| لەو ڕۆژانەدا لە ئۆگستۆس قەیسەرەوە فەرمانێک دەرچوو، کە هەموو دانیشتووانی ئیمپڕاتۆریەتیەکەی ناونووس بکرێت. | 1 |
And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be registered.
| ئەمە یەکەم ناونووسین بوو، کاتێک کیرینیۆس فەرمانڕەوای سوریا بوو. | 2 |
(This registering was the first made while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)
| ئیتر هەرکەس بۆ ناونووسین دەچووە شاری خۆی. | 3 |
And all went to be registered, each to his own city.
| یوسفیش لە جەلیل لە شاری ناسیرەوە بەرەو یەهودیا سەرکەوت بۆ شارەکەی داود کە پێی دەگوترێ بێت‌لەحم، چونکە لە بنەماڵە و تیرەی داود بوو، | 4 |
And Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Judaea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
| تاکو لەگەڵ مریەم ناونووس بکرێن کە دەستگیرانی بوو و سکی هەبوو. | 5 |
to be registered with Mary who had been betrothed to him, who was with child.
| کە لەوێ بوون، کاتی منداڵبوونی هات. | 6 |
And it came to pass, while they were there, that the days for her delivery were completed.
| جا کوڕە نۆبەرەکەی بوو، قۆنداغی کرد و لە ئاخوڕێکدا داینا، چونکە هیچ ژوورێکیان بۆ نوستن دەست نەکەوت. | 7 |
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swathing-clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
| لەو ناوچەیە شوان هەبوون لە دەشت دەمانەوە و شەوان ئێشکیان لە مێگەلەکەیان دەگرت. | 8 |
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, and keeping watch over their flock by night.
| فریشتەیەکی یەزدان بۆیان دەرکەوت و شکۆمەندی یەزدان لە دەوریان درەوشایەوە، بەمە ترسێکی زۆریان لێ نیشت. | 9 |
And an angel of the Lord came to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were in great fear.
| فریشتەکە پێی گوتن: «مەترسن، ئەوا مژدەی خۆشییەکی گەورەتان دەدەمێ کە بۆ هەموو گەلە. | 10 |
And the angel said to them, Fear not; for lo! I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to the whole people;
| ئەمڕۆ لە شاری داود ڕزگارکەرێکتان بۆ لەدایک بوو، ئەویش مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆیە. | 11 |
for to you hath been born this day, in the city of David, a Saviour, who is the Christ, the Lord.
| ئەمەش نیشانەیە بۆتان، مەلۆتکەیەک دەبینن لەناو ئاخوڕێک دانراوە.» | 12 |
And this shall be the sign to you: Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swathing-clothes, [[lying]] in a manger.
| لەناکاو لەگەڵ فریشتەکە لەشکرێکی گەورەی ئاسمانی دەرکەوت و ستایشی خودایان دەکرد و دەیانگوت: | 13 |
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
| «شکۆ بۆ خودا لە ئاسمان، لەسەر زەویش ئاشتی بۆ ئەوانەی جێی ڕەزامەندی ئەون.» | 14 |
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men of good will!”
| کاتێک فریشتەکان بەرەو ئاسمان بەجێیان هێشتن، شوانەکان بە یەکتریان گوت: «دەی با بڕۆینە بێت‌لەحم و ئەم شتەی ڕوویداوە بیبینین کە یەزدان پێی ڕاگەیاندین.» | 15 |
And it came to pass, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said one to another, Let us go at once to Bethlehem, and see that which hath come to pass, which the Lord hath made known to us.
| خێرا هاتن و مریەم و یوسف و ئەو مەلۆتکەیەی لە ئاخوڕەکەدا دانرابوو دۆزییانەوە. | 16 |
And they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger.
| کاتێک بینییان، ئەو قسەیەیان بڵاو کردەوە کە دەربارەی ئەم منداڵە پێیان گوترابوو. | 17 |
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad what had been told them concerning this child.
| هەموو ئەوانەی گوێیان لێبوو، سەریان سوڕمابوو لەوەی شوانەکان پێیان دەگوتن. | 18 |
And all who heard wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds.
