| لەدوای لەدایکبوونی عیسا لە بێت‌لەحمی یەهودیا، لە سەردەمی هێرۆدسی پاشا، هەندێک مۆغ لە ڕۆژهەڵاتەوە هاتنە ئۆرشەلیم، | 1 |
Now, when, Jesus, was born in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, lo! wise men from eastern parts, came into Jerusalem:
| پرسییان: «پاشای لەدایکبووی جولەکە لەکوێیە؟ لە ڕۆژهەڵاتەوە ئەستێرەی ئەومان بینی، هاتووین کڕنۆشی بۆ ببەین.» | 2 |
saying—Where is he that hath been born king of the Jews? for we saw his star in the east, and have come to bow down to him.
| کاتێک هێرۆدسی پاشا ئەمەی بیست، پەشۆکا و هەموو خەڵکی ئۆرشەلیم لەگەڵی پەشۆکان. | 3 |
But, when King Herod heard, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him;
| هەموو کاهینانی باڵا و مامۆستایانی تەوراتی گەلی کۆکردەوە، لێی پرسین: «مەسیح لەکوێ لە دایک دەبێت؟» | 4 |
and, assembling all the high-priests and scribes of the people, he was enquiring of them—Where is, the Christ, to be born?
| وەڵامیان دایەوە: «لە بێت‌لەحمی یەهودیا، چونکە لە ڕێی پێغەمبەرەکەوە ئاوا نووسراوە: | 5 |
And, they, said to him, In Bethlehem of Judaea, —for, so, is it written through the prophet:
| «[بەڵام تۆ ئەی بێت‌لەحمی خاکی یەهودا، کەمتر نیت لە شارۆچکەکانی دیکەی یەهودا، چونکە لە تۆوە فەرمانڕەوایەک دەردەکەوێت، شوانایەتی گەلی ئیسرائیلم دەکات.]» | 6 |
And, thou, Bethlehem, land of Judah, by no means least, art thou, among the governors of Judah, —For, out of thee, shall one come forth to govern, Who shall shepherd my people Israel.
| دوای ئەمە هێرۆدس بە نهێنی مۆغەکانی بانگکرد و لەبارەی کاتی دەرکەوتنی ئەستێرەکە لێکۆڵینەوەی لەگەڵ کردن. | 7 |
Then Herod, privately, calling the wise men, ascertained from them the time of the appearing star;
| ئینجا بۆ بێت‌لەحمی ناردن و پێی گوتن: «بڕۆن و بە وردی بەدوای منداڵەکەدا بگەڕێن. کاتێک دۆزیتانەوە هەواڵم بدەنێ، تاکو منیش بێم و کڕنۆشی بۆ ببەم.» | 8 |
and sending them to Bethlehem, said—Go search out accurately concerning the child, —and, as soon as ye find it, bring report unto me, that, I also, may come and bow myself down to it.
| لەدوای ئەوەی گوێبیستی پاشا بوون، ڕۆیشتن، هەمان ئەو ئەستێرەیەی کە لە ڕۆژهەڵات بینیبوویان، پێشیان کەوت و هات و لەسەر ئەو شوێنە ڕاوەستا کە منداڵەکەی لێبوو. | 9 |
Now, they, hearing the king, went, and lo! the star which they had seen in the east, was going before them, until it went and stood over where the child was;
| کاتێک ئەستێرەکەیان بینی، زۆر شادمان بوون، | 10 |
and, seeing the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy;
| چوونە ماڵەکە، منداڵەکەیان لەگەڵ مریەمی دایکی بینی، دانەوینەوە و کڕنۆشیان بۆ برد و سندوقی گەنجینەکانیان کردەوە، زێڕ و بخوور و موڕیان بە دیاری پێشکەش کرد. | 11 |
and, coming into the house, they saw the child, with Mary its mother, —and, falling down, prostrated themselves unto it, and, opening their treasures, offered unto it gifts—gold and frankincense and myrrh;
| ئینجا خودا لە خەوندا مۆغەکانی ئاگادار کردەوە کە نەگەڕێنەوە لای هێرۆدس، ئەوانیش بە ڕێگایەکی دیکەدا گەڕانەوە وڵاتی خۆیان. | 12 |
and, being instructed by dream, not to return unto Herod, by another way, retired they unto their own country.
