ئەیوب 13

1 «چاوەکانم هەموو ئەمانەی بینیوە، گوێیەکانم بیستوویانە و تێیان گەیشتووم.

Lo, mine eye hath seen all [this], mine ear hath heard and understood it.

2 وەک زانینی ئێوە منیش زانیومە؛ من لە ئێوە کەمتر نیم.

What ye know, I know also: I am not inferior to you.

3 بەڵام من لەگەڵ توانادارەکە قسە دەکەم، دەمەوێت لەلای خودا دادگایی بکرێم.

But I will speak to the Almighty, and will find pleasure in reasoning with God;

4 بەڵام ئێوە درۆم بۆ هەڵدەبەستن، هەمووتان پزیشکی بێ کەڵکن.

For ye indeed are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.

5 خۆزگە بە تەواوی بێدەنگ دەبوون! ئەوە بۆتان دەبوو بە دانایی.

Oh that ye would be altogether silent! and it would be your wisdom.

6 ئێستا گوێ لە بەهانەم بگرن و بۆ سکاڵای لێوەکانم گوێ شل بکەن.

Hear now my defence, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.

7 ئایا بە درۆ بەرگری لە خودا دەکەن؟ ئایا بە دەم خوداوە درۆ دەکەن؟

Will ye speak unrighteously for God? and for him speak deceit?

8 ئایا لایەنگری دەکەن، یان بۆ خودا مشتومڕ دەکەن؟

Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?

9 ئەگەر تاقیتان بکاتەوە، ئایا دەردەچن یان دەتانەوێت وەک مرۆڤ هەڵیبخەڵەتێنن؟

Will it be well if he should search you out? or as one mocketh at a man, will ye mock at him?

10 بێگومان سەرزەنشتتان دەکات ئەگەر بە نهێنی لایەنگری بکەن.

He will certainly reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.

11 ئایا شکۆمەندییەکەی ناتانترسێنێت و ترسی ئەو دەستتان بەسەردا ناکێشێت؟

Shall not his excellency terrify you? and his dread fall upon you?

12 یادەوەری و پەندەکانتان تەنها خۆڵەمێشە و بەرگرییەکانتان بەرگرییە لە قوڕ.

Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, your bulwarks are bulwarks of mire.

13 «لێم بێدەنگ بن، من قسە دەکەم و ئەوەی بەسەرم دێت با بێت!

Hold your peace from me, and I will speak, and let come on me what [will]!

14 بۆچی من کێشە بۆ خۆم دروستبکەم، ژیانی خۆم بخەمە مەترسییەوە؟

Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?

15 ئەگەر بشمکوژێت هەر پشتی پێ دەبەستم، لەبەردەمیدا تەنها مشتومڕ لەسەر هەڵسوکەوتم دەکەم.

Behold, if he slay me, yet would I trust in him; but I will defend mine own ways before him.

16 هەروەها ئەمە بۆ ڕزگاریمە، کە خوانەناس نایەتە بەردەمی.

This also shall be my salvation, that a profane man shall not come before his face.

17 بە تەواوی گوێ لە قسەکانم بگرن و ئەوەی ڕایدەگەیەنم با گوێتان لێی بێت.

Hear attentively my speech and my declaration with your ears.

18 ئەوەتا من بە باشی سکاڵای خۆمم خستووەتە ڕوو، دەزانم ئەستۆپاک دەردەچم.

Behold now, I have ordered the cause; I know that I shall be justified.

19 کێیە ئەوەی مشتومڕم لەگەڵ دەکات، تاکو هەر ئێستا بێدەنگ بم و ڕۆح بەدەستەوە بدەم؟

Who is he that contendeth with me? For if I were silent now, I should expire.

20 «ئەی خودا، تەنها بەم دوو کارە پشتگیریم بکە، ئیتر لەبەردەمت ون نابم.

Only do not two things unto me; then will I not hide myself from thee.

21 دەستت لێم دووربخەوە و با سامی تۆ نەمترسێنێت.

Withdraw thy hand far from me; and let not thy terror make me afraid:

22 ئینجا بانگم بکە و من وەڵام دەدەمەوە، یان من قسە دەکەم و تۆ وەڵامم بدەوە.

Then call, and I will answer; or I will speak, and answer thou me.

23 چەند تاوان و گوناهم هەیە؟ یاخیبوون و گوناهەکەی خۆمم پێ بناسێنە.

How many are mine iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.

24 بۆچی ڕووی خۆت دەشاریتەوە و بە دوژمنی خۆت دامدەنێیت؟

Wherefore dost thou hide thy face, and countest me for thine enemy?

25 ئایا گەڵایەکی هەڵوەریو پان دەکەیتەوە؟ ئایا بەدوای پووشی وشکدا ڕادەکەیت؟

Wilt thou terrify a driven leaf? and wilt thou pursue dry stubble?

26 تۆ بە تاڵی لە دژم دەنووسیت و لەسەر تاوانەکانی لاویێتیم سزام دەدەیت.

For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth;

27 جا پێیەکانی منت خستووەتە ناو کۆتەوە و چاوت بڕیوەتە هەموو ڕێڕەوەکانم و شوێن پێیەکانم دەپشکنیت.

And thou puttest my feet in the stocks, and markest all my paths; thou settest a bound about the soles of my feet; —

28 «وەک دارێکی کلۆر لەناو دەچم، وەک جلێک کە مۆرانە لێی دابێت.

One who, as a rotten thing consumeth, as a garment that the moth eateth.
