| جەژنی فەتیرە کە پێی دەگوترا پەسخە نزیک ببووەوە. | 1 |
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the passover.
| کاهینانی باڵا و مامۆستایانی تەورات لە گەل دەترسان و بۆ ڕێگایەک دەگەڕان کە عیسای پێ لەناوبەرن. | 2 |
And the chief priests and scribes were consulting how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people.
| شەیتان چووە ناو یەهوزاوە، کە پێی دەگوترا ئەسخەریوتی و یەکێک بوو لە دوازدە قوتابییەکە. | 3 |
Then entred Satan into Judas who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve.
| ئەو ڕۆیشت و قسەی لەگەڵ کاهینانی باڵا و فەرماندەکانی پەرستگا کرد کە چۆن عیسایان ڕادەست بکات. | 4 |
And he went and conferred with the chief priests and the captains, how he might betray Him unto them.
| دڵخۆش بوون و ڕێککەوتن بەوەی کیسە زیوی بدەنێ. | 5 |
And they were glad and agreed to give him money:
| ئەویش بەمە ڕازی بوو و بەدوای هەلێکدا دەگەڕا تاکو عیسا بداتە دەستیان، کاتێک کە خەڵکیان لەگەڵ نەبێت. | 6 |
and he accepted the terms, and sought an opportunity to betray Him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
| ڕۆژی فەتیرە هات، ئەوەی پێویست بوو بەرخی پەسخەی تێدا بکرێتە قوربانی. | 7 |
The day of unleavened bread being come, on which the paschal-lamb was to be slain,
| عیسا پەترۆس و یۆحەنای نارد و فەرمووی: «بڕۆن نانی پەسخەمان بۆ ئامادە بکەن تاکو بیخۆین.» | 8 |
Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat of it.
| لێیان پرسی: «دەتەوێ لەکوێ ئامادەی بکەین؟» | 9 |
And they said unto Him, Where wouldst thou have us prepare it?
| پێی فەرموون: «کاتێک دەچنە ناو شار، تووشی پیاوێک دەبن گۆزەیەک ئاوی هەڵگرتووە، دوای بکەون بۆ ئەو ماڵەی کە بۆی دەچێت. | 10 |
And He said unto them, Behold, when ye are come into the city, there shall meet you a man, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he entreth:
| ئینجا بە خاوەن ماڵەکە بڵێن:”مامۆستا دەفەرموێت: کوا دیوەخانەکە تاکو لەگەڵ قوتابییەکانم نانی پەسخەی تێدا بخۆم؟“ | 11 |
and say to the master of the house, Our Master inquireth by us, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?
| ئەویش لە نهۆمی سەرەوە ژوورێکتان پیشان دەدات، گەورەیە و ڕاخراوە، لەوێ ئامادەی بکەن.» | 12 |
And he will shew you a large upper room set out; there make it ready.
| جا ڕۆیشتن، هەموو شتێکیان دۆزییەوە، هەروەک عیسا پێی فەرمووبوون. ئینجا نانی پەسخەیان ئامادە کرد. | 13 |
And they went and found as He had told them; and prepared the passover.
| کە کاتی نانخواردن هات، عیسا لەسەر خوان دانیشت، نێردراوانیش لەگەڵی بوون. | 14 |
And when the hour was come, He sat down and the twelve apostles with Him.
| پێی فەرموون: «زۆر ئارەزووم کرد پێش ئازار چێژتنم ئەم نانەی پەسخەتان لەگەڵ بخۆم، | 15 |
And He said unto them, I have earnestly desired to eat of this passover with you before I suffer:
| چونکە پێتان دەڵێم: ئیتر نانی پەسخە ناخۆم هەتا لە شانشینی خودا بە تەواویی دێتە دی.» | 16 |
for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God.
| جامێکی هەڵگرت و سوپاسی خودای کرد، فەرمووی: «ئەمە بگرن و لەنێوان خۆتان بەشی بکەن. | 17 |
And taking the cup He gave thanks and said, Take this and distribute it among yourselves.
| پێتان دەڵێم: ئیتر لە بەرهەمی مێو ناخۆمەوە هەتا شانشینی خودا دێت!» | 18 |
For I tell you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come.
