.

22 بەدکار بە تاوانەکانی خۆیەوە پێوەبوو، بە داوی گوناهەکانی خۆیەوە دەبێت.

His own iniquities shall ensnare the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.

23 لەبەر نەبوونی تەمبێکردن دەمرێت، لەبەر زۆری دەبەنگییەکەی سەرگەردان دەبێت.

He shall die for lack of instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall reel.
