یەکەم تیمۆساوس 3

1 ئەم قسەیە ڕاستە: ئەگەر یەکێک چاوی لە چاودێری بێت، حەزی لە چاکەکارییە.

The word [is] steadfast: If anyone longs for overseership, he desires a right work;

2 چاودێر دەبێت گلەیی لەسەر نەبێت، مێردی یەک ژن بێت، وریا و ژیر و بەڕێز و میوان دۆست بێت، بتوانێت خەڵک فێربکات،

it is required, therefore, the overseer to be blameless, a husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, respectable, a friend of strangers, apt to teach,

3 سەرخۆش و توندوتیژ نەبێت، بەڵکو دڵنەرم بێت، شەڕفرۆش نەبێت، حەزی لە پارە نەبێت.

not given to wine, not a striker, but gentle, not contentious, not a lover of money,

4 خێزانەکەی باش بەڕێوە ببات، منداڵەکانی بەوپەڕی ڕێزەوە ملکەچ بن.

leading his own house well, having children in subjection with all dignity,

5 ئەگەر کەسێک نەزانێت خێزانەکەی بەڕێوە ببات، چۆن چاودێری کڵێسای خودا دەکات؟

(and if anyone has not known [how] to lead his own house, how will he take care of an assembly of God?)

6 تازە نەبێت لە باوەڕ، نەوەک لووتبەرز بێت و هەمان سزای شەیتانی بەسەردا بدرێت.

not a new convert, lest having been puffed up he may fall to a judgment of the Devil;

7 دەبێت ناوبانگی باش بێت لەلای ئەوانەی لە دەرەوەن، نەوەک قسەی بێتە سەر و بکەوێتە بەر داوی شەیتان.

and it is required of him also to have a good testimony from those outside, that he may not fall into reproach and a snare of the Devil.

8 خزمەتکارانیش دەبێت بەڕێز بن، دوو زمان نەبن، شەراب زۆر نەخۆنەوە، چاویان لە دەستکەوتی ناڕەوا نەبێت،

Servants, in like manner, dignified, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not given to shameful gain,

9 بە ویژدانێکی پاک دەست بە ڕاستییە قووڵەکانی باوەڕەکەوە بگرن.

having the secret of the faith in a pure conscience,

10 با یەکەم جار تاقی بکرێنەوە، کە بێ گلەیی بوون، با وەک خزمەتکار خزمەت بکەن.

and let these also first be proved, then let them minister, being unblameable.

11 ژنەکانیش دەبێت بەڕێز بن، بوختانکەر نەبن، وریا بن، لە هەموو شتێکدا دڵسۆز بن.

Women, in like manner, dignified, not false accusers, vigilant, faithful in all things.

12 با خزمەتکار مێردی یەک ژن بێت و ماڵ و منداڵی باش بەڕێوە ببات.

Servants—let them be husbands of one wife, leading the children well, and their own houses,

13 ئەوانەی باش خزمەتیان کردووە، پلەیەکی باش و متمانەیەکی زۆر لە باوەڕیان بە عیسای مەسیح بەدەستدەهێنن.

for those who ministered well acquire a good step to themselves, and much boldness in faith that [is] in Christ Jesus.

14 هەرچەندە هیوادارم زوو بێمە لات، بەڵام ئەمانەت بۆ دەنووسم،

I write to you these things, hoping to come to you soon,

15 تاکو ئەگەر من لە هاتنم دواکەوتم، تۆ بزانی خەڵک چۆن لە ماڵی خودا ڕەفتار بکەن، کە کڵێسای خودای زیندووە و کۆڵەکە و بناغەی ڕاستییە.

and if I delay, that you may know how it is required to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is an assembly of the living God—a pillar and foundation of the truth,

16 بێگومان نهێنی لەخواترسی گەورەیە، کە ئەمەیە: «ئەو لە جەستەدا دەرکەوت، لەلایەن ڕۆحی پیرۆزەوە پاکانەی بۆ کرا، لەلایەن فریشتەکانەوە بینرا، لەنێو نەتەوەکان جاڕی بۆ درا، لە جیهاندا باوەڕی پێ هێنرا و لە شکۆمەندیدا بەرزکرایەوە.»

and confessedly, great is the secret of piety: who was revealed in flesh, declared righteous in [the] Spirit, seen by messengers, preached among nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory!
