پەندەکانی سلێمان 2

1 ڕۆڵە، ئەگەر قسەکانم وەربگریت، فەرمانەکانم لەلای خۆت هەڵبگریت،

My son, if thou receivest my words, and layest up my commandments with thee,

2 هەتا گوێ بدەیتە دانایی و دڵت بدەیتە تێگەیشتن،

so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom [and] thou apply thy heart to understanding;

3 ئەگەر بانگی پەیبردن بکەیت و دەنگ بۆ تێگەیشتن هەڵبڕیت،

yea, if thou criest after discernment [and] liftest up thy voice to understanding;

4 ئەگەر وەک زیو داوات کرد و وەک خشڵی شاردراوە بەدوایدا گەڕایت،

if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hidden treasures:

5 ئەوسا لە واتای لەخواترسی دەگەیت و ناسینی خودا دەدۆزیتەوە،

then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, and find the knowledge of God.

6 چونکە یەزدان دانایی دەبەخشێت، زانیاری و تێگەیشتنیش لە دەمی ئەوە.

For Jehovah giveth wisdom; out of his mouth [come] knowledge and understanding.

7 دانایی تەواو بۆ سەرڕاستەکان هەڵدەگرێت و قەڵغانە بۆ ئەوانەی ڕێگای تەواوەتی دەگرنەبەر،

He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; [he] is a shield to them that walk in integrity;

8 بۆ چاودێری ڕێچکەی دادپەروەری و پاراستنی ڕێگای خۆشەویستانی.

guarding the paths of just judgment and keeping the way of his godly ones.

9 ئینجا ڕاستودروستی و دادپەروەری و ڕاستەڕێیی تێدەگەیت، هەموو ڕێڕەوێکی چاک،

Then shalt thou understand righteousness and judgment and equity: every good path.

10 لەبەر ئەوەی دانایی دێتە ناو دڵتەوە و زانیاریش دەبێتە خۆشی دەروونت،

When wisdom entereth into thy heart and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul,

11 سەلیقە دەتپارێزێت و تێگەیشتن چاودێریت دەکات.

discretion shall keep thee, understanding shall preserve thee:

12 دانایی لە ڕێگای خراپەکاران ڕزگارت دەکات، لەو کەسانەی قسەی خوار دەکەن،

To deliver thee from the way of evil, from the man that speaketh froward things;

13 ئەوانەی ڕێچکەی ڕاستیان بەرداوە تاکو بە ڕێگای تاریکیدا بڕۆن،

[from those] who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

14 ئەوانەی دڵخۆشن بە خراپەکردن، دڵشاد دەبن بە خواروخێچیێتی خراپە،

who rejoice to do evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of evil;

15 ئەوانەی ڕێچکەکانیان چەوتن، گەوجن لە ڕێڕەویان.

whose paths are crooked, and who are perverted in their course:

16 هەروەها دانایی لە ژنی بەدڕەوشت ڕزگارت دەکات، لە ژنی داوێنپیسی زمانلووس،

To deliver thee from the strange woman, from the stranger who flattereth with her words;

17 ئەوەی وازی لە مێردی گەنجییەتی هێناوە و پەیمانەکەی لەبەردەم خودای لەبیر کردووە.

who forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God;

18 بێگومان ماڵەکەی بەرەو خوارەوە دەچێت بۆ مردن و ڕێڕەوەکانی بەرەو دنیای مردووانە.

— for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead;

19 هەموو ئەوانەی بچنە لای ناگەڕێنەوە و ناگەنە ڕێچکەی ژیان.

none that go unto her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life:

20 کەواتە بە ڕێگای پیاوچاکاندا بڕۆ و ڕێچکەی ڕاستودروستان بپارێزە،

— that thou mayest walk in the way of the good, and keep the paths of the righteous.

21 چونکە سەرڕاستان لە خاکەکە نیشتەجێ دەبن و تەواوەکان تێیدا دەمێننەوە،

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it;

22 بەڵام خراپەکاران لە خاکەکە دەبڕێنەوە و ناپاکانیش تێیدا ڕیشەکێش دەکرێن.

but the wicked shall be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful shall be plucked up out of it.
