پەیدابوون 25

1 ئیبراهیم ژنێکی دیکەی هێنا کە ناوی قەتورە بوو.

And Abraham adds and takes a wife, and her name [is] Keturah;

2 لەویش زیمران، یۆقشان، مەدان، میدیان، یەشباق و شوەحی بوو.

and she bears to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

3 یۆقشان باوکی شەبا و دیدان بوو. وەچەکانی دیدانیش، ئەشووری و لەتوشی و لەئومییەکان بوون.

And Jokshan has begotten Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim;

4 کوڕەکانی میدیانیش عێفا، عێفەر، حەنۆک، ئەبیداع و ئەلداعە بوون. هەموو ئەمانە نەوەی قەتورە بوون.

and the sons of Midian [are] Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah: all these [are] sons of Keturah.

5 ئیبراهیم هەرچی ماڵوموڵکی هەبوو دایە ئیسحاق،

And Abraham gives all that he has to Isaac;

6 بەڵام کاتێک هێشتا لە ژیاندا بوو، دیاری بەو کوڕانەی دا کە لە کەنیزەکانی بوون و بەرەو خاکی ڕۆژهەڵات ناردنی، دوور لە ئیسحاقی کوڕی.

and to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham has, Abraham has given gifts, and sends them away from his son Isaac (in his being yet alive) eastward, to the east country.

7 ئیبراهیم سەد و حەفتا و پێنج ساڵ ژیا.

And these [are] the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lived, one hundred and seventy-five years;

8 ئینجا ئیبراهیم لە تەمەنێکی باشی پیریدا، دواهەناسەی دا و مرد، پیرەمێردێکی تێر لە ژیان خواردوو، ئیتر چووەوە پاڵ گەلەکەی خۆی.

and Abraham expires, and dies in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and is gathered to his people.

9 هەردوو کوڕەکەشی، ئیسحاق و ئیسماعیل، باوکیان لە ئەشکەوتەکەی مەخپێلە کە بەرامبەر مەمرێیە و لە کێڵگەکەی عەفرۆنی کوڕی چۆحەری حیتیدایە، بە خاک سپارد.

And his sons Isaac and Ishmael bury him at the cave of Machpelah, at the field of Ephron, son of Zoar the Hittite, which [is] before Mamre—

10 ئیبراهیم ئەو کێڵگەیەی لە حیتییەکان کڕیبوو. لەوێ ئیبراهیم لەگەڵ سارای ژنی بە خاک سپێردرا.

the field which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth—there Abraham has been buried, and his wife Sarah.

11 دوای مردنی ئیبراهیم، خودا ئیسحاقی کوڕی بەرەکەتدار کرد. ئیسحاقیش لەلای بیری لەحەی ڕۆئییەوە نیشتەجێ بوو.

And it comes to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blesses his son Isaac; and Isaac dwells by the Well of the Living One, my Beholder.

12 ئەمانەش نەوەکانی ئیسماعیلی کوڕی ئیبراهیمن کە هاجەری میسری، کەنیزەکەی سارا، بۆ ئیبراهیمی بوو.

And these [are] the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, has borne to Abraham;

13 ئەمانەش ناوی کوڕەکانی ئیسماعیلن، ناویان بەپێی لەدایکبوونیان: نەبایۆت کە نۆبەرەی ئیسماعیل بوو، هەروەها قێدار، ئەدبەئێل، میبسام،

and these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their births: firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

14 میشماع، دوما، مەسسا،

and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

15 حەدەد، تێما، یەتور، نافیش و قێدما.

Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:

16 ئەمانە کوڕەکانی ئیسماعیل بوون، هەروەها ناوی دوازدە میرە خێڵەکییەکەن بەپێی هەوار و خێوەتگاکانیان.

these are sons of Ishmael, and these [are] their names, by their villages, and by their towers; twelve princes according to their peoples.

17 ئیسماعیل سەد و سی و حەوت ساڵ ژیا، ئینجا دواهەناسەی دا و مرد و چووەوە پاڵ گەلەکەی خۆی.

And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, one hundred and thirty-seven years; and he expires, and dies, and is gathered to his people;

18 نەوەکانی ئیسماعیل لە حەڤیلاوە هەتا شوور نیشتەجێ بوون، لە نزیک سنووری میسر لەسەر ڕێگای ئەشوور. ئەوان دژی هەموو براکانیان بوون.

and they dwell from Havilah to Shur, which [is] before Egypt, in [your] going toward Asshur; in the presence of all his brothers has he fallen.

19 ئەمانەش نەوەکانی ئیسحاقی کوڕی ئیبراهیمن. ئیبراهیم ئیسحاقی بوو.