| نانێکی هەڵگرت، سوپاسی خودای کرد و لەتی کرد، پێیدان و فەرمووی: «ئەمە جەستەی منە، کە لە پێناوی ئێوە بەخت دەکرێ. ئەمە بۆ یادکردنەوەی من بکەن.» | 19 |
And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me:
| بە هەمان شێوە پاش نانخواردن، جامەکەی هەڵگرت و فەرمووی: «ئەم جامە پەیمانی نوێیە بە خوێنی من، کە لە پێناوی ئێوە دەڕژێت. | 20 |
as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.
| بەڵام ئەو دەستەی کە بە گرتنم دەدات لەگەڵ من لەسەر خوانە. | 21 |
And yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is at table with me:
| کوڕی مرۆڤ بەگوێرەی ئەوەی بۆی دانراوە دەڕوات، بەڵام قوڕبەسەر ئەوەی ناپاکی لێدەکات.» | 22 |
and the Son of man is going indeed as was determined; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed.
| ئیتر لەناو خۆیان کەوتنە مشتومڕ، ئاخۆ کامیان خەریکە ئەمە بکات. | 23 |
And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do it.
| هەروەها دەمەقاڵەیەک کەوتە نێوانیان، لەسەر ئەوەی کە کامیان پایەبەرزترە. | 24 |
And there was also a dispute among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest:
| عیسا پێی فەرموون: «پاشایانی نەتەوەکانی دیکە فەرمانڕەواییان بەسەردا دەکەن و دەسەڵاتدارانیش بەسەریانەوە بە”چاکەکار“ناودەبردرێن. | 25 |
but He said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority are called benefactors.
| بەڵام ئێوە ئاوا مەبن. بەڵکو با پایەبەرز لەنێوتاندا ببێتە بچووک و ئەوەش کە ڕابەرایەتی دەکات وەک خزمەتکار بێت. | 26 |
But ye shall not do so: but let the greatest among you be as the younger; and he that presides as he that serveth.
| کێ پایەبەرزترە، ئەوەی لەسەر خوان دانیشتووە یان ئەوەی خزمەت دەکات؟ بێگومان ئەوەی کە لەسەر خوان دانیشتووە. بەڵام من لەنێوتان وەک ئەوەم کە خزمەت دەکات. | 27 |
For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at table? but I am among you as one that serveth.
| ئێوە ئەوانەن کە لە تاقیکردنەوەکانمدا لەگەڵم مانەوە. | 28 |
Ye have continued with me in my temptations;
| منیش شانشینێکتان بۆ دادەنێم، هەروەک باوکم بۆی داناوم، | 29 |
and I appoint you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me:
| تاکو لە شانشینەکەمدا لەسەر خوانەکەم بخۆن و بخۆنەوە، لەسەر تەخت دادەنیشن و دوازدە هۆزەکەی ئیسرائیل حوکم دەدەن. | 30 |
that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
| «شیمۆن، شیمۆن، شەیتان داوای کردوون تاقیتان بکاتەوە، وەک گەنم لە بێژنگتان بدات. | 31 |
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you my disciples, that he may sift you as wheat:
| بەڵام من نوێژم بۆ کردیت تاکو باوەڕت لەدەست نەدەیت. تۆش کە دەگەڕێیتەوە برایانت بەهێز بکە.» | 32 |
but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
| ئەویش پێی گوت: «گەورەم، من ئامادەم لەگەڵ تۆدا بۆ زیندان و بۆ مردنیش بچم.» | 33 |
And he said unto Him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death.
| کەچی عیسا فەرمووی: «پەترۆس پێت دەڵێم، ئەمڕۆ پێش خوێندنی کەڵەشێر، تۆ سێ جار نکۆڵی لە ناسینی من دەکەیت.» | 34 |
But He replied, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.
| ئینجا پێی فەرموون: «کاتێک ئێوەم بەبێ جزدان و توورەکە و پێڵاو نارد، ئایا پێویستتان بە هیچ بوو؟» گوتیان: «نەخێر.» | 35 |
And He said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, or bag, or shoes, did ye want any thing? and they said, Nothing.
| پێی فەرموون: «بەڵام ئێستا ئەوەی جزدان و توورەکەی هەیە با بیبات لەگەڵ خۆی. ئەوەش کە شمشێری نییە، با جلەکانی بفرۆشێت و شمشێر بکڕێت. | 36 |
Then said He unto them, But now let him, that hath a purse, take it, and his bag likewise; and let him that has no sword, sell his garment and buy one:
| من پێتان دەڵێم: ئەمەی نووسراوە: [لەگەڵ یاخیبووان ژمێردرا،] پێویستە لە مندا بێتە دی، چونکە ئەو شتانەی لەبارەی منەوە نووسراون دێنە دی.» | 37 |
for I tell you, that this which is written must yet be accomplished in me, "And He was numbered with transgressors," for the things foretold concerning me are near at an end.
