| سەرۆکی کاهینان لێی پرسی: «ئایا ئەو تۆمەتانە ڕاستن؟» | 1 |
Then said the high priest, Are these things so?
| ئەویش گوتی: «برایان و باوکان گوێ بگرن، خودای شکۆمەندی بۆ ئیبراهیمی باوکمان دەرکەوت کاتێک لە میسۆپۆتامیا بوو، پێش ئەوەی لە حاران نیشتەجێ بێت، | 2 |
And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,
| پێی فەرموو: [خاک و کەسوکارت بەجێبهێڵە و بڕۆ بۆ ئەو خاکەی پیشانت دەدەم.] | 3 |
And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
| «خاکی کلدانییەکانی بەجێهێشت و لە حاران نیشتەجێ بوو. دوای مردنی باوکی، خودا لەوێوە گواستییەوە بۆ ئەم خاکەی ئێوە ئێستا تێیدا نیشتەجێن. | 4 |
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldæans, and dwelt in Haran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
| لێرەدا هیچ میراتێکی نەدایێ، تەنانەت شوێن پێیەکیش. بەڵام خودا بەڵێنی پێدا کە بە موڵک بیداتە خۆی و وەچەکەی لەدوای خۆی، هەرچەندە هێشتا منداڵی نەبوو. | 5 |
And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
| خوداش ئاوای فەرموو: [نەوەکانت لە خاکێک نامۆ دەبن کە هی خۆیان نییە، دەبنە کۆیلەیان و چوار سەد ساڵ دەیانچەوسێننەوە. | 6 |
And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
| بەڵام ئەو نەتەوەیەش حوکم دەدەم، کە ئەوان وەک کۆیلە خزمەتیان دەکەن،] خودا فەرموویەتی، [دوای ئەوە دێنە دەرەوە و لەم شوێنە دەمپەرستن.] | 7 |
And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.
| خوداش پەیمانی خەتەنەکردنی لەگەڵ ئیبراهیم بەست. ئاوا ئیسحاقی بوو، لە تەمەنی هەشت ڕۆژیدا خەتەنەی کرد. ئیسحاقیش یاقوبی بوو، یاقوبیش دوازدە باوکانی یەکەمینی بوو. | 8 |
And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.
| «باوکانیش چاویان بە یوسف هەڵنەهات، فرۆشتیانە میسر. بەڵام خودای لەگەڵ بوو، | 9 |
And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
| لە هەموو ناخۆشییەکانی ڕزگاری کرد، لەبەردەم فیرعەونی پاشای میسردا نیعمەت و دانایی پێدا. ئەویش کردی بە فەرمانڕەوای میسر و سەرپەرشتیاری هەموو ماڵەکەی خۆی. | 10 |
And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
| «ئینجا قاتوقڕی و تەنگانە بەسەر هەموو میسر و کەنعاندا هات، باوباپیرانمان خواردنیان دەست نەدەکەوت. | 11 |
Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
| یاقوب بیستی لە میسر دانەوێڵە هەیە، جاری یەکەم باوکانمانی نارد. | 12 |
But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
| بۆ جاری دووەم یوسف بە برایانی ناسرا، بنەماڵەی یوسفیش بۆ فیرعەون دەرکەوت. | 13 |
And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.
| ئیتر یوسف ناردی یاقوبی باوکی بە هەموو کەسوکاریەوە بۆ میسر بانگکرد، کە حەفتا و پێنج کەس بوون. | 14 |
Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
| جا یاقوب بۆ میسر دابەزی و مرد، خۆی و باوباپیرانمان. | 15 |
So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
| ئینجا بۆ شەخەم گەڕاندیانەوە و لەو گۆڕە ناشتییان کە ئیبراهیم لە شەخەم بە بڕێک زیو لە کوڕەکانی حەمۆری کڕی. | 16 |
And were carried over into Shechem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem.
| «بەڵام ئەو کاتەی بەڵێنەکە نزیک دەبووەوە کە خودا بە ئیبراهیمی دا، گەل لە میسر پەرەیان دەسەند و زۆردەبوون، | 17 |
But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
| تاکو [لە میسر پاشایەکی نوێ هاتە سەر تەخت کە یوسفی نەدەناسی.] | 18 |
Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
| لەگەڵ گەلەکەمان بە فێڵ دەجوڵایەوە و خراپەی لەگەڵ باوباپیرانمان کرد، ناچاری دەکردن منداڵە ساواکانیان دووربخەنەوە تاکو بمرن. | 19 |
The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.
| «لەو کاتەدا موسا لەدایک بوو. لەبەرچاوی خودا جوان بوو، سێ مانگ لە ماڵی باوکی بەخێوکرا، | 20 |
In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father’s house three months:
| کاتێک دوورخرایەوە، کچی فیرعەون هەڵیگرتەوە و کردییە کوڕی خۆی و بەخێوی کرد. | 21 |
And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.