| بەڵام مریەم هەموو ئەم شتانەی لە دڵی خۆیدا هەڵدەگرت و لێکی دەدایەوە. | 19 |
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
| شوانەکان گەڕانەوە و خودایان شکۆدار کرد و ستایشیان کرد لە پێناوی هەموو ئەوەی بیستیان و بینییان، بەو شێوەیەی پێیان گوترابوو. | 20 |
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all which they had heard and seen, as had been told them.
| لە ڕۆژی هەشتەم کاتی خەتەنەکردنی منداڵەکە هات، هەر ئەو کاتەش ناوی لێنرا عیسا، بەو شێوەیەی فریشتەکە ناوی لێنا، پێش ئەوەی مریەم سکی پڕبێت. | 21 |
And when eight days were completed for him to be circumcised, his name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
| پاشان یوسف و مریەم لەدوای تەواوبوونی ڕۆژانی پاکبوونەوە عیسایان بردە ئۆرشەلیم تاکو پێشکەشی یەزدانی بکەن، بەگوێرەی تەوراتی موسا، | 22 |
And when the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord,
| کە تەوراتی یەزدانە، هەروەک تێیدا نووسراوە: [هەر نێرینەیەکی نۆبەرە بۆ یەزدان تەرخان دەکرێت.] | 23 |
as it is written in the law of the Lord: “Every first-born male shall be called holy to the Lord,”
| بۆ پێشکەشکردنی قوربانییەکیش، بەگوێرەی ئەوەی لە تەوراتی یەزدان گوتراوە: [دوو کوکوختی یان دوو بێچووە کۆتر.] | 24 |
and to offer a sacrifice, according to what is directed in the law of the Lord: “A pair of turtle doves, or two young pigeons.”
| پیاوێکی چاک و لەخواترس بە ناوی شیمۆن لە ئۆرشەلیم هەبوو، چاوەڕێی هاتنی دڵنەواییکەری ئیسرائیل بوو، ڕۆحی پیرۆزی لەسەر بوو. | 25 |
And lo! there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and he was a righteous and devout man, waiting for the consolation of Israel. And the Holy Spirit was upon him;
| بە ڕۆحی پیرۆز بۆی ئاشکرا کرابوو کە نامرێت هەتا مەسیحی یەزدان نەبینێت. | 26 |
and it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord.
| بەهۆی ڕۆحی پیرۆزەوە هاتە حەوشەکانی پەرستگا. کاتێک دایک و باوکەکە عیسای منداڵیان هێنایە ژوورەوە، تاکو بەگوێرەی نەریتی تەوراتی بۆ بکەن، | 27 |
And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law,
| شیمۆن عیسای لە باوەشی گرت و ستایشی خودای کرد: | 28 |
he took him in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
| «ئەی یەزدانی باڵادەست، ئێستا بەگوێرەی قسەکەت بەندەی خۆت بە ئاشتی بەڕێبکە. | 29 |
Lord! now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word;
| ئەوا چاوم ڕزگاریی تۆی بینی، | 30 |
for mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
| ئەوەی لەبەردەم هەموو گەلان ئامادەت کردووە، | 31 |
which thou hast prepared before the face of all the peoples;
| هەتا ببێتە ڕووناکی بۆ ئاشکراکردنی سروشی تۆ بۆ نەتەوەکان و ببێتە مایەی شکۆمەندی بۆ ئیسرائیلی گەلەکەت.» | 32 |
a light to enlighten the gentiles, and to be the glory of thy people Israel.
| دایک و باوکی سەرسام بوون لەوەی دەربارەی گوترا. | 33 |
And his father and his mother marveled at what was spoken concerning him.
| شیمۆن داوای بەرەکەتی بۆ کردن و بە مریەمی دایکی گوت: «ئا ئەم منداڵە دەبێتە هۆی کەوتن و هەستانەوەی کەسانێکی زۆر لە ئیسرائیل، هەروەها دەبێتە نیشانەیەک دژایەتی دەکرێت، | 34 |
And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that will be spoken against; —
| هەتا نیازی دڵی زۆر کەس ئاشکرابێت. تۆش شمشێرێک جەرگت دەبڕێت.» | 35 |
yea, a sword will pierce through thine own soul, —that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
| پێغەمبەرێکی ژن هەبوو بە ناوی ئانای کچی پەنوئێل لە هۆزی ئاشێر. زۆر بە ساڵدا چوو بوو، لەدوای شووکردنی تەنها حەوت ساڵ لەگەڵ مێردەکەی ژیابوو، | 36 |
And there was Anna, a prophetess, daughter of Phanuel: of the tribe of Asher; she was of great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
| پاشان بە بێوەژنی مابووەوە و تەمەنی گەیشتبووە هەشتا و چوار ساڵ. پەرستگای بەجێ نەدەهێشت، شەو و ڕۆژ بە نوێژ و ڕۆژوو خودای دەپەرست. | 37 |
and she was a widow eighty-four years old, who never left the temple, worshipping with fastings and prayers night and day.