| گوتیان: «گەورەم، ئەوەتا دوو شمشێر لێرەیە.» پێی فەرموون: «بەسە.» | 38 |
And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough.
| پاشان عیسا وەک جاران چوو بۆ کێوی زەیتوون، قوتابییەکانیش دوای کەوتن. | 39 |
And He came out and went, as He used to do, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed Him.
| کاتێک گەیشتە شوێنەکە، پێی فەرموون: «نوێژ بکەن، تاکو نەکەونە ناو تاقیکردنەوەوە.» | 40 |
And when He was at the place, He said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
| ئینجا نزیکەی بەردهاوێژێک لێیان دوورکەوتەوە، چۆکی دادا و نوێژی دەکرد. | 41 |
And when He was withdrawn from them about a stone's-cast, He kneeled down and prayed saying,
| فەرمووی: «باوکە، ئەگەر دەتەوێت ئەم جامەم لەسەر لاببە، بەڵام نەک بە خواستی من، بەڵکو بە خواستی خۆت بێت.» | 42 |
Father, if thou art willing take away this cup from me---nevertheless, not my will but thine be done.
| فریشتەیەکیش لە ئاسمانەوە بۆی دەرکەوت بەهێزی دەکرد. | 43 |
And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven strengthening Him.
| کە لە ململانێدا بوو، زۆر بە گوڕتر نوێژی دەکرد و ئارەقەکەی وەک دڵۆپی خوێنی لێهات دەکەوتە سەر زەوی. | 44 |
And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was like clotted blood falling down upon the ground.
| ئینجا لە نوێژەکە هەستا و هاتە لای قوتابییەکان، بینی لە خەمان خەویان لێ کەوتووە. | 45 |
And when He rose up from prayer, He came to his disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow;
| پێی فەرموون: «بۆچی خەوتوون؟ هەستن و نوێژ بکەن، تاکو نەکەونە ناو تاقیکردنەوەوە.» | 46 |
and He said to them, Why do ye sleep? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
| هێشتا ئەو قسەی دەکرد کۆمەڵێک پەیدابوون، ئەو کەسەش کە پێی دەگوترا یەهوزا و یەکێک بوو لە دوازدە قوتابییەکە پێشیان کەوتبوو، لە عیسا نزیک بووەوە تاکو ماچی بکات. | 47 |
And while He was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve apostles, came before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him:
| عیساش پێی فەرموو: «ئەی یەهوزا، بە ماچێک کوڕی مرۆڤ بە گرتن دەدەیت؟» | 48 |
and Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
| ئەوانەی دەوروپشتی کاتێک بینییان وا خەریکە شتێک ڕوودەدات، گوتیان: «گەورەم، شمشێر بوەشێنین؟» | 49 |
But when they that were about Him saw what would follow, they said to Him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
| جا یەکێکیان لە کۆیلەی سەرۆکی کاهینانی دا و گوێی ڕاستی بڕی. | 50 |
And one of them smote the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear:
| بەڵام عیسا فەرمووی: «ئیدی بەسە!» ئینجا دەستی لە گوێی دا و چاکیکردەوە. | 51 |
but Jesus said, Suffer ye thus far; and He touched his ear and healed him.
| پاشان عیسا بە کاهینانی باڵا و فەرماندەی پەرستگا و پیرانی فەرموو: «ئایا من کەسێکی یاخیبووم کە بە کوتەک و شمشێرەوە هاتوون بمگرن؟ | 52 |
Then said Jesus to the chief priests, and officers of the temple, and elders, that were come to Him, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and clubs?
| ڕۆژانە لە حەوشەکانی پەرستگا لەگەڵتان بووم دەستتان لێ نەدام. بەڵام ئەمە کاتی ئێوەیە، کاتی دەسەڵاتی تاریکییە.» | 53 |
When I was day after day with you in the temple, ye did not stretch out your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
| ئیتر گرتییان، بردیان و هێنایانە ماڵی سەرۆکی کاهینان. پەترۆسیش دووربەدوور دوای کەوت. | 54 |
Then they took Him and led Him away, and brought Him to the high priest's. And Peter followed at a distance.
