| سروشێک سەبارەت بە نەینەوا، پەڕتووکی بینینەکەی ناحومی ئەلقۆشی: | 1 |
A message about Nineveh, a vision which came to Nahum from Elkosh.
| یەزدان خودایەکی ئیرەدار و تۆڵەسێنەرە، یەزدان تۆڵەسێنەر و زۆر تووڕەیە. یەزدان تۆڵەسێنەرە لە ناحەزانی و هەڵچوونی لە دژی دوژمنانی بەردەوامە. | 2 |
The Lord tolerates no rivals. The Lord is vengeful and fierce in wrath. The Lord does not fail to punish his foes; the Lord is vengeful against his enemies.
| یەزدان پشوودرێژە و توانای مەزنە، بەڵام چاو لە گوناه ناپۆشێت. ڕێگای یەزدان لەناو گەردەلوول و ڕەشەبادایە، هەور تۆزی پێیەکانیەتی. | 3 |
The Lord is slow to anger, great in power. The guilty will not escape his punishment. Storm tempest is his path and cloud is the dust of his feet.
| دەریا سەرزەنشت دەکات و وشکی دەکات، هەموو ڕووبارەکان بێ ئاو دەکات. باشان و کارمەل سیس دەکات، خونچەی لوبنان سیس دەبێت. | 4 |
He rebukes the sea and dries it up and makes all the streams run dry. Bashan and Carmel are languishing and the bloom of Lebanon is withered.
| چیاکان لەبەر ئەو دەلەرزن و گردەکان دەتوێنەوە. زەوی لە ئامادەبوونی ئەو دەهەژێت، جیهان و هەموو دانیشتووانەکەی. | 5 |
The mountains tremble before him and the hills dissolve. The earth heaves before him, the world and all who live in it.
| کێ لەبەردەم تووڕەیی ئەو خۆی ڕادەگرێت؟ کێ بەرگەی جۆشی تووڕەیی ئەو دەگرێت؟ هەڵچوونی وەک ئاگر دەڕژێت و تاشەبەردەکان لەبەردەمی دەشکێن. | 6 |
Who can stand before his wrath? Who can withstand the heat of his anger? His fierce fury pours forth like fire, he shatters rocks.
| یەزدان چاکە، لە ڕۆژی تەنگانە قەڵایە. بایەخ بەوانە دەدات کە پشتی پێ دەبەستن، | 7 |
The Lord is good to those who hope in him, a place of refuge in the day of trouble.
| بەڵام بە تۆفانێکی گەورە بە تەواوی کۆتایی بە نەینەوا دەهێنێت، دوژمنەکانی بەرەو تاریکی ڕاودەنێت. | 8 |
With rushing flood an end he makes of those who rise against him, he drives his enemies into darkness.
| بیر لە چی دەکەنەوە لە دژی یەزدان؟ ئەو کۆتایی پێدەهێنێت، کارەسات دوو جار بەرپا نابێت. | 9 |
Why do you plot against the Lord? He will end you. He only takes vengeance once.
| ئەوان وەک دڕک لێک دەئاڵێن، بە شەرابەکەیان سەرخۆش دەبن، هەموویان وەک کای وشک دەسووتێن. | 10 |
Thorns, tangled and drenched, they are consumed like dry stubble.
| ئەی نەینەوا، یەکێک لە تۆوە دەردەکەوێت، ئەوەی بیر لە خراپە دەکاتەوە لە دژی یەزدان، ڕاوێژکاری بەدکارییە. | 11 |
Nineveh! From you has arisen one who plots evil against the Lord, a counsellor of wickedness.
| یەزدان ئەمە دەفەرموێت: «هەرچەندە بەهێز و زۆریشن، بەڵام دەبڕێنەوە و بەسەردەچن. ئەی یەهودا، هەرچەندە زەلیلم کردیت بەڵام ئیتر زەلیلت ناکەم. | 12 |
The Lord says: “Though they are many and strong, they will pass away and be gone. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more,
| ئێستاش ئەو نیرەی کە لەسەر تۆی دایانناوە دەیشکێنم، کۆتەکانت لێ دەکەمەوە.» | 13 |
and now I will break his yoke from your necks and snap your chains.”
| ئەی نەینەوا، یەزدان سەبارەت بە تۆ فەرمانی داوە: «هیچ نەوەیەک نامێنێت ناوی تۆی هەڵگرتبێت. بتە داتاشراو و لەقاڵبدراوەکان لە پەرستگای خوداوەندەکانت ڕیشەکێش دەکەم. گۆڕت بۆ هەڵدەکەنم، چونکە تۆ شایانی ژیان نیت.» | 14 |
The Lord has given this command concerning you, Nineveh: “Your name will no longer be remembered. I will destroy every idol and image in the house of your God. I will destroy even your tomb, for you are worthless.”
| ئەوەتا لەسەر چیاکانە پێیەکانی مزگێنیدەر، ئاشتی ڕادەگەیەنێت! ئەی یەهودا، جەژنەکانت بگێڕە، نەزرەکانت بەجێبهێنە، ئیتر بەدکاران داگیرت ناکەن، بەڵکو بە تەواوی بنبڕ دەبن. | 15 |
Look! On the mountains a messenger bringing good news, announcing peace! “Celebrate the feasts, Judah, fulfill your vows. Never again will these enemies invade your land, they are destroyed!”
