< Maroma 7 >
1 Kapa kawizi, bakwangu (mukuti, nikwete kuwamba kubantu bezi mulao), mukuti mulao njoyendisa muntu inako yose yahala?
BUT know you not, my brethren, for to those who know the law I speak, that the law has authority over a man as long as he liveth?
2 Mukuti mwanakazi yosesetwe usuminwa chamulao kwamwihyabwe hebanachihala, kono mukwame hafwa, chazwisiwa kumulao wamasenso.
as a woman who is bound in law to her husband as long as he liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is freed from the law of her husband.
3 Linuhape, cheyoinako mwihyabwe nachihala, heba nakahala ni wungi mukwame, kasupiwe musangu. Kono heba mwihyabwe ufwa, ulukuluhute kumulao, linu kena musangu, heba nakekala ni wungi mukwame.
But if, while her husband lives, she adhere to another man, she becometh an adulteress; but if her husband shall die, she is freed from the law, and is not an adulteress, though she become (the wife) of another man.
4 Chobulyo, bakwangu, mubatendwa bafwile kumulao chamubili wa Kiriste. Ichi chitendahala bulyo kuti mubemubantu bonke, linuhe, kozo yababuswa kubafwile, kuti tubike zichelantu za Ireeza.
And now, my brethren, you also are dead to the law, through the body of the Meshiha, that you should be married to another, (namely, to) him who rose from the dead, that you may render fruit unto Aloha.
5 Mukuti hatubena munyama, itakazo zechive zibabusuluswa kubamwi bentu chamulao kuleta zichelantu kukati ifu.
For while we were in the flesh, the affections of sin, which are against the law, wrought powerfully in our members to yield fruits unto death;
6 Konohanu tubalukululwa kumulao. Tubafwi kechina chibatusumine. Ichi china bulyo mukuti tusebeze mubuhya bwaluhuho imi isini mukusupala kweñolo.
but now we are loosed from the law, and are dead to that which held us, that we might serve henceforth in the newness of the spirit, and not in the oldness of the writing.
7 Katuwambe nzi linu? Kana mulao uwo wine chive? Kanzi nikubebulyo hape. Nihakubabulyo, ninisana nibezibi chive, heba nikusana kubabi chamulao. Mukuti ninisana nibezibi kuti kulakaza chive hesi mulao hawuwamba, “kanzi ulakazi.”
What then, say we the law is sin? Not so. But sin I had not learned (to know) but by the law: for I had not known concupiscence (to be sinful), but (by) the law, which hath said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 Kono chive chiba hindi chibaka mumulao imi libaleti ilato lisali lyeniti kwangu. Mukuti hebakakwina mulao, chive chifwile.
And by this commandment sin found for itself an occasion, and completed in me all concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 Mwinako yimwi nibakuhala ni kusena mulao, kono mulao hawiza, chive chichahala, imi ime chinafwa.
But I was alive without the law formerly: but when the commandment came, sin lived, and I died.
10 Mulao ubakuleta kuhala ubaleti kufwa kwangu.
And that commandment of life was found to me (to tend) unto death.
11 Mukuti chive chibawani chibaka mumulao, imi chibanichengeleli. Kakuya chamulao chibanihayi.
For sin, by the occasion it found through the commandment, deceived me, and thereby killed me.
12 Chobulyo mulao ujolwele, ni taelo ijolwele, yinahande ni kushiyama.
The law therefore is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Kana chilotu chibabi ifu kwangu? Kanzi ni kubi bulyo. Kono chive, chibatondezi bubi mukati kabulotu, kubaleti kufwa kwangu. Ichi chibabi bulyo kuya chamulao, chive chiwola kuba chintu chibi chisawolwi kupimwa.
The good, then, unto me, unto death was made? Not so. But sin, that it might be seen what sin is, by the good (law) effected death in me, that sin might be the more condemned by the commandment.
14 Mukuti twizi kuti mulao luhuho, kono ime ninyama. Nibawuzwa kuti nibeni mutanga wechive.
For we know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, and sold unto sin.
15 Mukuti chonse chinitenda, kanichizuwisisi. Mukuti chonse chinisaka kutenda, kanichitendi, imi chinitoyete, nichitenda.
For what I work, I know not; and not that which I will, I do; but what I hate, that I do.
16 Kono heba nitenda chinisasaki, ni zuminzana ni mulao kuti mulao mulotu.
And if the thing that I would not, I do, I witness of the law that it is good.
17 Kono hanu kaichili ime yozitenda, kono chive chihala mukati kangu.
But now it is not I who work this, but sin which dwelleth in me.
18 Mukuti nizi kuti china kwangu, njichina munyamayangu, kakuhali chituchilotu. Mukuti itakazo yezilotu yina name, kono kaniwoli kuchitenda.
For I know that in me, but that is in my flesh, good dwelleth not; because to will the good is easy to me, but to perform it I find not.
19 Mukuti zilotu zinisaka kutenda kanizitendi, kono zive zinisasaki kutenda, zinitenda.
For the good that I will to do, I do not; but the evil that I will not to do, that do I.
20 Linuhanu haba nitenda chinisasaki kutenda, linu kayichili ime yochitenda, kono chive china name.
And if the thing that I will not I do, it is not I who do it, but sin which dwelleth in me.
21 Niwana, linu, mazimo enakwangu akuti nisaka kutenda chilotu, kono chive initi china name.
I find then a law which accordeth with my mind, that willeth to do good, because evil is near to me.
22 Linu nitabela mulao we Ireeza ni muntu wina name.
For I rejoice in the law of Aloha in the interior man;
23 Kono nibona mazimo angi muzilama zenyamayangu. Zilwisana ni mazimo aboko kwangu. Ziletwa kusuminwa kwa mazimo echive ena muzilama zenyamayangu.
but I see another law in my members, which warreth against the law of my mind, making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members.
24 Nimuntu yasena ituso! Njeni yese anizwise mowu mubili wefu?
25 Kono kulitumela kube kwa Ireeza ka Jesu Krisite Simwine wentu! Linuhanu, ime nimwine nisebeleza mulao wa Ireeza nengana. Nihakubabulyo, mwinyama nisebeleza mazimo echive.
I give thanks to Aloha! (it is) by the hand of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha. Now then, I in my mind am the servant of the law of Aloha, but in my flesh I am the servant of the law of sin.
