پەندەکانی سلێمان 16

1 پلانەکانی دڵ هی مرۆڤە، بەڵام وەڵامدانەوەی زمان لە یەزدانەوەیە.

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the reply of the tongue is from the LORD.

2 هەموو ڕێگاکانی مرۆڤ لەبەرچاوی خۆی بێگەردن، بەڵام یەزدان پاڵنەرەکان هەڵدەسەنگێنێت.

All a man’s ways are pure in his own eyes, but his motives are weighed out by the LORD.

3 کارەکانت بە یەزدان بسپێرە، پلانەکانت جێگیر دەبێت.

Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.

4 یەزدان بۆ مەبەستی خۆی هەموو شتێکی دروستکردووە، تەنانەت بەدکاریش بۆ ڕۆژی بەڵا.

The LORD has made everything for His purpose— even the wicked for the day of disaster.

5 یەزدان قێزی لە هەموو دڵ بەفیزێکە، بێگومان سزادانی لەسەر تێناپەڕێت.

Everyone who is proud in heart is detestable to the LORD; be assured that he will not go unpunished.

6 بە خۆشەویستی نەگۆڕ و دڵسۆزی کەفارەت بۆ تاوان دەکرێت، بە لەخواترسیش دوورکەوتنەوە لە خراپە.

By loving devotion and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns aside from evil.

7 ئەگەر ڕەفتاری مرۆڤ مایەی ڕەزامەندی یەزدان بێت، وا دەکات تەنانەت دوژمنەکانیشی لەگەڵیدا ئاشت ببنەوە.

When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even the man’s enemies live at peace with him.

8 باشترە کەمت هەبێت بە ڕاستودروستییەوە لەوەی داهاتێکی زۆری بە ناڕەوا.

Better a little with righteousness than great gain with injustice.

9 دڵی مرۆڤ پلان بۆ ڕێگای خۆی دادەنێت، بەڵام یەزدان هەنگاوەکانی ئاراستە دەکات.

A man’s heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

10 قسەی پاشا وەک سروشە، دەبێ لە دادوەریدا دەمی ناپاکی نەکات.

A divine verdict is on the lips of a king; his mouth must not betray justice.

11 قەپان و تەرازووی دادپەروەر لە یەزدانەوەیە، هەموو کێشێکی ناو کیسە کاری ئەوە.

Honest scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are His concern.

12 قێزی پاشایان لە خراپەکردنە، چونکە بە ڕاستودروستی تەخت دەچەسپێت.

Wicked behavior is detestable to kings, for a throne is established through righteousness.

13 ڕەزامەندی پاشایان لێوی ڕاستودروستە، کەسی ڕاستگۆیان خۆشدەوێت.

Righteous lips are a king’s delight, and he who speaks honestly is beloved.

14 تووڕەیی پاشا وەک فریشتەی مەرگە، بەڵام کەسی دانا هێمنی دەکاتەوە.

The wrath of a king is a messenger of death, but a wise man will pacify it.

15 ڕووناکی ڕووی پاشا ژیانی تێدایە، ڕەزامەندیشی وەک هەورە بارانی بەهارە.

When a king’s face brightens, there is life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring.

16 دەستکەوتنی دانایی چەند لە زێڕ باشترە، دەستکەوتنی تێگەیشتنیش لە زیو پەسەندترە.

How much better to acquire wisdom than gold! To gain understanding is more desirable than silver.

17 ڕێگای سەرڕاستان دوورکەوتنەوەیە لە خراپە، ئەوەی ڕێگای خۆی بپارێزێت گیانی خۆی دەپارێزێت.

The highway of the upright leads away from evil; he who guards his way protects his life.

18 لەپێش شکان لووتبەرزییە، لەپێش ڕووخانیش ڕۆحزلییە.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

19 باشترە بێفیز بیت و لەگەڵ ستەملێکراوان بیت، لە دابەشکردنی دەستکەوت لەگەڵ لووتبەرزان.

It is better to be lowly in spirit among the humble than to divide the spoil with the proud.

20 ئەوەی بایەخ بە ئامۆژگاری بدات چاکەی دەست دەکەوێت، ئەوەی پشت بە یەزدان ببەستێت خۆزگەی پێ دەخوازرێت.

Whoever heeds instruction will find success, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.

21 ئەوەی لە دڵدا دانا بێت پێی دەگوترێت تێگەیشتوو، شیرینی لێوەکانیش فێربوون زیاد دەکات.

The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant speech promotes instruction.

22 وریایی سەرچاوەی ژیانە بۆ خاوەنەکەی، بەڵام گێلەکان بە گێلایەتی خۆیان سزا دەدرێن.

Understanding is a fountain of life to its possessor, but the discipline of fools is folly.

23 دڵی کەسی دانا ڕێنمایی دەمی دەکات و بەسەر لێوان فێربوون زیاد دەکات.

The heart of the wise man instructs his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips.

24 قسەی جوان شانەی هەنگوینە، بۆ دەروون شیرینە و بۆ ئێسک چاکبوونەوەیە.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

25 ڕێگا هەیە لەبەرچاوی مرۆڤ ڕاست دیارە، بەڵام کۆتاییەکەی بەرەو مردنە.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

26 نەوسی کرێکار بۆ خۆی ڕەنج دەدات، برسیێتییەکەی پاڵی پێوەدەنێت.

A worker’s appetite works for him because his hunger drives him onward.

27 کەسی دڵڕەش کای کۆن بە با دەکات و لەسەر لێوەکانیشی ئاگری کڵپەدارن.

A worthless man digs up evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire.

28 کەسی درۆزن دووبەرەکی دەوروژێنێت و دەمشڕ دۆستی نزیک لە یەکتر جیا دەکاتەوە.

A perverse man spreads dissension, and a gossip divides close friends.

29 کەسی توندڕەو دراوسێی خۆی تەفرە دەدات و بە ڕێگایەکدا دەیبات کە باش نییە.

A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him down a path that is not good.

30 ئەوەی چاو دەقوچێنێت پیلان بۆ درۆ دادەڕێژێت، ئەوەی لێوی دەکرۆژێت خراپە بە ئەنجام دەگەیەنێت.

He who winks his eye devises perversity; he who purses his lips is bent on evil.

31 ڕیش سپیێتی تاجی شانازییە، لە ڕێگای ڕاستودروستییەوە دەستدەکەوێت.

Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is attained along the path of righteousness.

32 ئەوەی درەنگ تووڕە بێت لە پاڵەوان باشترە، ئەوەی بەسەر خۆیدا زاڵ بێت باشترە لەوەی شارێک دەگرێت.

He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, and he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city.

33 تیروپشک هەڵدەدرێتە کۆش، بەڵام هەموو بڕیارێکی لەلایەن یەزدانەوەیە.

The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