| موساش لەناو هەموو دانایی میسرییەکاندا پەروەردە کرا، بە توانا لە قسە و کرداردا. | 22 |
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
| «کاتێک تەمەنی بووە چل ساڵ، بڕیاری دا سەردانی برا ئیسرائیلییەکانی بکات. | 23 |
And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
| یەکێکیانی بینی ستەمی لێ دەکرێت، بەرگری لێکرد و دادوەریی بۆ ستەملێکراو کرد، میسرییەکەی کوشت. | 24 |
And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:
| وایزانی برایانی تێدەگەن کە خودا لەسەر دەستی ئەو ڕزگاریان دەکات. بەڵام تێنەگەیشتن. | 25 |
For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
| بۆ بەیانی دوو لە برا عیبرانییەکانی بینی کە شەڕیان دەکرد، هەوڵی دەدا ئاشتیان بکاتەوە، گوتی:”ئێوە بران، بۆچی دەست بۆ یەکتری درێژ دەکەن؟“ | 26 |
And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
| «بەڵام ئەوەی ستەمی لە نزیکەکەی دەکرد، پاڵێکی پێوەنا و گوتی: [کێ تۆی کردووە بە گەورە و دادوەر بەسەرمانەوە؟ | 27 |
But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
| ئایا دەتەوێ بمکوژیت هەروەک دوێنێ میسرییەکەت کوشت؟] | 28 |
Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
| موساش بەهۆی ئەم قسەیەوە هەڵهات، لە خاکی میدیان بووە بێگانە و لەوێ دوو کوڕی بوو. | 29 |
Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Midian, where he begat two sons.
| «دوای ئەوەی چل ساڵ تەواوبوو، [فریشتەیەک لە بیابانی شاخی سینا لەنێو دەوەنێکی داگیرساودا بۆی دەرکەوت.] | 30 |
And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sinai an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.
| موساش ئەمەی بینی و لە دیمەنەکە سەرسام بوو، دەچووە پێش تاکو لە نزیکەوە سەیر بکات، دەنگی یەزدان هات: | 31 |
When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,
| [من خودای باوکانت، خودای ئیبراهیم و ئیسحاق و یاقوبم.] بەڵام موسا لەرز گرتی و نەیوێرا سەیر بکات. | 32 |
Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
| «[جا یەزدان پێی فەرموو: پێڵاوەکانت لە پێت دابکەنە، چونکە ئەو شوێنەی تۆ لەسەری وەستاویت خاکێکی پیرۆزە. | 33 |
Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.
| بەڕاستی من ئەزیەتی گەلەکەی خۆمم لە میسر بینی و گوێم لە ناڵەیان بوو، هاتمە خوارەوە تاکو دەربازیان بکەم. ئێستاش وەرە، دەتنێرمە میسر.] | 34 |
I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.
| «ئەو موسایەی ڕەتیان کردەوە و گوتیان: [کێ تۆی کردووە بە گەورە و دادوەر بەسەرمانەوە؟] هەر ئەو بوو خودا وەک گەورە و ئازادکەر بە دەستی ئەو فریشتەیە ناردی کە لە دەوەنەکەدا بۆی دەرکەوت. | 35 |
This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
| جا موسا گەلەکەی لە میسر هێنایە دەرەوە، پەرجوو و نیشانەی کرد لە خاکی میسر، لە دەریای سوور، هەروەها لە ماوەی چل ساڵدا لە چۆڵەوانی. | 36 |
He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
| «ئەمە ئەو موسایەیە کە بە نەوەی ئیسرائیلی گوت: [خودا لەنێو براکانتان پێغەمبەرێکی وەک منتان بۆ دادەنێت.] | 37 |
This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
| هەر ئەویش بوو لە چۆڵەوانی لەناو کڵێساکەدا بوو، لەگەڵ ئەو فریشتەیەی لە شاخی سینا قسەی لەگەڵی دەکرد، لەگەڵ باوباپیرانیشمان، ئەوەی وشە زیندووەکانی وەرگرت تاکو بمانداتێ. | 38 |
This is he, that was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sinai, and with our fathers: who received the living oracles to give unto us:
| «بەڵام باوباپیرانمان نەیانویست گوێڕایەڵی بن. ئەویان ڕەتکردەوە و دڵیان بۆ میسر لێی دەدا. | 39 |
To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
| بە هارونیان گوت: [چەند خوداوەندێکمان بۆ دروستبکە تاکو پێشڕەویمان بکەن، چونکە ئەم موسایە، ئەو پیاوەی ئێمەی لە خاکی میسرەوە دەرهێنا نازانین چی لێهات.] | 40 |
Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
