< 2 Timotea 2 >

1 Cwale iwe, banangu, mukozwe mu chishemo cha na mwa Kreste Jesu.
You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Mi ni zintu zimwa zuwa kwangu hakatu ke mpaki zingi, muzi tambike ku vantu va sepahala vete va wole ku luta vamwi hape.
The things which you have heard from me amongst many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
3 Munyande muvukavo - vukukutu neme, sina ili isole lyi shiyeme lya Kreste Jesu.
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4 Kakwina i sole lyi seveza nili suminwe muzintu zovunu vuhalo, kuti a tavise wina he wulu lyakwe.
No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
5 Mi hape, haiva zumwi wi zuziliza kuva yo tiya, kazwatikiwa i kuwani yo mushukwe haisi ha yenderera ni milao.
Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
6 Mi itukero yo mulimi yo seveza ahulu kuti atambule inkavelo yakwe ye zimelantu kumatangilo.
The farmer who labours must be the first to get a share of the crops.
7 Hupule chini wamba, kaho Ireeza kamihe inkutwisiso muzintu zonse.
Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
8 Muhupule Kreste Jesu, kuzwa kwi mbuto ya Davida, yava vuswa kuvamwi va fwire. Ichi chiya che ñusa lye ivangeli yangu.
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,
9 Kecho ni nyanda mane kusika he nako yo kusuminwa sina ni chisinyi. Kono linzwi lya Ireeza kali suminwe.
in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.
10 Yahaho niva nyandi muzintu zonse kwavo vava ku ketetwe, kuti niva wole kuwana impuluso ina mwa Kreste Jesu, ni nkanya iya ku mamanimani. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
11 Ichi chiwambo chi sepahala: “haiva tuva fwi naye, ka twikale naye hape.
This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
12 Haiva tu wonderela, katu vuse naye hape. Haiva ni tu musampula, katu sampule naye.
If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13 Haiva katu sepahali, ushala na sepahala, kakuli ka woli ku lisampula iye mwine.
If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”
14 Uwondelele kuva hupulisa ke zi zintu. Uva kalimele havusu bwe ireeza kuti kanji va lilwisi ku amana ni ziyambo. Kelyi vaka kakwina chintu chimwi cho vutokwa. Kelyi vaka kwina kusinya sinya kwavo va teka.
Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord that they don’t argue about words to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
15 Pange chi woleka kuti uve zumwi wa zuminwa kwa Ireeza, muveleki u sena cho kuswava, yo luta inako yonse inzwi lye niti.
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
16 Uzwe kwi ndava zo kuwamba wamba, zimi twala kuku nyazeleza ku mizwisa mwi nzila ina hande.
But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,
17 Ku wamba kwavo kaku yende. Mukati kavo va Hymenaeus nima Philetus.
and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:
18 Ava nji vakwame va sena vava zuwa vuniti. Va wamba kuti ku vuka kuvafwire ckiva pangahali kale. Va chinca i ntumelo i vamwi.
men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
19 Ni hakuva bulyo, mutomo u kolete wa Ireeza uzimana. Ina nili swayo: “Simwine wizi avo vali vakwe” mi “yense u sumpa izina lya Simwine uswanela kuzwa ku zintu zi sena hande.”'
However, God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
20 Mwi nzuvo i fumite, kakwina fela imponto ze gauda ni silivera. Kwina hape impoto zo kuveza hazi kuni nizo kuvumba he rongo. Zimwi zina musevezi u sepahala, ni zimwi zisa sepahali.
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honour and some for dishonour.
21 Haiva kwina zumwi yoli joloza kuzi sa sepahali, muntu yo sepahala. Uvikitwe ku mbali, wina musevezi kwa Simwine, mi uvikilwe musevezi mulotu.
If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.
22 Uzwe kwi takazo zovu jaha. Tundamine zi chena, intumelo, irato, ni nkozo navo va sumpa kwa Simwine kuzwa kwi nkulo ichena.
Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 Kono mukane vuhole ni mpuzo zi sena hande. Wizi kuti zi zala inkani.
But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
24 Muhikana wa Simwine ka swaneli ku panga inkani. Kono uswanela kuva yo lukite ku vonse, yo wola ku ruta, ni kuwola ku lindila.
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
25 Uswanela kuva wa chisemo ku luta vana vasa zumini va mulwisa. Mwendi Ireeza kawole kuvaha kuvaka ke ntuto ye niti.
in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
26 Kavave vena hande hape niku zwa mutuswa twa dyavulusu, kasamulaho okuva kwata che ntato yakwe.
and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