| هەندێک کەس لەناوەڕاستی حەوشەکەدا ئاگریان کردبووەوە و پێکەوە دانیشتبوون، پەترۆسیش لەگەڵیان دانیشتبوو. | 55 |
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and sat down together, Peter also sat down among them:
| کارەکەرێک ئەوی بینی لەبەر ڕووناکی دانیشتووە، تێیڕوانی و گوتی: «ئەمەش لەگەڵی بوو.» | 56 |
and a servant-maid seeing him as he sat by the fire, and looking hard at him, said, This fellow was also with Him:
| بەڵام نکۆڵیی کرد و گوتی: «نەخێر خانم، نایناسم.» | 57 |
But he denied Him, saying, Woman, I do not know Him.
| دوای کەمێک، یەکێکی دیکە بینی و گوتی: «تۆش لەوانیت.» بەڵام پەترۆس گوتی: «نەخێر کاکە، من لەوان نیم.» | 58 |
And after a little while another person seeing him said, And thou art one of them: but Peter said, Man, I am not.
| دوای نزیکەی کاتژمێرێک، یەکێکی دیکە مکوڕ بوو و گوتی: «بەڕاستی ئەمەش لەگەڵی بوو، چونکە ئەمەش جەلیلییە.» | 59 |
And about an hour after, another confidently affirmed saying, In truth this fellow also was with Him; for he is a Galilean too: but Peter answered,
| بەڵام پەترۆس گوتی: «کاکە، نازانم چی دەڵێیت.» هەر لەو کاتەدا کە قسەی دەکرد، کەڵەشێر خوێندی. | 60 |
Man, I know not what thou sayst. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, the cock crew.
| مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆش ئاوڕی دایەوە و سەیری پەترۆسی کرد، ئینجا پەترۆس قسەکەی مەسیحی بیرکەوتەوە کە پێی فەرموو: «ئەمڕۆ پێش ئەوەی کەڵەشێر بخوێنێت، سێ جار نکۆڵیم لێ دەکەیت.» | 61 |
And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter; and Peter called to mind the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, Before the cock crow thou wilt deny me thrice.
| ئیتر چووە دەرەوە و بەکوڵ گریا. | 62 |
And Peter went out and wept bitterly.
| ئەوانەی عیسایان گرتبوو، دەستیان بە گاڵتە پێکردن و لێدانی کرد. | 63 |
And the men that laid hold on Jesus, insulted and abused Him;
| چاویان بەستبوو و لێیان دەپرسی: «ئەگەر پێغەمبەریت، بزانە! کێ بوو لێیدایت؟» | 64 |
and when they had blind-folded Him, they struck Him on the face, and asked Him, saying, Prophesy who it was that smote thee.
| زۆر کفری دیکەشیان لە دژی دەکرد. | 65 |
And many other things spake they against Him, blaspheming Him.
| کە ڕۆژبووەوە، ئەنجومەنی پیرانی گەل کۆبوونەوە، کاهینانی باڵا و مامۆستایانی تەورات عیسایان بانگ کردە ئەنجومەنەکەیان. | 66 |
And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people, and chief-priests, and scribes, assembled together, and ordered Him up into their council:
| پێیان گوت: «ئەگەر تۆ مەسیحەکەیت پێمان بڵێ.» ئەویش پێی فەرموون: «ئەگەر پێتانی بڵێم باوەڕ ناکەن. | 67 |
and said to Him, Art thou the Messiah? tell us. And He said unto them, If I should tell you, ye would not believe:
| ئەگەر لێشتان بپرسم وەڵام نادەنەوە. | 68 |
and if I should put any question to you, ye would not answer me, nor discharge me.
| بەڵام لە ئێستاوە کوڕی مرۆڤ [لە دەستەڕاستی خودای بە توانا دادەنیشێت.]» | 69 |
But hereafter shall the Son of man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.
| هەموو لێیان پرسی: «کەواتە تۆی کوڕی خودا؟» ئەویش پێی فەرموون: «ئێوە خۆتان دەڵێن کە من ئەوم.» | 70 |
And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God?
| ئینجا گوتیان: «ئیتر چ پێویستیمان بە شایەت هەیە؟ ئەوەتا لە دەمی خۆیەوە گوێمان لێبوو.» | 71 |
And He said unto them, I am. And they said, What need have we of any farther evidence? when we ourselves have it from his own mouth?
