ئیشایا 31

1 قوڕبەسەر ئەوانەی دادەبەزن بۆ میسر بۆ یارمەتی، پشت بە ئەسپ دەبەستن، متمانە بە زۆری گالیسکە و هێزی لە ڕادەبەدەری سوارەکانیان دەکەن، بەڵام پشتیان بە خودا پیرۆزەکەی ئیسرائیل نەبەست و داوای یەزدانیان نەکرد.

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek Yhwh!

2 ئەویش هەروەها دانایە و کارەسات دەهێنێت، لە وشەی خۆی با ناداتەوە. هەڵدەستێتە سەر ماڵی خراپەکاران و بۆ سەر یارمەتیدەری ستەمکاران.

Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

3 بەڵام میسرییەکان مرۆڤن نەک خودا، ئەسپەکانیان جەستەیین نەک ڕۆح. کاتێک یەزدان دەستی درێژ دەکات، یارمەتیدەر ساتمە دەکات و یارمەتیدراو دەکەوێت، هەموو پێکەوە لەناودەچن.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. when Yhwh shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

4 ئێستا یەزدان ئەمەم پێ دەفەرموێت: «وەک شێر و بەچکە شێر دەنەڕێنێت بەسەر نێچیرەکەیەوە، ئەوەی کۆمەڵە شوان هاواری لێ دەکەن، لە دەنگیان ناترسێت و لە هاتوهەرایان ناشڵەژێت، ئاواش یەزدانی سوپاسالار دادەبەزێت بۆ شەڕکردن لەسەر کێوی سییۆن و لەسەر گردەکانی.

For thus hath Yhwh spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall Yhwh of Armies come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

5 وەک باڵندە فڕیوەکان، ئاوا یەزدانی سوپاسالار پارێزگاری لە ئۆرشەلیم دەکات، پارێزگاری دەکات و فریادەکەوێت، بەسەریدا تێدەپەڕێت و دەربازی دەکات.»

As birds flying, so will Yhwh of Armies defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

6 بگەڕێنەوە لای ئەوەی نەوەی ئیسرائیل بە قووڵی لێی هەڵگەڕانەوە،

Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

7 چونکە لەو ڕۆژەدا هەرکەسە و بتە زێڕ و زیوەکانتان ڕەت دەکەنەوە، ئەوەی دەستە گوناهبارەکانتان دروستی کردن.

For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

8 «ئاشور دەکەوێت، بەڵام بە شمشێری مرۆڤ نا، شمشێری ئادەمیزاد نییە کە دەیخوات. جا لە ڕووی شمشێر هەڵدێت و گەنجەکانی بۆ بێگاری دەبن.

Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

9 قەڵاکەیان لە ترسان دەکەوێت، میرەکانیشی لە ئاڵا دەترسن،» یەزدان دەفەرموێت، ئەوەی ئاگری هەیە لە سییۆن و تەنووری هەیە لە ئۆرشەلیم.

And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith Yhwh, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
