یەشوع 14

1 لە خاکی کەنعان، نەوەی ئیسرائیل ئەمەیان بۆ بوو بە میرات، ئەوەی ئەلعازاری کاهین و یەشوعی کوڕی نون و سەرۆکەکانی باوکانی هۆزەکانی نەوەی ئیسرائیل بەسەریاندا دابەشکردن وەک میرات.

And, these, are the inheritances which the sons of Israel received in the land of Canaan, —which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the ancestral heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel gave them to inherit.

2 میراتەکەیان بە تیروپشک بوو بۆ نۆ هۆزەکە و نیو هۆزەکە، هەروەک یەزدان لە ڕێگەی موساوە فەرمانی دا.

By lot, was their inheritance divided, —as Yahweh commanded by the hand of Moses, unto the nine tribes and unto the half tribe.

3 موسا میراتی دوو هۆزەکە و نیو هۆزەکەی لەوبەری ڕووباری ئوردوندا بەلای ڕۆژهەڵاتدا دابوو، بەڵام لەناو ئەواندا هیچ میراتی بە لێڤییەکان نەدا،

For Moses had given the two tribes and the half tribe their inheritance over the Jordan, —but, unto the Levites, gave he no inheritance in their midst;

4 چونکە نەوەی یوسف دوو هۆز بوون، مەنەشە و ئەفرایم. لە خاکەکەدا هیچ بەشێکیان بە لێڤییەکان نەدا، تەنها چەند شارۆچکەیەک نەبێت بۆ نیشتەجێبوون و دەوروبەری شارۆچکەکان، بۆ لەوەڕگای ڕەشەوڵاخ و مەڕوماڵاتیان.

for the sons of Joseph became two tribes: Manasseh and Ephraim, —so they gave no portion to the Levites in the land, save only cities to dwell in, with the pasture lands thereof, for their cattle and for their substance.

5 هەروەک یەزدان فەرمانی بە موسا کردبوو، نەوەی ئیسرائیل ئاوایان کرد و خاکەکەیان دابەش کرد.

As Yahweh commanded Moses, so, did the sons of Israel, —when they apportioned the land.

6 ئینجا نەوەی یەهودا لە گلگالدا چوونە پێش بۆ لای یەشوع، کالێبی کوڕی یەفونەی قەنیزی بە یەشوعی گوت: «تۆ ئەو قسەیە دەزانیت کە یەزدان لە قادێش بەرنێعدا لەبارەی من و تۆوە بە موسای پیاوی خودای فەرموو.

Then came near the sons of Judah unto Joshua in Gilgal, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, the Kenizzite, said unto him, —Thou, knowest the word which Yahweh spake unto Moses the man of God in my behalf and in thine in Kadesh-barnea.

7 لەو کاتەدا کە موسای بەندەی یەزدان منی لە قادێش بەرنێعەوە نارد بۆ ئەوەی سیخوڕیەتی خاکەکە بکەم، تەمەنم چل ساڵ بوو، منیش گەڕامەوە و ئەو هەواڵەی لە دڵمدا بوو پێم ڕاگەیاند.

Forty years old, was I when Moses the servant of Yahweh sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, —so I brought him back word, as was in my heart.

8 هەرچەندە براکانم ئەوانەی لەگەڵ من بوون گەلیان ترساند، بەڵام من بە هەموو دڵمەوە بەدوای یەزدانی پەروەردگارم کەوتم.

But, my brethren who had been up with me, made the heart of the people melt, —whereas, I, wholly followed Yahweh my God.

9 جا موسا لەو ڕۆژە سوێندی خوارد:”ئەو خاکەی تۆ پێت نایە سەری هەتاهەتایە دەبێتە میراتی خۆت و کوڕەکانت، چونکە بە هەموو دڵتەوە بەدوای یەزدانی پەروەردگارم کەوتیت.“

So then Moses sware on that day saying, Surely, the land on which thy foot hath trodden, unto thee, shall belong, for an inheritance, and unto thy sons, unto times age-abiding, —because thou hast wholly followed Yahweh my God.

10 «ئێستا تەماشا بکە، یەزدان هەروەک فەرمووی، ئەم چل و پێنج ساڵە منی بە زیندوویی هێشتووەتەوە، لەو کاتەوە کە یەزدان بەم قسانە لەگەڵ موسادا دوا، کاتێک ئیسرائیل بە چۆڵەوانیدا ڕۆیشت. ئێستاش ئەوەتا تەمەنم هەشتا و پێنج ساڵە!

Now, therefore lo! Yahweh hath kept me alive as he spake these forty and five years from the time Yahweh spake this word unto Moses, while Israel journeyed in the desert. Now, therefore lo! I—to-day, am eighty and five years old:

11 هێشتا هەتا ئەمڕۆش هێزم لەبەردا ماوە، هەروەک ئەو ڕۆژەی کە موسا منی نارد، ئەو کاتە هێزم چۆن بوو، ئێستاش هەمان هێزی هاتوچۆکردنی جەنگم هەیە.

I remain, to-day, as courageous as on the day when Moses sent me, as my strength was then, so also my strength is now, —for war, both to go out and to come in.

12 ئێستاش ئەم ناوچە شاخاوییانەم بدەرێ کە یەزدان لەو ڕۆژەدا بەڵێنی پێدام، چونکە تۆ لەو ڕۆژەدا بیستت کە عەناقییەکان لەوێن و شارەکانیان گەورە و قەڵابەند بوون. بەڵکو یەزدان یارمەتیم بدات، جا دەریاندەکەم، هەروەک یەزدان فەرمووی.»

Now, therefore, give me this mountain, whereof Yahweh spake, on that day, —for, thou thyself, didst hear, on that day, that, Anakim, were there, and great cities fortified, if so be Yahweh be with me, then shall I dispossess them, as spake Yahweh.

13 یەشوعیش داوای بەرەکەتی بۆ کالێبی کوڕی یەفونە کرد و حەبرۆنی بە میرات پێدا.

So Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron unto Caleb son of Jephunneh, for an inheritance.

14 لەبەر ئەوە حەبرۆن بووە میراتی کالێبی کوڕی یەفونەی قەنیزی هەتا ئەمڕۆش، چونکە بە هەموو دڵییەوە بەدوای یەزدانی پەروەردگاری ئیسرائیل کەوت.

For this cause, hath Hebron belonged unto Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenezzite, for an inheritance, unto this day, —because he wholly followed Yahweh, God of Israel.

15 حەبرۆنیش پێشتر ناوی قیریەت ئەربەع بوو، ئەربەعیش گەورەترین پیاو بوو لەناو عەناقییەکان. ئینجا خاکەکە لە جەنگ پشووی دا.

Now, the name of Hebron, was formerly, City of Arba, the greatest man among the Anakim, was he. And, the land, had rest from war.
