| ئەی خوشکان و برایانم، ئێمەی باوەڕداران بە عیسای مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆمان، نابێت جیاکاری لەنێوان خەڵکی بکەین. | 1 |
My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
| ئەگەر پیاوێک هاتە ناو کۆڕەکەتان، ئەنگوستیلەی زێڕی لە پەنجە بوو و بەرگی نایاب بوو، هەروەها هەژارێکیش بە بەرگی پیس، | 2 |
For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
| تەماشای بەرگە نایابەکەتان کرد و گوتتان: «لێرە دانیشە باشە،» بە هەژارەکەش بڵێن: «لەوێ ڕابوەستە» یان «لەبەرپێم دانیشە،» | 3 |
And all of you have respect to him that wears the cheerful clothing, and say unto him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:
| ئایا لەنێوان خۆتاندا جیاکاری ناکەن و بە بیری خراپ حوکم بەسەر یەکدا نادەن؟ | 4 |
Are all of you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
| خوشک و برا خۆشەویستەکانم، گوێ بگرن: ئایا خودا هەژارانی ئەم جیهانەی هەڵنەبژاردووە تاکو لە باوەڕ دەوڵەمەند بن و میراتگری شانشین بن، کە بەڵێنی داوە بیدات بەوانەی خۆشیان دەوێت؟ | 5 |
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?
| بەڵام ئێوە سووکایەتیتان بە هەژارەکە کرد. ئایا دەوڵەمەندەکان نین خۆیان بەسەرتاندا دەسەپێنن و ڕاپێچی دادگاکانتان دەکەن؟ | 6 |
But all of you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
| ئایا ئەوان نین کفر بەو ناوە چاکە دەکەن کە پێی بانگکراون؟ | 7 |
Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which all of you are called?
| ئەگەر بەڕاستی شەریعەتی شاهانەتان هێناوەتە دی کە بەگوێرەی نووسراوە پیرۆزەکە دەڵێ: [نزیکەکەت وەک خۆت خۆشبوێت،] چاک دەکەن. | 8 |
If all of you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbour as yourself, all of you do well:
| بەڵام ئەگەر جیاکاری بکەن، ئەوا گوناه دەکەن و وەک سەرپێچیکار لەلایەن شەریعەتەوە سەرزەنشت دەکرێن، | 9 |
But if all of you have respect to persons, all of you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
| چونکە ئەوەی هەموو شەریعەت بەجێبهێنێت، بەڵام تەنها بەندێکی بشکێنێت، ئەوا لە هەمووی تاوانبارە. | 10 |
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
| ئەوەی فەرموویەتی: [داوێنپیسی مەکە،] هەروەها فەرمووشیەتی: [مەکوژە.] ئەگەر داوێنپیسیت نەکرد بەڵام یەکێکت کوشت، ئەوا سەرپێچی شەریعەتت کردووە. | 11 |
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law.
| ئاوا بدوێن و ئاوا کار بکەن، وەک ئەوەی بە شەریعەتی ئازادی حوکم بدرێن، | 12 |
So speak all of you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
| چونکە حوکمدان بێ بەزەییانەیە بۆ ئەو کەسەی کە بێ بەزەیی بووە، بەڵام بەزەیی بەسەر حوکمداندا سەردەکەوێت. | 13 |
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
| خوشکان و برایانم، چ سوودێکی هەیە ئەگەر یەکێک بڵێت باوەڕم هەیە، بەڵام کرداری نەبێت؟ ئایا ئەم جۆرە باوەڕە دەتوانێت ڕزگاری بکات؟ | 14 |
What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
| ئەگەر خوشک یان برایەک پێویستی بە جلوبەرگ و خواردنی ڕۆژانە هەبوو، | 15 |
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
| یەکێکتان پێتان گوتن: «بەخێر بچن، جلی گەرم لەبەر بکەن، تێر بخۆن،» و پێداویستییەکانی ژیانیان نەدەنێ، چ سوودێکی هەیە؟ | 16 |
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be all of you warmed and filled; notwithstanding all of you give them not those things which are necessary to the body; what does it profit?
| بەم شێوەیەش، باوەڕ ئەگەر کرداری نەبێت، لە خۆیدا مردووە. | 17 |
Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.
| لەوانەیە کەسێک بڵێ: «تۆ باوەڕت هەیە و من کردار.» نیشانم بدە باوەڕت چۆن بێ کردار دەبێت، ئەوسا منیش بە کردارەکانم نیشانت دەدەم باوەڕم چۆنە. | 18 |
Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
| تۆ باوەڕت هەیە کە یەک خودا هەیە، چاک دەکەیت. تەنانەت ڕۆحە پیسەکانیش باوەڕ دەکەن و دەلەرزن. | 19 |
You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
| ئەی مرۆڤی گێل، دەتەوێت بزانیت کە باوەڕ بێ کردار نەزۆکە؟ | 20 |
But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
| ئایا ئیبراهیمی باوکمان بە کردار بێتاوان نەکرا، کاتێک لەسەر قوربانگا ئیسحاقی کوڕی پێشکەش کرد؟ | 21 |
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
| دەبینیت باوەڕ بە کردارەکەی لە کاردا بوو، باوەڕەکەش بە کردار تەواو بوو. | 22 |
See you how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
| نووسراوە پیرۆزەکەش هاتە دی کە دەفەرموێ: [ئیبراهیم باوەڕی بە خودا هێنا و ئەمەشی بە ڕاستودروستی بۆ دانرا،] هەروەها ناوی لێنرا دۆستی خودا. | 23 |
And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
| دەبینن کە مرۆڤ بە کردار بێتاوان دەبێت نەک تەنها بە باوەڕ. | 24 |
All of you see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
| بەم شێوەیە ڕاحابی لەشفرۆش، ئایا بە کردار بێتاوان نەبوو، کە پێشوازی لە سیخوڕەکان کرد و بە ڕێگایەکی دیکەدا بەڕێی کردن؟ | 25 |
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
| هەروەک چۆن جەستە بێ ڕۆح مردووە، باوەڕیش بێ کردار مردووە. | 26 |
For as the body without the spirit (pneuma) is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
