| لە سەرەتادا، وشەکە هەبوو، وشەکە لەلای خودا بوو، وشەکە خۆی خودا بوو. | 1 |
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
| ئەو لە سەرەتاوە لەلای خودا بوو. | 2 |
The same was in the beginning with God.
| هەموو شتێک بەو بەدیهاتووە، بێ ئەو هیچ شتێک بەدی نەهاتووە لەوانەی کە بەدیهاتوون. | 3 |
All things were made through him; and without him was nothing made that hath been made.
| وشەکە سەرچاوەی ژیان بوو، ژیانەکەش ڕووناکی مرۆڤ بوو، | 4 |
In him is life; and the life was the light of men.
| ڕووناکییەکەش لە تاریکیدا دەدرەوشێتەوە و تاریکییەکە بەسەریدا زاڵ نەبووە. | 5 |
And the light hath been shining in the darkness; and the darkness received it not.
| مرۆڤێک هات کە خودا ناردبووی، ناوی یەحیا بوو. | 6 |
There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
| ئەو بۆ شایەتی هات، تاکو شایەتی بۆ ڕووناکییەکە بدات، بۆ ئەوەی هەمووان لە ڕێگەی ئەوەوە باوەڕ بهێنن. | 7 |
He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that through him all might believe.
| ئەو ڕووناکییەکە نەبوو، بەڵکو هات تاکو شایەتی بۆ ڕووناکییەکە بدات. | 8 |
He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
| ئەو ڕووناکییە ڕاستەقینەیەی کە بەسەر هەموو مرۆڤێکدا دەدرەوشێتەوە، دەهاتە جیهان. | 9 |
The true light, which enlighteneth every man, was coming into the world.
| ئەو لە جیهاندا بوو، جیهانیش بەو بەدیهات، کەچی جیهان نەیناسی. | 10 |
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
| ئەو بۆ لای گەلەکەی هات بەڵام ئەوان پێشوازییان لێ نەکرد. | 11 |
He came to his own, and his own received him not.
| لەگەڵ ئەوەشدا هەموو ئەوانەی پێشوازییان لێکرد، ئەوانەی باوەڕیان بە ناوی هێنا، مافی پێدان ببنە ڕۆڵەی خودا، | 12 |
But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become children of God, —to those who believed in his name;
| ئەوانەی نە بە سروشت لەدایک بوون، نە بە خواستی مرۆڤ، نە بە ویستی پیاویش، بەڵکو لە خوداوە لەدایک بوون. | 13 |
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
| وشەکەش بوو بە مرۆڤ و لەنێوانماندا نیشتەجێ بوو. شکۆی ئەومان بینی، وەک شکۆی تاقانەیەک لە باوکەوە، پڕ لە نیعمەت و ڕاستی. | 14 |
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we beheld his glory, a glory as of an only begotten of a father.
| یەحیا شایەتی بۆ دا و هاواری کرد: «ئەمە ئەوەیە کە گوتم: ئەوەی دوای من دێت پێشم کەوت، چونکە پێش من بووە.» | 15 |
John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me hath gone before me; for he was before me.
| لە گەنجینەی پڕیی ئەوەوە هەموومان نیعمەت لەدوای نیعمەتمان وەرگرتووە، | 16 |
For out of his fullness have we all received, and grace upon grace.
| چونکە تەورات لە ڕێگەی موساوە درا، بەڵام نیعمەت و ڕاستی لە ڕێگەی عیسای مەسیحەوە هات. | 17 |
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
| هەرگیز کەس خودای نەبینیوە جگە لە کوڕە تاقانەکەی خودا، ئەوەی لە باوەشی باوکدایە، ئەو خودای دەرخست. | 18 |
No one hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath made him known.
| ئەمەش شایەتییەکەی یەحیایە، کاتێک ڕابەرانی جولەکەی ئۆرشەلیم کاهین و لێڤییان ناردە لای پرسیاری لێ بکەن: «تۆ کێیت؟» | 19 |
And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
| ئەو دانی پێدا نا و نکۆڵی نەکرد، بەڵکو گوتی: «من مەسیحەکە نیم.» | 20 |
And he declared, and did not deny; and he declared, I am not the Christ.
