< Makolose 3 >

1 Cwale haiva Ireza ava mivusi ni Keresite, mu gane zintu zo kwi wulu, uko Kerisite wikere kwi yanza lye chilyo lye Ireza.
Since, therefore, you were raised to life with the Christ, seek for the things that are above; for it is there that the Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Muhupule cha zintu zina mwi wulu, isiñi che zintu za hefasi.
Fix your thoughts on the things that are above, not on those that are on earth.
3 Kakuli muva fwi, mi vuhalo bwenu vupatitwe ni Keresite mwa Ireza.
For you died, and your life now lies hidden, with the Christ, in God.
4 Hate na voneke Keresite, iye vuhalo bwenu, cwale kamu voneke naye mwi nkanya.
When the Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Muvike kwifu, cwale, zilama zina hasi- vushahi, kusa jolola, kusava ni chishemo, itakazo imbi, ni ku lya ahulu, ili maswaniso.
Therefore destroy all that is earthly in you – immorality, uncleanness, passions, evil desires, and that greed which is idolatry.
6 Ivali njezi zintu kuti vukali bwe Irea vu kezite ha vaana swisu vasa zuwi.
These are the things because of which the wrath of God comes,
7 Njimona mwezi zintu nanwe ha imwi inako mumu va yendi hamuvali kuhala muzili.
and to which you, like others, once devoted your lives, when you lived for them.
8 Kono hanu inwe muswanera kusoha zonse izi zintu- vukali, vuvengi, mihupulo mivi, kutukana ni ziyambo zivilala kuzwa mu milomo yenu.
You, however, must now lay aside all such things – anger, passion, malice, slander, abuse.
9 Kanji mukuli chenganga, akubona muva cupuli muntu wakale ni nkezo zakwe,
Never lie to one another. Get rid of your old self and its habits,
10 mi ci muva zwati muntu muhya unzo yo chafazwa mwi ngana cho kuya che chiswaniso chozo yenke yava chivumbi.
and clothe yourselves with that new self, which, as it gains in knowledge, is being constantly renewed in resemblance to him who made it.
11 Ichi njaho kakusina Mugerike ni Mujunda, womupato ni yasali wamupato, mubabaria, Sisenia, mutanga, yolukuluhite, kono Keresite nji yense, mi wina muzonse.
In that new life there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all! – and in all!
12 Muzwate, cwale, sina va ketiwa ve Ireza, kuchena ni sakiwa, vali tovohete, mañeke, kusalitundula, inse, ni kusavenga.
Therefore, as God’s people, consecrated and dear to him, clothe yourselves with tenderness of heart, kindliness, humility, gentleness, forbearance;
13 Mukwaterane zumwi cha zumwi. Muve ni musa kuzumwi ni zumwi. Haiva zumwi wina impiraero kuamana ni zumwi, muswalere mwi nzira iswana mwava kuswaleleri Simwine.
bearing with one another, and, when there is any ground for complaint, forgiving one another freely. As the Master freely forgave you, so you must forgive one another.
14 Hewulu wezi zonse zintu, muve ni rato, ili icho chisuminiso che kuvahande.
Over all these virtues put on love; for that is the belt which makes all complete.
15 Muzuminine i nkozo ya Keresite kuvusa mwi nkulo zenu. ivali cheyi kozo hamuva sumpiwa mumuviri umwina. Mi mulitumere.
Let the peace that the Christ gives decide all doubts within your hearts; for you also were called to the enjoyment of peace as members of one body. And show yourselves thankful.
16 Muzuminine linzwi lye keresite lihale mwenu cho vufumu. Cho vutali vonse murute mi mususuweze zumwi ni zumwi cha lisamu ni zimbo ni zimbo zo luhuho. Muzimbe cho vulitumero mwi nkulo zenu kwe Ireza.
Let the message of the Christ be alive in your minds in all its wealth, bringing all wisdom with it. Teach and admonish one another with psalms, and hymns, and sacred songs, full of the loving kindness of God, lifting your hearts in song to him.
17 Mi chose chimupanga, muma nzwi ni mwi kenzo, mupange zonse mwizina lya Simwine Jesu. Muhe vulitumero kwe Ireza ishetu chakwe.
And, whatever you say or do, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus; and through him offer thanksgiving to God the father.
18 Vafumahali, mulivike kusi yiva mwihenwanu, sina haili iswanero kwa Simwine.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as befits those who belong to the Lord.
19 Veshetu, musake vafumahali venu, mi kanji muvi ni vuvengi kuamana navo.
Husbands, love your wives, and never treat them harshly.
20 Vahwire, muzuwe ziva miwambira vashemi venu muzintu zonse, kaukili ichi chi tavisa kwa Simwine.
Children, always obey your parents; for that is pleasant to see in those who belong to the Lord.
21 Veshetu, kanji muvengisi vanenu, iri kuli kanji va zwafi.
Fathers, never irritate your children, otherwise they might become disheartened.
22 Vatanga, muzuwe vamiyendisa cho kuya chenyama muzintu zonse, isiñi cha musevezi wa menso sina vatavisa vantu, kono che nkulo yavuitumero. Mutiye Simwine.
Slaves, always obey your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you, as if you had but to please people alone, but giving them ungrudging service, in your respect for the Master.
23 Chonse cho panga, usevezekuzwirira kumuhupulo sina kwa Simwine mi isiñi cha vantu.
Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as if working for the Master and not for people,
24 Mwinzi kuti kamu tambule kwa Simwine impo zo kuyola. Ji Simwine Keresite uzo umusevereza.
since you know that it is from the Master that you will receive the inheritance which will be your reward. You are serving Christ, the Master.
25 Uzo yense yo mpanga zisalukite zava pangi, mi kakwina chilivonda.
Those who do wrong will reap the wrong they have done; and there will be no partiality.
