یەکەم سالۆنیکی 1

1 لە پۆڵس و سیلا و تیمۆساوسەوە، بۆ کڵێسای سالۆنیکییەکان کە لەگەڵ خودای باوک و عیسای مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆدا بوونەتە یەک: با نیعمەت و ئاشتیتان لەگەڵ بێت.

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 هەموو کات لە پێناوی هەر یەکێکتاندا سوپاسی خودا دەکەین و بێ بڕانەوە لە نوێژەکانمان یادتان دەکەین،

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.

3 بەردەوام لەبەردەم خودای باوکماندا ئەو کارانەتان بەبیر دەهێنینەوە کە بەرهەمی باوەڕتانە، هەروەها ئەو ڕەنجەتان کە لە خۆشەویستییەوەیە و ئەو دانبەخۆداگرتنەشتان کە سەرچاوە دەگرێت لە هیواتان بە عیسای مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆمان.

Incessantly remembering your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father:

4 ئەی خوشکان و برایان، خۆشەویستانی خودا، دەزانین کە خودا ئێوەی هەڵبژاردووە،

knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.

5 چونکە تەنها بە قسە پەیامی ئینجیلمان بۆ نەهێنان، بەڵکو بە هێز و بە ڕۆحی پیرۆز و بە دڵنیایی تەواوەوە، وەک دەزانن لە پێناوی ئێوە لەنێوانتاندا چ جۆرە کەسێک بووین.

For our gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the holy Ghost, and in much certainty; as ye know what sort of persons we were among you for your sakes.

6 ئێوەش لاسایی ئێمە و مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆتان کردەوە، لە تەنگانەیەکی گەورەدا بە خۆشی ڕۆحی پیرۆز پێشوازیتان لە پەیامەکە کرد،

And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word tho' in much affliction, yet with joy of the holy Ghost.

7 تاکو بوونە نموونە بۆ هەموو باوەڕداران لە مەکدۆنیا و ئەخایا.

So that ye became examples to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

8 پەیامی مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ لەلای ئێوەوە بڵاو کرایەوە، نەک تەنها لە مەکدۆنیا و ئەخایا، بەڵکو ناوبانگی باوەڕتان بە خودا لە هەموو شوێنێکدا بڵاو بووەتەوە. لەبەر ئەوە پێویست ناکات هیچ شتێک بڵێین،

For the word of the Lord sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia; but also in every place your faith towards God is spread abroad, so that we have no need to say any thing of it.

9 چونکە خۆیان باسمان دەکەن کە پێشوازیتان لە ئێمە چۆن بووە و چۆن لە بتپەرستییەوە گەڕاونەتەوە بۆ لای خودا، تاکو خودای زیندوو و ڕاست بپەرستن و

For they themselves declare concerning us what kind of entrance we had among you, and how ye turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God;

10 چاوەڕێی کوڕەکەی بکەن لە ئاسمان، ئەوەی لەنێو مردووان هەڵیستاندەوە، مەبەست لە عیسایە، کە لە تووڕەیی داهاتووی خودا دەربازمان دەکات.

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivereth us from the wrath to come.