| ئینجا لێیان پرسی: «ئەی کێیت؟ ئەلیاسی؟» گوتی: «نا، ئەو نیم.» «ئەی تۆ پێغەمبەرەکەی؟» گوتی: «نەخێر.» | 21 |
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he said, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
| لە کۆتاییدا پێیان گوت: «باشە تۆ کێیت؟ تاکو وەڵامێک بدەینەوە ئەوانەی کە ئێمەیان ناردووە، دەربارەی خۆت چی دەڵێی؟» | 22 |
They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us; what sayest thou of thyself?
| یەحیا بە وشەکانی ئیشایای پێغەمبەر وەڵامی دانەوە و گوتی: «[من ئەو کەسەم کە لە چۆڵەوانی هاوار دەکات:”ڕێگا بۆ هاتنی یەزدان ئامادە بکەن.“]» | 23 |
He said, I am “a voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord,” as said Isaiah the prophet.
| ئەوانەی لەلایەن فەریسییەکانەوە نێردرابوون، | 24 |
And they were sent from the Pharisees;
| لێیان پرسی: «ئەگەر تۆ مەسیحەکە نیت و ئەلیاس نیت و پێغەمبەرەکەش نیت، ئیتر بۆچی خەڵکی لە ئاو هەڵدەکێشیت؟» | 25 |
and they asked him and said to him, Why then dost thou baptize, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?
| یەحیاش وەڵامی دانەوە: «من خەڵکی لە ئاو هەڵدەکێشم، بەڵام یەکێک لەنێوانتان ڕاوەستاوە کە نایناسن، | 26 |
John answered them, saying, I baptize in water. There standeth one among you whom ye know not,
| ئەو لەدوای من دێت، من شایانی ئەوە نیم کە قەیتانی پێڵاوەکانی بکەمەوە.» | 27 |
he who cometh after me, the latchet of whose sandal I am not worthy to loose.
| ئەمانە لە بێت‌عەنیا ڕوویدا، لەوبەری ڕووباری ئوردونەوە، لەو شوێنەی یەحیا خەڵکی لە ئاو هەڵدەکێشا. | 28 |
These things took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
| بۆ بەیانی کاتێک یەحیا بینی عیسا بەرەو ڕووی دێت، گوتی: «ئەوەتا بەرخی خودا، ئەوەی گوناهی جیهان لادەبات! | 29 |
The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!
| ئەمە ئەوەیە کە باسم کرد، پیاوێک دوای من دێت کە پێشم کەوتووە، چونکە پێش من بووە. | 30 |
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who hath gone before me; for he was before me.
| منیش نەمدەناسی، بەڵام هاتووم خەڵکی لە ئاو هەڵبکێشم بۆ ئەوەی ئەو بۆ ئیسرائیل دەربکەوێت.» | 31 |
And I knew him not; but that he might be made manifest to Israel, therefore I came baptizing in water.
| ئینجا یەحیا شایەتی دا و گوتی: «بینیم ڕۆحی پیرۆز وەک کۆترێک لە ئاسمانەوە دەهاتە خوارەوە و لەسەری نیشتەوە. | 32 |
And John bore witness, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
| من نەمدەناسی، بەڵام ئەوەی منی ناردووە خەڵک لەئاوهەڵکێشم، پێی گوتم:”ئەوەی دەیبینیت ڕۆحی پیرۆز دێتە خوارەوە و لەسەری دەنیشێتەوە، ئەو لە ڕۆحی پیرۆزتان هەڵدەکێشێت.“ | 33 |
And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize in water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is that baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.
| خۆم بینیم و شایەتیم دا کە ئەمە کوڕی خودایە.» | 34 |
And I have seen and have borne witness, that this is the Son of God.
| بۆ بەیانی دیسان یەحیا لەگەڵ دوو قوتابی خۆی ڕاوەستا بوو. | 35 |
On the morrow John was again standing, and two of his disciples;
| کاتێک عیسای لە کاتی ڕۆیشتندا بینی، گوتی: «ئەوەتا بەرخی خودا!» | 36 |
and looking upon Jesus as he was walking, he saith, Behold, the Lamb of God!
