یەکەم ساموئێل 7

1 ئینجا پیاوانی قیریەت یەعاریم هاتن و سندوقی یەزدانیان سەرخست و بردیانە ژوورەوە بۆ ماڵی ئەبیناداب کە لەسەر گردەکە بوو، ئەلعازاری کوڕیان تەرخان کرد بۆ پارێزگاریکردن لە سندوقی یەزدان.

The men of Kiriath Jearim came, took the ark of Yahweh, and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill. They set apart his son Eleazar to keep the ark of Yahweh.

2 ئەوە بوو لە ڕۆژی داگرتنی سندوقەکەوە لە قیریەت یەعاریم، ماوەکە درێژەی کێشا و بیست ساڵی خایاند، هەموو بنەماڵەی ئیسرائیل لەبەردەم یەزدان بە لاوانەوەوە نزایان دەکرد.

From the day the ark remained in Kiriath Jearim, a long time passed, twenty years. All the house of Israel lamented and wished to turn to Yahweh.

3 ساموئێل بە هەموو بنەماڵەی ئیسرائیلی گوت: «ئەگەر ئێوە دەتانەوێ بە هەموو دڵتانەوە بگەڕێنەوە بۆ لای یەزدان، ئەوا ئەو خوداوەندە بێگانانە و عەشتۆرەتەکان لەنێو خۆتان دووربخەنەوە و دڵتان بۆ یەزدان ئامادە بکەن و تەنها ئەو بپەرستن، ئەویش لە دەست فەلەستییەکان فریاتان دەکەوێت.»

Samuel said to the entire house of Israel, “If you return to Yahweh with your whole heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, turn your hearts to Yahweh, and worship him only, then he will rescue you from the hand of the Philistines.”

4 نەوەی ئیسرائیلیش بەعلەکان و عەشتۆرەتەکانیان دوورخستەوە و بە تەنها یەزدانیان پەرست.

Then the people of Israel removed the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and worshiped Yahweh only.

5 ئینجا ساموئێل گوتی: «هەموو ئیسرائیل لە میچپا کۆبکەنەوە هەتا لە پێناوی ئێوە لە یەزدان بپاڕێمەوە.»

Then Samuel said, “Bring together all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to Yahweh for you.”

6 ئەوانیش لە میچپا کۆبوونەوە، ئاویان کێشا و لەبەردەم یەزداندا ڕشتیان، لەو ڕۆژەدا بەڕۆژوو بوون، لەوێ گوتیان: «ئێمە گوناهمان لە دژی یەزدان کردووە.» ساموئێل لە میچپادا ڕابەرایەتی نەوەی ئیسرائیلی کرد.

They gathered at Mizpah, drew water and poured it out before Yahweh. They fasted that day and said, “We have sinned against Yahweh.” It was there that Samuel decided disputes for the people of Israel and led the people.

7 کاتێک فەلەستییەکان بیستیان نەوەی ئیسرائیل لە میچپا کۆبوونەتەوە، حوکمڕانە فەلەستییەکان سەرکەوتن بۆ هێرشبردنە سەر ئیسرائیل، نەوەی ئیسرائیلیش کە ئەمەیان بیست لە فەلەستییەکان ترسان.

Now when the Philistines heard the people of Israel had gathered at Mizpah, the rulers of the Philistines attacked Israel. When the people of Israel heard of it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

8 نەوەی ئیسرائیل بە ساموئێلیان گوت: «لە پێناوی ئێمە بەردەوام بە لە پاڕانەوە لە یەزدانی پەروەردگارمان، بەڵکو لە دەست فەلەستییەکان ڕزگارمان بکات.»

Then the people of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not stop calling out to Yahweh our God for us, so he will save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

9 ساموئێلیش بەرخۆڵەیەکی شیرەخۆرەی برد و کردییە قوربانی سووتاندنێکی تەواو بۆ یەزدان. ساموئێل لە پێناوی ئیسرائیل لە یەزدان پاڕایەوە و یەزدانیش وەڵامی دایەوە.

Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to Yahweh. Then Samuel cried out to Yahweh for Israel, and Yahweh answered him.

10 ئەوە بوو کاتێک کە ساموئێل قوربانی سووتاندنەکەی پێشکەش دەکرد، فەلەستییەکان هاتنە پێش بۆ جەنگ لە دژی ئیسرائیل، بەڵام لەو ڕۆژەدا یەزدان بە دەنگێکی بەرز بەسەر فەلەستییەکاندا گرماندی و بە جۆرێک پەشۆکاندنی کە لەبەردەم ئیسرائیلدا بەزین.

As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines approached to attack Israel. But Yahweh thundered with a loud sound that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were routed before Israel.

11 پیاوانی ئیسرائیلیش لە میچپا هاتنە دەرەوە و بەدوای فەلەستییەکان کەوتن و هەتا خوار بێت‌کار لێیان دان.

The men of Israel went from Mizpah, and they pursued the Philistines and killed them as far as below Beth Kar.

12 ئینجا ساموئێل بەردێکی هەڵگرت و لەنێوان میچپا و شێن بە ستوونی ڕاگیری کرد و ناوی لێنا «بەردی یارمەتی» و گوتی: «یەزدان هەتا ئێرە یارمەتی داین.»

Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far Yahweh has helped us.”

13 بەم جۆرە فەلەستییەکان چاویان شکا و جارێکی دیکە نەهاتنەوە سەر سنووری ئیسرائیل. یەزدانیش بە درێژایی ژیانی ساموئێل لە دژی فەلەستییەکان بوو.

So the Philistines were subdued and they did not enter the border of Israel. The hand of Yahweh was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

14 ئەو شارۆچکانەش کە فەلەستییەکان لە ئیسرائیلیان بردبوو گەڕایەوە بۆ ئیسرائیل، لە عەقرۆنەوە هەتا گەت، ئیسرائیل سنوورەکانی خۆی لە چنگ فەلەستییەکان دەرهێنا. لەو کاتەدا لەنێوان گەلی ئیسرائیل و ئەمۆرییەکانیشدا پەیمانی ئاشتی هەبوو.

The towns that the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron to Gath; Israel brought back their territory from the Philistines. Then there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.

15 ساموئێلیش بە درێژایی ژیانی ڕابەرایەتی ئیسرائیلی کرد و

Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

16 ساڵ لەدوای ساڵ دەڕۆیشت و دەگەڕا بەناو بێت‌ئێل و گلگال و میچپادا و لە هەموو ئەو شوێنانەدا ڕابەرایەتی ئیسرائیلی دەکرد.

Each year he went on a circuit to Bethel, to Gilgal, and to Mizpah. He decided disputes for Israel in all these places.

17 بەڵام هەمیشە دەگەڕایەوە بۆ ڕامە، چونکە ماڵەکەی لەوێ بوو و لەوێ ڕابەرایەتی ئیسرائیلی دەکرد و لەوێدا قوربانگایەکی بۆ یەزدان بنیاد نا.

Then he would return to Ramah, because his house was there; and there also he decided disputes for Israel. He also built an altar there to Yahweh.