| هەر لەو کاتەدا هات بۆ لای ئەوان و ستایشی خودای کرد، باسی منداڵەکەی بۆ هەموو ئەوانە کرد کە چاوەڕوانی ڕزگاریی ئۆرشەلیم بوون. | 38 |
And she came up at this very time, and gave thanks to God, and spoke of him to all that were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.
| کە هەموو شتێکیان بەگوێرەی تەوراتی یەزدان تەواو کرد، هاتنەوە بۆ ناسیرەی شارەکەی خۆیان لە ناوچەی جەلیل. | 39 |
And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.
| منداڵەکەش گەشەی دەکرد و بەهێز دەبوو، پڕبوو لە دانایی و نیعمەتی خوداشی لەسەر بوو. | 40 |
And the child grew, and waxed strong, being filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him.
| دایک و باوکی هەموو ساڵێک لە جەژنی پەسخە دەچوونە ئۆرشەلیم. | 41 |
Now his parents used to go yearly to Jerusalem at the feast of the passover.
| کاتێک عیسا بووە دوازدە ساڵ، وەک نەریتی جەژن بەرەو ئۆرشەلیم سەرکەوتن. | 42 |
And when he was twelve years old, and they went up, after the custom of the feast,
| دوای تەواوبوونی جەژن و لە گەڕانەوەیاندا، بەبێ ئەوەی دایک و باوکی بزانن، عیسای مێردمنداڵ لە ئۆرشەلیم مایەوە. | 43 |
and had completed the days, on their returning, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and his parents did not know it,
| لەبەر ئەوەی پێیان وابوو لەنێو کاروانەکەیە، ڕۆژە ڕێیەک ڕۆیشتن. دوای ئەوە لەناو خزم و ناسیاوەکاندا بەدوایدا گەڕان. | 44 |
but, supposing him to be in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance;
| کاتێک نەیاندۆزییەوە، گەڕانەوە بۆ ئۆرشەلیم بۆ ئەوەی بەدوایدا بگەڕێن. | 45 |
and not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem in search of him.
| دوای سێ ڕۆژ لە حەوشەکانی پەرستگادا دۆزیانەوە، بینییان لەناو مامۆستایان دانیشتووە، گوێیان لێ دەگرێت و پرسیاریان لێدەکات. | 46 |
And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
| هەموو ئەوانەی گوێیان لێی ڕاگرتبوو، لە تێگەیشتن و وەڵامەکانی سەرسام بوون. | 47 |
And all who heard him were astonished at his understanding and his answers.
| کاتێک بینییان واقیان وڕما، ئینجا دایکی پێی گوت: «کوڕم، بۆ وات لێکردین؟ من و باوکت نیگەرانت بووین و بەدواتدا دەگەڕاین.» | 48 |
And when they saw him, they were amazed; and his mother said to him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have been seeking thee in much distress.
| وەڵامی دانەوە: «بۆچی بەدوامدا دەگەڕان؟ نەتاندەزانی پێویستە لە ماڵی باوکمدا بم؟» | 49 |
And he said to them, Why is it that ye have been seeking me? Did ye not know that I must be about my Father's business?
| بەڵام لەو قسەیە تێنەگەیشتن کە پێی فەرموون. | 50 |
And they understood not what he spoke to them.
| ئینجا لەگەڵیان گەڕایەوە و هاتەوە ناسیرە و گوێڕایەڵیان بوو. مریەمی دایکی ئەمانەی هەموو دەخستە دڵییەوە. | 51 |
And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them. And his mother kept all these things in her heart.
| عیساش لە دانایی و باڵا گەشەی دەکرد، جێی ڕەزامەندی خودا و خەڵکی بوو. | 52 |
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