| کاتێک دوو قوتابییەکە گوێیان لەوە بوو، دوای عیسا کەوتن. | 37 |
The two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
| عیسا ئاوڕی دایەوە و بینی بەدوایدا دێن، لێی پرسین: «چیتان دەوێت؟» پێیان گوت: «ڕابی، لەکوێ دەمێنیتەوە؟» ڕابی واتە مامۆستا. | 38 |
Jesus turning and seeing them following, saith to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi, (that is to say, when interpreted, Teacher, ) where dost thou dwell?
| پێی فەرموون: «وەرن، تەماشا بکەن.» لەبەر ئەوە ئەوانیش ڕۆیشتن و بینییان لەکوێ دەمایەوە، ئەو ڕۆژەش لەگەڵی مانەوە، نزیکەی کاتژمێر چواری پاش نیوەڕۆ بوو. | 39 |
He saith to them, Come, and ye shall see. They came therefore and saw where he dwelt; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
| ئەندراوسی برای شیمۆن پەترۆس، یەکێک بوو لەو دووانەی کە گوێیان لە یەحیا بوو و دوای عیسا کەوتن. | 40 |
One of the two who heard what John said, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
| یەکەم جار ئەندراوس چوو شیمۆنی برای دۆزییەوە و پێی گوت: «مەسیحمان دۆزییەوە.» واتە دەستنیشانکراو. | 41 |
He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; (which is, when interpreted, the Christ.)
| ئینجا شیمۆنی هێنایە لای عیسا. عیساش تەماشای کرد و فەرمووی: «تۆ شیمۆنی کوڕی یۆنای، بەڵام بە کێفاس ناو دەبردرێیت.» کێفاس واتە پەترۆس. | 42 |
He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said, Thou art Simon, the son of John; thou shalt be called Cephas; (which signifieth Peter, that is, Rock.)
| بۆ بەیانی عیسا ویستی بچێتە جەلیل، فیلیپۆسی دۆزییەوە، پێی فەرموو: «دوام بکەوە.» | 43 |
On the morrow he determined to go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip. And Jesus saith to him, Follow me.
| فیلیپۆس خەڵکی بێت‌سەیدا بوو، شارەکەی ئەندراوس و پەترۆس. | 44 |
Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
| فیلیپۆسیش ناتانئیلی دۆزییەوە، پێی گوت: «ئەوەی کە موسا لە تەورات و پێغەمبەرانیش لە پەڕتووکەکانیان لەسەریان نووسیوە دۆزیمانەوە، عیسای کوڕی یوسفی خەڵکی ناسیرەیە.» | 45 |
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the Law, and the Prophets wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is of Nazareth.
| ناتانئیل پێی گوت: «ئایا لە ناسیرە شتی چاک هەڵدەکەوێ؟» فیلیپۆس پێی گوت: «وەرە و ببینە.» | 46 |
And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
| عیسا ناتانئیلی بینی بۆ لای دێت، دەربارەی فەرمووی: «ئەوەیە ئیسرائیلیی ڕەسەن، کە هیچ فێڵێکی تێدا نییە!» | 47 |
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.
| ناتانئیل پێی گوت: «چۆن دەمناسیت؟» عیسا وەڵامی دایەوە: «پێش ئەوەی فیلیپۆس بانگت بکات، تۆم لەژێر دار هەنجیرەکەدا بینی.» | 48 |
Nathanael saith to him, Whence dost thou know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
| ناتانئیل وەڵامی دایەوە: «ڕابی، تۆ کوڕی خودایت! پاشای ئیسرائیلیت!» | 49 |
Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.
| عیسا وەڵامی دایەوە: «باوەڕت هێنا، چونکە پێم گوتیت لەژێر دار هەنجیرەکە تۆم بینی؟ شتی گەورەتر دەبینیت!» | 50 |
Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, dost thou believe? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
| ئینجا پێی فەرموو: «ڕاستی ڕاستیتان پێ دەڵێم، دەبینن ئاسمان کراوەتەوە و فریشتەی خوداش لەسەر کوڕی مرۆڤ سەردەکەون و دادەبەزن.» | 51 |
And he saith to him, Truly, truly do I say to you, Ye will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