| دوای ڕۆیشتنی مۆغەکان، فریشتەیەکی یەزدان هاتە خەونی یوسف و گوتی: «هەستە منداڵەکە و دایکی ببە و ڕابکە بۆ میسر. لەوێ بمێنەوە هەتا پێت دەڵێم، چونکە هێرۆدس وا بە شوێن منداڵەکەدا دەگەڕێت، بۆ ئەوەی بیکوژێت.» | 13 |
Now, when they had retired, lo! a messenger of the Lord, appeareth by dream unto Joseph, saying, Arise, take unto thee the child and its mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there, until I tell thee, —for Herod is about to seek the child, to destroy it.
| یوسفیش هەستا و لە شەودا منداڵەکە و دایکی برد و بەرەو میسر ڕۆیشت، | 14 |
And, he, arising, took unto him the child and its mother, by night, and retired into Egypt;
| هەتا مردنی هێرۆدس لەوێ مایەوە، تاوەکو ئەوەی یەزدان لە ڕێگەی پێغەمبەرەکەوە فەرموویەتی بێتە دی، کە دەفەرموێ: [من کوڕی خۆمم لە میسر بانگ کرد.] | 15 |
and was there, until the death of Herod, —that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt, called I my son.
| کاتێک هێرۆدس زانی مۆغەکان فریویان داوە، زۆر تووڕە بوو. بەگوێرەی ئەو کاتەی لە مۆغەکانەوە لێی کۆڵیبووەوە، ناردی و هەموو کوڕێکی تەمەن دوو ساڵ بەرەو خواری لە بێت‌لەحم و دەوروبەری کوشت. | 16 |
Then Herod, seeing that he had been mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly enraged, —and sent and slew all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all its bounds, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the wise men.
| ئینجا ئەوەی لە ڕێگەی پێغەمبەر یەرمیا گوترابوو هاتە دی: | 17 |
Then was fulfilled, that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying:
| [دەنگێک لە ڕامەوە بیسترا، گریان و شیوەنێکی گەورە، ڕاحێل بۆ منداڵەکانی دەگریێت، ڕازی نییە دڵنەوایی بکرێت، چونکە نەماون.] | 18 |
A voice, in Ramah, was heard, weeping and great mourning, —Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, —because they are not.
| کاتێک هێرۆدس مرد، فریشتەیەکی یەزدان لە میسر هاتە خەونی یوسف و | 19 |
But, when Herod was, dead, lo! a messenger of the Lord, appeareth by dream unto Joseph in Egypt;
| گوتی: «هەستە، منداڵەکە و دایکی ببە و بڕۆ بۆ خاکی ئیسرائیل، چونکە ئەوانەی دەیانویست منداڵەکە بکوژن، مردن.» | 20 |
saying—Arise! and take unto thee the child and its mother, and be journeying into the land of Israel, —for they are dead, who were seeking the life of the child.
| یوسفیش هەستا، منداڵەکە و دایکی برد و گەڕایەوە خاکی ئیسرائیل. | 21 |
And, he, arising, took unto him the child and its mother, and entered into the land of Israel.
| بەڵام کاتێک بیستی ئەرخیلاوس لە یەهودیا لە جێی هێرۆدسی باوکی فەرمانڕەوایە، ترسا بچێتە ئەوێ. دوای ئەوەی لە خەوندا ئاگادار کرایەوە، گەڕایەوە ناوچەی جەلیل. | 22 |
Hearing, however, that, Archelaus, was reigning over Judaea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid, thither, to go, —and so, being instructed by dream, he retired into the parts of Galilee;
| جا هات و لە شارۆچکەیەک نیشتەجێ بوو بە ناوی ناسیرە، بۆ ئەوەی ئەو فەرمایشتەی لە ڕێگەی پێغەمبەرانەوە گوترابوو بێتە دی: [بە ناسیرەیی ناودەبردرێت.] | 23 |
and came and fixed his dwelling in a city called Nazareth, —that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets—A Nazarene, shall he be called.
