| هەموو کۆمەڵی نەوەی ئیسرائیل لە چۆڵەوانی سینەوە کۆچیان کرد، بەگوێرەی کۆچەکانیان کاتێک یەزدان فەرمانی پێ دەکردن، لە ڕەفیدیم لایاندا، بەڵام ئاو نەبوو بۆ خواردنەوە بۆ گەل. | 1 |
All the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] traveled from the wilderness of Cin [Clay], by their journeys, according to Adonai’s order, and encamped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
| جا گەل کردیان بە دەمەقاڵێ لەگەڵ موسا و گوتیان: «ئاومان بدەنێ بیخۆینەوە.» موساش وەڵامی دانەوە: «بۆچی دەمەقاڵێم لەگەڵ دەکەن؟ بۆچی یەزدان تاقی دەکەنەوە؟» | 2 |
Therefore the people quarreled with Moses [Drawn out], and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses [Drawn out] said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Adonai?”
| بەڵام گەل لەوێ تینوویان بوو و کەوتنە بۆڵەبۆڵ لەسەر موسا. گوتیان: «بۆچی ئێمەت لە میسرەوە هێنایە دەرەوە، هەتا خۆمان و منداڵ و مەڕوماڵاتمان بە تینووێتی بمرین؟» | 3 |
The people were thirsty for water there; and the people murmured against Moses [Drawn out], and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”
| ئیتر موسا هاواری بۆ یەزدان کرد و گوتی: «چی لەم گەلە بکەم؟ پاش کەمێکی دیکە بەردبارانم دەکەن.» | 4 |
Moses [Drawn out] cried to Adonai, saying, “What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
| یەزدانیش بە موسای فەرموو: «لەپێش گەلدا بڕۆ و هەندێک پیری ئیسرائیل لەگەڵ خۆت ببە و ئەو گۆچانەش کە پێی لە ڕووباری نیلت دا لەگەڵ دەستت بیبە و بڕۆ. | 5 |
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel [God prevails] with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go.
| من لەپێشت لەوێ لەسەر ئەو تاشەبەردە لە حۆرێڤ وەستاوم. لە تاشەبەردەکە دەدەیت، ئاوی لێ هەڵدەقوڵێت و گەل دەیخۆنەوە.» موساش بەم جۆرەی کرد لەبەرچاوی پیرانی ئیسرائیل. | 6 |
Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb [Desert]. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses [Drawn out] did so in the sight of the elders of Israel [God prevails].
| ئەو شوێنەیان ناونا مەسا و مەریبا، لەبەر دەمەقاڵێی نەوەی ئیسرائیل و لەبەر ئەوەی یەزدانیان تاقی کردەوە و گوتیان «ئایا یەزدان لەنێوانمانە یان نا؟» | 7 |
He called the name of the place Massah [Testing], and Meribah [Quarreling], because the children of Israel [God prevails] quarreled, and because they tested Adonai, saying, “Is Adonai among us, or not?”
| عەمالێقییەکان هاتن و شەڕیان لەگەڵ ئیسرائیل کرد لە ڕەفیدیم. | 8 |
Then Amalek [Man who licks up] came and fought with Israel [God prevails] in Rephidim.
| موساش بە یەشوعی گوت: «چەند پیاوێکمان بۆ هەڵبژێرە و بڕۆ لە دژی عەمالێقییەکان شەڕ بکە، من بەیانی لەسەر سەری گردەکە دەوەستم و گۆچانەکەی خوداش لە دەستم دەبێت.» | 9 |
Moses [Drawn out] said to Joshua [Yah Salvation], “Choose men for us, and go out, fight with Amalek [Man who licks up]. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with God’s rod in my hand.”
| یەشوعیش بە قسەی موسای کرد، لە دژی عەمالێقییەکان جەنگا، موسا و هارون و حووریش سەرکەوتنە سەر گردەکە. | 10 |
So Joshua [Yah Salvation] did as Moses [Drawn out] had told him, and fought with Amalek [Man who licks up]; and Moses [Drawn out], Aaron [Light-bringer], and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
| ئەوە بوو کاتێک موسا دەستی بەرز دەکردەوە، نەوەی ئیسرائیل سەردەکەوتن، بەڵام کاتێک دەستی دەهێنایە خوارەوە، عەمالێقییەکان سەردەکەوتن. | 11 |
When Moses [Drawn out] held up his hand, Israel [God prevails] prevailed. When he let down his hand, Amalek [Man who licks up] prevailed.
| کاتێک دەستەکانی موسا قورس بوون، بەردێکیان هێنا و خستیانە ژێری و ئەویش لەسەری دانیشت. ئینجا هارون و حوور یەکێکیان لەم لاوە و ئەوی دیکە لەو لاوە دەستیان گرت، ئیتر هەتا ئاوابوونی خۆر دەستەکانی بە بەرزکراوەیی مایەوە. | 12 |
But Moses [Drawn out]’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron [Light-bringer] and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. His hands were steady until sunset.
| یەشوعیش بە شمشێر عەمالێق و لەشکرەکەی بەزاند. | 13 |
Joshua [Yah Salvation] defeated Amalek [Man who licks up] and his people with the edge of the sword.
| یەزدانیش بە موسای فەرموو: «ئەمە وەک یاداشتێک لە پەڕەیەک بنووسە و بۆ یەشوعی بخوێنەوە، چونکە بە تەواوی یادگاری عەمالێق لەژێر ئاسمان دەسڕمەوە.» | 14 |
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua [Yah Salvation]: that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek [Man who licks up] from under the sky.”
| موساش قوربانگایەکی دروستکرد و ناوی لێنا «یەزدان ئاڵای منە» و | 15 |
Moses [Drawn out] built an altar, and called its name Adonai our Banner.
| گوتی: «لەبەر ئەوەی عەمالێق دەستی بەرزکردووەتەوە لە دژی تەختی یەزدان، یەزدان نەوە لەدوای نەوە لە دژی عەمالێق لە جەنگدا دەبێت.» | 16 |
He said, “Yah has sworn: ‘Adonai will have war with Amalek [Man who licks up] from generation to generation.’”