| لەو ڕۆژانەدا بتێکیان لە شێوەی گۆلک دروستکرد و قوربانییان بۆ کرد، بە دەستکردی خۆیان دڵشاد بوون. | 41 |
And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
| بەڵام خودا ڕووی لێ وەرگێڕان و وازی لێ هێنان ئەستێرەکانی ئاسمان بپەرستن، وەک لە پەڕتووکی پێغەمبەراندا نووسراوە: «[ئەی بنەماڵەی ئیسرائیل، ئایا بۆ ماوەی چل ساڵ لە چۆڵەوانی قوربانی سەربڕاو و پێشکەشکراوتان بۆ هێنام؟ | 42 |
Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
| نەخێر، بەڵکو نزرگەی بتی مۆلەختان لەگەڵ ئەستێرەی خوداوەندەکەتان هەڵگرت، ڕێفان، ئەو پەیکەرانەی دروستتان کرد تاکو بیانپەرستن. لەبەر ئەوە من بۆ شوێنێک ڕاپێچتان دەکەم کە لە بابل دوورترە.] | 43 |
Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
| «چادری پەرستنی شایەتیش لە چۆڵەوانیدا لەگەڵ باوباپیرانمان بوو، هەروەک ئەوەی خودا فەرمانی بە موسا کرد لەسەر ئەو نموونەیە دروستی بکات کە بینیویەتی. | 44 |
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
| جا باوباپیرانمان چادری پەرستنیان وەرگرت و لەگەڵ یەشوع بردیانە ناو موڵکی ئەو گەلانەی خودا لەبەردەمی باوکانمان دەریکردن هەتا ڕۆژانی داود، | 45 |
Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Joshua into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
| ئەوەی لەلای خودا ڕەزامەندی بەدەستهێنا، ئەویش هەوڵی دا نشینگەیەک بۆ خودای یاقوب دروستبکات. | 46 |
Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
| کەچی ئەوە سلێمان بوو کە ماڵێکی بۆ دروستکرد. | 47 |
But Solomon built him an house.
| «بەڵام خودای هەرەبەرز لە ماڵی دەستکرد نیشتەجێ نابێت، هەروەک پێغەمبەر ئیشایا گوتوویەتی: | 48 |
Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
| «[ئاسمان تەختی منە و زەویش تەختەپێمە، چ ماڵێکم بۆ بنیاد دەنێن؟ یەزدان دەفەرموێ، لەکوێیە شوێنی حەوانەوەم؟ | 49 |
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
| ئایا دەستی من هەموو ئەم شتانەی دروستنەکردووە؟] | 50 |
Hath not my hand made all these things?
| «ئەی کەللەڕەقان، ئەی دڵ و گوێ خەتەنە نەکراوان! ئێوە وەک باوباپیرانتان هەمیشە بەربەرەکانێی ڕۆحی پیرۆز دەکەن! | 51 |
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
| باوباپیرانتان چ پێغەمبەرێکیان نەچەوساندووەتەوە؟ ئەوانەشیان کوشت کە زوو باسی هاتنی ڕاستودروستەکەیان دەکرد، ئەوەی ئێستا ئێوە بە گرتنتان دا و کوشتتان. | 52 |
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
| ئێوە تەوراتتان بە ڕێنمایی فریشتەکان وەرگرت بەڵام پەیڕەوتان نەکرد.» | 53 |
Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
| کاتێک ئەندامانی ئەنجومەنی باڵا گوێیان لەم قسانەی ستیفانۆس بوو، دڵیان پڕبوو لە قین و ددانیان لێی جیڕکردەوە. | 54 |
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
| بەڵام ستیفانۆس پڕ ببوو لە ڕۆحی پیرۆز، چاوی بڕییە ئاسمان، شکۆی خودای بینی و عیساش لە دەستەڕاستی خودا وەستابوو. | 55 |
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
| گوتی: «دەبینم ئاسمان کراوەتەوە و کوڕی مرۆڤیش لە دەستەڕاستی خودا ڕاوەستاوە.» | 56 |
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
| بەمە گوێی خۆیان توند گرت و هەمووان بە دەنگێکی بەرز هاواریان کرد و تێکڕا پەلاماریان دا، | 57 |
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
| بردیانە دەرەوەی شار و بەردبارانیان کرد. شایەتەکانیش جلەکانیان داکەند و خستیانە بەرپێی گەنجێک کە ناوی شاول بوو. | 58 |
And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.
| کاتێک ستیفانۆسیان بەردباران دەکرد، نوێژی دەکرد: «عیسای خاوەن شکۆ، ڕۆحم وەربگرە!» | 59 |
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
| ئینجا چۆکی دادا و بە دەنگێکی بەرز هاواری کرد: «ئەی مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ، ئەم گوناهەیان لەسەر مەنووسە.» ئەمەی گوت و نوست. | 60 |
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