And these [are] the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham has begotten Isaac;

20 ئیسحاق تەمەنی چل ساڵ بوو کاتێک ڕڤقەی کچی بتوئێلی ئارامی کە خوشکی لابانی ئارامی بوو لە پەدان ئارامەوە هێنای تاکو ببێتە ژنی.

and Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramean, to him for a wife.

21 ئیسحاق لە پێناو ژنەکەی لە یەزدان پاڕایەوە، چونکە نەزۆک بوو. یەزدانیش وەڵامی دایەوە و ڕڤقەی ژنی سکپڕ بوو.

And Isaac makes plea to YHWH before his wife, for she [is] barren: and YHWH accepts his plea, and his wife Rebekah conceives,

22 هەردوو کوڕەکە لە سکیدا ململانێی یەکتریان دەکرد، ئەویش گوتی: «بۆچی ئەمە لە من ڕوودەدات؟» ئیتر چوو هەتا پرسیار لە یەزدان بکات.

and the children struggle together within her, and she says, “If [it is] right—why [am] I thus?” And she goes to seek YHWH.

23 یەزدانیش پێی فەرموو: «دوو نەتەوە لە منداڵدانتن، دوو گەل لە هەناوتەوە لە یەک جیا دەبنەوە، گەلێکیان لە گەلەکەی دیکە بەهێزتر دەبێت، گەورەکە خزمەتی بچووکەکە دەکات.»

And YHWH says to her, “Two nations [are] in your womb, and two peoples from your bowels are parted; and the [one] people is stronger than the [other] people; and the older serves the younger.”

24 کە ڕۆژانی خۆی تەواو کرد و هاتە سەر منداڵبوون، بێگومان دووانەیەک لە منداڵدانی بوو.

And her days to bear are fulfilled, and behold, twins [are] in her womb;

25 ئەوەیان کە یەکەم جار لەدایک بوو سوور بوو، هەموو لەشی وەک کەوڵێکی تووکن وابوو، بۆیە ناویان لێنا عیسۆ.

and the first comes out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;

26 دوای ئەم براکەی لەدایک بوو، کە بە دەستی پاژنە پێی عیسۆی گرتبوو، بۆیە ناویان لێنا یاقوب. ئیسحاق لە تەمەنی شەست ساڵیدا بوو کاتێک ڕڤقە ئەمانی بوو.

and afterward his brother has come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau’s heel, and one calls his name Jacob; and Isaac [is] a son of sixty years in her bearing them.

27 هەردوو کوڕەکە گەورە بوون. عیسۆ بووە ڕاوکەرێکی شارەزا و پیاوی دەشتودەر، بەڵام یاقوب پیاوێکی لەسەرخۆ و چادرنشین بوو.

And the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted [with] hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob [is] a plain man, inhabiting tents;

28 ئیسحاق عیسۆی زیاتر خۆشدەویست، چونکە حەزی لە گۆشتی نێچیر بوو، بەڵام ڕڤقە یاقوبی زیاتر خۆشدەویست.

and Isaac loves Esau, for [his] game [is] in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.

29 ڕۆژێک یاقوب چێشتی لێدەنا، عیسۆ لە دەشتودەر هاتەوە و پەکی کەوتبوو.

And Jacob boils stew, and Esau comes in from the field, and he [is] weary;

30 عیسۆ بە یاقوبی گوت: «هەندێکم لەو چێشتە سوورە بدەرێ! پەکم کەوتووە.» لەبەر ئەمەیە ناوی لێنرا ئەدۆم.

and Esau says to Jacob, “Please let me eat some of this red-red thing, for I [am] weary”; therefore [one] has called his name Edom;

31 یاقوبیش گوتی: «تۆش ئەمڕۆ نۆبەرایەتییەکەی خۆتم پێ بفرۆشە.»

and Jacob says, “Sell your birthright to me today.”

32 عیسۆ گوتی: «من وا خەریکە دەمرم، ئیتر نۆبەرایەتیم بۆ چییە؟»

And Esau says, “Behold, I am going to die, and what is this to me—a birthright?”

33 بەڵام یاقوب گوتی: «ئادەی ئەمڕۆ سوێندم بۆ بخۆ.» ئەویش سوێندی بۆ خوارد و نۆبەرایەتییەکەی خۆی فرۆشتە یاقوب.

And Jacob says, “Swear to me today”: and he swears to him, and sells his birthright to Jacob;

34 ئینجا یاقوب نان و نیسکی دایە عیسۆ. ئیتر عیسۆ خواردی و خواردیەوە، پاشان هەستا و ڕۆیشت. بەو شێوەیە عیسۆ سووکایەتی بە نۆبەرایەتی کرد.

and Jacob has given bread and stew of lentils to Esau, and he eats, and drinks, and rises, and goes; and Esau despises the birthright.
